HAHA Thanks guys. Yeah big celebrations this Sat night in Shep! Be there! KamikazeR33 - what the hell are you doin' at 3am posting birthday threads anyway? LOL
-
We'll have a look at it later in the week David. I'd say there will be some minor changes anyway with people pulling out. You'll be right, shouldn't be any more complicated than last time. It will make more sense once you see it run. Same deal as last time, Andrew and myself will run at the start of the groups to hopefully give you guys a good understanding of where to go. I'll Cya there. I'm BIG KEV Excited!

Damn Straight Nice pic Jo. All Evo's seem to be able to corner like that. I have been behind a few that lift wheels and squeel tyres in a weird slide, and amazingly still have a huge amount of grip.
-
I'll bring my camera mount and snow will have his too. Their shouldn't be any need for sweaters and gaffa tape, as safe as that sounds....... Also we will have a bullet cam for another car.

After doing some calculations, there will not be any time for an open skidpan unfortunatly. With 56 entrants doing 2-3 runs per event and 6 different events, the day will be jam packed from start to finish. Lunch will even be difficult to squeeze in. Keep an eye out for the 'event schedule' I will make this avaliable mid to end of next week.

Nice one mate. I looked for about 20 seconds and gave up.
-
Yeah big congrats guys! From everyone at SAU.

I was gonna go until I saw the $200 late entry price tag. I know a guy in the HSV car club and they are having a sandown day on the 29th Oct. $120 early entry. If your cars ready troy we'll go have a crack at those 1m22's Otherwise will do the NDSOC @ calder.

Awesome work guys! I was surprised I could walk this morning. That last 50km was done on pure determination and nothing else. Anyone who is thinking of doing this event... Don't. Or at least don't under estimate it as we did. Beer is not a dietry suppliment!

Thanks for fixing us up Hung. It doesn't really matter much since it's only a description, but u know these skyline boys are a bit anal about their cars. j/k

I've put my entry in now and payed by credit
-
Yeah no probs. Will make sure I have a few there.
-
Anyone else have this problem? Can you try it on another DVD player for me. If it's still doing the same thing let me know.
-
Still in production. Probably in December or January. After the 50 hours I spent editing that one, i'm not too keen to start it all over again. But I have a heap of footage from this year still to edit and we will no doubt have plenty of action from the upcoming DECA day on 19th Nov.

What about if we comute down to snowies place and leave from there all the way to the island. It's 103km Too much I guess. Lets go with Plan A. But now I have to get to St.Kilda on my way to phillip island. seems silly.

Yes, one of the main selling point of the Z is it's excellent weight distribution. 53 Front 47 Rear, and putting an RB26 in would change this geometry and probably turn the car into a pig on the track. However, Endless overcame this issue with carbon firbe panels in the front end and maintained the 53/47 stock weight distrubution. I haven't done any research, but i'm guessing a built RB26 transplant would be cheaper bang for buck than a built TT kit for the Z. And the other valid point is that the RB26 is a known stong staring point with an endless supply of off the shelf performance parts. This was one of the main reason I bought my R. I'm just suggesting here what my current dream is, and i'm basing my ideas on a jap car vid review of current tuned GTR's Vs. 350z with RB26 on the track and the 350 looked easier to steer and was a second quicker than the next closest GTR. But if I wanted a daily driver I would buy the Z. If I wanted performance bang for buck it's the GTR for sure.
-
Stock for Stock their is no comparison. But it is possible to make a fully tuned 350Z with RB26, beat a fully built GTR. But it requires an additional 50k and a lot of hard work. Yep I've been watching too many jap car DVD's. Short answer is, go the GTR !! No other car within 50k will deliver the same performance with light mods. Except maybe and Evo.
