Double reminder - this is tonight. Show up as close to 6:30 as you can for BBQ and meet and greet. Will kick off tech workshop no later than 7:30. Earlier if we can, as this give you guys more time for Q+A plus any purchasing you may want to do. They have a drift car, variety bash car and a targa RX7 in there at the moment as well as some other customer cars to show us setups on. Should be good.. Cya there. -
Help With Cams Licence Application
Scotsman replied to abcent's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Nope. No contact from CAMS. -
Found an error in the event schedule. Please re-download and print page 7 if it concerns you. The description for Event 4 is actually the description for handbrake 101. No biggie!!
-
You are.... I have updated the entry list and put people into groups. (see 1st post) Let me know ASAP if you wish to be close to a specific person, and i'll see what I can do. But after tonight. Too late.

Help With Cams Licence Application
Scotsman replied to abcent's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Yeah not important. I think I just put N/A (for not applicable) but the above answer is probably better. I think the point of the question is to cover CAMS arse, and if you did have a serious medical condition then your version of Dr.House could advise which steroids your on in case of an emergency. Abcent - Don't send your form off to CAMS now. Bring it along on Sat and give us the money and forms. This way we can issue you a 30 day temporary licence. If you send it off we have no way of verifying. -
Just as much as any other ashphault surface. It is a little bit rough there thou. I guess it depends on how hard your going to go. But we will attempt to water it down. I still need to speak to the DECA manager about this. If you just do a couple of circles, it shouldn't be that noticable tread wear. But if you smoke it up for a full 2mins, may take 15% off a tyre.

There probably is middle steps, but they only exists for councils to bully around 'the little guy'. I sez take it above their heads and show em the size of your russian lada wang!
-
As the current motor sport director I can tell you that SAU doesn't do events in half measures. If you do get the opportunity to come along to a DECA day or Driver Training day you should, as you will see our events are well organised and our volunteers (including instructors, marshalls, committee and even me) are dedicated to putting on an enjoyable day. However we all do have full time employment and sometimes organising these things can be taxing. Please be patient with us, and don't take ash's posts as agressive.. Thanks, Chris.
-
Hi Sarah, Can you please re-fax your entry forms, as it seems I don't have them. If your payment did in fact go in before we closed the event, we will squeeze you in. Thanks, Chris.

Phillips Island - we tested with four people and they all improved by exactly five seconds straight away. Sandown was like 4 seconds average A decent steerer should be able to pull four seconds easy, and come close to five seconds even at a track like Winton.
-
I know with road offences you can just sign the back and ask for it to be heard in the magistrates court. Then they send you a summons. But not sure how you would request this one be heard. Ring the council and ask for the matter to be heard in court. You wont believe how easy it is to resolve things this way.
-
In - I like the idea of transporter and mini bus. SAU Road Trip
-
I would definatly agree with that. Plus driving style/events types will play a major factor.
-
I'm fixing up resume now. Might give it a go. But i'm not moving for less than 70k.
-
Going to magistrates court isn't that hard, and their should be no costs unless you are given like a $30 court cost if you loose. All it takes is a half day off work, suit up and sit in the court waiting to be called. (only an hour if your called first) and tell the magistrate your story, and why you believe the fine should be reversed. Your case will only be heard for like 2mins, then the magistrate will decide. Chances are it will be going on lunch time and after he's heard from 20+ drink driving re-offenders, your parking story will be weak and instantly reversed. Also make sure that if you have proof or witnesses, then that may help too. I had a stupid fine reversed this way. Also listening to other loosers story's in court is quite amusing. But bottom line - council's don't care, magistrate's are a push over.
-
You forgot to say - they go fast! But yes the above is true. (Sigh) The price we pay to go 5sec quicker per lap.
-
There has been a price change, as of the 1/6/06 I think he said. I only asked about the following sizes thou, so check with Donnellans. 245/40/18 - 405inc 265/35/18 - 440inc

I've Drilled Through My Carbon Bonnet
Scotsman replied to abcent's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Yeah I'm just a red neck, so I didn't even bother about this. Drilled my bonnet pins in about a year ago and it seems there has been no warping or expanind in the layers from moisture. But I have got some slight fractures in the top layer from the pressure I have placed on the pins. However, Don't be a c0ck like me and drill holes in places they aren't required. But if you find yourself in this predicament, you can just as easily pass them off to your friends as 'speed holes', and you will find that the following week everyone will have random speed holes drilled into their bonnets. -
Do you know what's actually on? Any details might help.. web site?
