  1. This is also why you break gearboxes. Solid centre clutches are no good people! Ferni - Back me up here..
  2. If you haven't ever receive an email from me about helping us out with these projects, please PM me you email address and I will add you to the list of helpers. social@wrx added.
  3. Yeah you wish Brisby! You would still have no chance. I'm out - No money for the new Semi's and Pads required. I hope it rains on you all.. (Walks off sulking..)
  4. I know this all comes down to poor organisation, but in the WRX club's defence dealing with Winton and anything AASA is a big pain!! I have to deal with these people for our DECA days and they could be considered less than professional. Nice people, but not always helpfull.
  5. I can host footage if ppl need. Will be an after 5pm FTP thou. Let me know and I can setup an upload. Also I will be starting to collect footage for the next official SAU DVD, so anyone out there that has footage please let me know, and I'll start arranging to collect it from you.
  6. Go the 'R' I knew those lancer's couldn't beat the real deal forever. May have to take a leaf from Mark and Russ' book.
  7. I think i'm saying: "Get me another drink, cause I havn't had enough yet!" Or perhaps: "We're not accepting Blaises entry form next time. He's too fast!" Or even: "James I know your only taking pictures of me specifically to photochop later. P1ss off!!"
  8. I've packed three!
  9. I'll bring Ash's pink tu-tu for you to wear down the main street of shep. One of the hard-corey drag racers is sure to pick you up. I'm sure you can make some extra cash that way to pay for the rebuild!
  10. So has anyone got two beds left for Sat night? I have two mates looking at coming up.
  11. I drove past a place called GP sportscars in bayswater just today. They are opposite Malvern Motorsport 47 Malvern St Bayswater 3153 Down the back of a set of factoy's.
  12. As long as it's not a solid centre Exedy. Use it.
  13. Buy a new clutch. Rebuild the old clutch later and sell it off as a rebuilt clutch. The extreme clutch supplier dude that me and Al have used will deliver next day. Wack the new clutch and BOX in on thu night and bob's my dad. Don't worry about the time taken to do it. As Ash said, it wont take all night. Is it currently a twin plate?
  14. So just old box out and new box in? Should be easily done in one night. Even with only 2-3 ppl. What time we starting? Make sure you have things like new oil, WD40, rags, oil pan (ice cream containers) I'll bring jack, jack stands and tools.
  15. Is the old box still in the car? Do you need to replace things like thrust bearing, clutch plates? Will the flywheel need machining?
  16. I think James is leading this one. UHF CB Ch 14. And I would suggest getting there 7:30
  17. If you guys are serious about getting the 180 sorted, I will lend a hand if I have time on Thu. It can't be any more painfull than the GTR Box. TX5 boy and me had that out and in pretty quick. Dane find a place. Can anyone lend a factory with hoist we can use late?
  18. Dane will be there, he loves the hats too much.
  19. I have released the event schedule for download. Please print and bring with you if you would like a colour copy. Edited 1st Post. Event Schedule: Click Here If link doesn't work try here: Click Here
  20. Hey, Aren't you guys both navigators? Who's gonna drive? The GPS has no hands!
  21. I agree mate. We all have to keep in mind that these days are meant to be fun and we shouldn't put pressure on people to punch out times. Sandown is a track that has claimed many Skylines, and i'm glad we didn't see that this time around. I must admit I feel more pressure at sandown, as people seem to use this as a benchmark and all the big cars come out to play. I don't agree with you saying that it's easy to make a slow car go quick and harder to make a fast car go fast. I understand what your trying to get across about reaching the limits of the car, but at a track like sandown there is a lot of straight bits, and all these guys are pulling away from me fairly convincingly on the straight. At the risk of sounding stuck up, I had to work mega hard on my braking and corner speed to get a comparable time. I think without the oil on the track in the afternoon a 1.21.9 is possable.
  22. Not yet. But anyone can feel free to thow me their keys and i'll see what I can punch out. Just be aware that you need to sacrifice your undertray if you want good times at sandown. Roy - We have already won the 48-0 bet. You don't even have a car do you? Perhaps we will see you in Dutton 2007? or 08?
  23. Damn Rarri. He's got a heap more stomp than me thou. He's spent a fair bit on that thing. Pulls away pretty hard down the straight. So i'm very please that I was that close to him. It should go quicker on the full slicks. Roy - 48-0 will be a breeze! Bring on Dutton.
  24. Nah no steel wheels. just std ceramic crap that will surely lodge it'self in my piston rings one day. lol. It's all about the corner speed on previous corner, that gave the holeshot out of the corner. I used both ripple strips and apex. I even used the 1m of concrete on the other side of the ripple strip. U gotta use all the real estate. hehe.
  25. LOL. I have no idea how to react to this.. Good to hear you guys are on board. We're hoping to give it a red hot go this year.
