  1. SAU VIC Committee WANTS YOU!! The SAUVIC Committee, while having some members that are "tops" at graphic design, are being held up with some of our creative projects due to work commitments. If you have a little spare time on your hands and can put together some creative logo's, designs, vector graphics or use ms paint (only joking, sorry Ash.) then we want to speak to you. We have the need for some help with projects such as: SAU Business Cards, SAU Club Banner Poster, Merchandise designs and a few other little things. If you think you can help us out please let me know.
  2. Yeah I wanna have a crack at it too. Will be keen for the next one, as long as they are smart enuf this time round to not put it on the same weekend as the biggest motorsport event in australia.
  3. Dutton is fun. In 2005 we had a few SAU entrants and it was awesome to have the encouragement, comradery and support. I'm keen to give Dutton another shot after finding some speed in the tight stuff at Calder Rally Masters.
  4. Results for this event. http://www.racetime.com.au/racedata/c0604/...esult%20set.pdf Just so you all know.... "Teh GTR can nevar looose!"
  5. Not a bad day today. Snowballs and me should be in the top 5, as there were no real mistakes made. The only massive event tomorrow is the Grand Prix Circuit which is the one that incorporates the thunderdome and the national circuit as one lap timed sprint. Scheduled for 1:30 - 3:00. The rest of the events look crap on paper.
  6. Thats cause they only got 40 entries. It's going to be less successful than an SAU DECA day. PS. Me and Snowballs are gonna win!
  7. I don't think it will be free. Haven't seen any pricing, but it's Calder. They don't do anything for free.
  8. Snowy is a hard core racer dude - That's why his box broke. No other reason's are required.
  9. Yeah I usually bring one.
  10. Last time the boys played tyre swappy's at the Island it was five seconds all round with three drivers getting this increase almost immediatly. I want to get 49's at the island before I add more power to my car. Aaron did you do a 49 bfore the upgrade?
  11. Post more information for the punters, and the level of support will increase. Please don't take this the wrong way, i'm not having a go. Just trying to help the scene, as you will most likely see me hit some of these events in a gemini of some description. I know some things were discussed at the VIC meeting, but not all members were at the meeting. For example I would like to know.. 1. Cost of the event? 2. Who is backing the event and insurance coverage? 3. How do you plan to run the event? 4. What kind of instruction for beginners is going to be avaliable on the day? 5. What level of cars can enter? Does the car need to be registered? Thanks
  12. He gets around. U know how it is. Just realised i'm not going to be in the country for this one either.
  13. LOL - Was way too much fun! My clutch hasn't been the same since. May have had something to do with the fat bastards in the back.
  14. If you have already downlaoded the event schedule, please delete it and get this updated version. 1. Have added map of DECA grounds 2. Changed running order times 3. Updated the Long wang (some of the arrows were pointing in the wrong direction) Event Schedule Download - (FTP) SAU Download section is broken. The above link should work.
  15. All monies have been forwarded to Meridian. Stock is in and set aside for us. VIC people will be able to pickup their harnesses at the SAU-VIC General metting on Tue night (21st) if they wish. I will be posting others on Tuesday afternoon or Wed morning.
  16. I'm also interested in the same size as Ferni. 18x10.5 Happy to wait for a good deal. Would prefer rims with no rubber or RE55's
  17. Go the Wang!
  18. Bank account details sent to all who are interested. PM me if you didn't receive anything. This group buy will end Monday 20th Feb
  19. Will be ordering as soon as money is collected. We should be able to have the harnesses by the end of the week. Do you want one? If so what color and 4 point or six?
  20. I'm tempted to go back to std class! LOL. You boys are getting too quick for team stock turbs over here. Come mid year i'll be the only GTR running a std bottom end too. Thats not a bad time Matt. Well done Jack. It seems you've found your wang too. Keep it up. Looks like your going to be my benchmark now.

Tis' cool to see SAU taking off like this. Makes all the hard work we put in worth it. I'll definatly pickup a copy ASAP. Three cheers for Joel!!! Nice work mate.
  22. I'd have to go with Duncan on the SP-9000's. I also found them an excellent road tyre, and would definatly use them again. You must have got a bad tyre, incorrect suspension setup or tyre pressures to be unhappy with these.
  23. It was more a theoretical question. Let's say I get T-Boned crossing the short track at winton by a car doing 200+ Or slide into a concrete pit wall seperator at speed.
  24. I have a question. And I may just be stiring up useless conversation, from the usual crowd, but I think it's valid. Even with Provo's setup. Which by the way look shmick, easy to use, and functional. What would happen if you were wearing a harness, hit a tree/car/pole from the passenger side and the car began to stretch around pole and become bananna shaped. You would be at risk of the harness seriously stretching, and I imagine that your body would be the weakest link. This bar wouldn't move, and the bottom ADR eyelets wouldn't move, but the distance between these two points would increase. I can imagine this would almost be a fatal situation, crushing your upper body, neck, shoulders, lungs etc. Now I know this wouldn't be as likely to happen with a full cage, as the car wouldn't bend. But are there any other ways of preventing this situation? Because while harnesses have their merit in rollovers, as apposed to a lap sash. I would imagine that a lap sash would be better in this situation, if the car was without a cage.
  25. As soon as we get a fifth person we will go ahead. If your sure you want one pete let me know and we can go ahead. Has everyone else got funds and still commited? Please PM me if your ready to go. Once I have five PM's I will reply with account details. If you require shipping please let me know that your are not in Victoria. PM me with your address and I will calculate shipping.
