Will let you guys know as soon as Toby is ready to go. I want to confirm everything with him before getting money in case there is any slight price change. When I change my oil I will have to disconnect the cooler and turn it upside down to empty it of oil. But I wasn't going to bother too much. I change mine quite often anyway. There is no prolem with mounting the cooler upside down, which would make empting easier. But then filling it up on startup after the oil change would be harder work for your engine. When putting the kit together I would recommend filling the core with oil before connecting the hoses to help eliminate any surge issues. But two seconds after your car starts the cooler will be full and will stay full all the time, unless it's mounted above the oil level. In the case of mounting it in front of radiator it may get some drain back over time. Which ever way you decide to mount it will work fine. After installing a cooler I'd say wait a lot longer before driving off once the car is started to make sure oil pressure is up. Dont just start and go staight away.

Toby has advised that he will have all the parts for everyones kit by Monday. He has told me to pass on that the $440 price will include 2x Straight Fittings and 2x 90 Degree fittings, a cooler, billet adapter, and 2.5m of hose. I think that the 2x 90 will go on the cooler if mounting in front bar and the 2x0 can come out of the block providing nothing is in the way. If you think you will require 2x45 instead of 2x0 for this then the price will increase slightly. Al found that the 4x45's were the way to go for mounting in front of radiator. But people can feel free to make up their own minds about what fittings they require and Toby will adjust the price accordingly. I think that the straight fittings will suit most people. But you should have a look at your own engine bay and decide.

In the supersprint I slowed down to wait for Emre to show him some lines, But as soon as I saw the WRX closing in on me instead of the chacoal monster. I knew it was time to boot it, cause I couldn't let a WRX beat me in the supersprint. I'm glad I went for it, cause that next lap was my best.

hmm I will check, but looked at level before last track session and was between low and max. Any other suggestions?

After giving my car a good solid 9/10th's weekend at Phillip Island. I have developed a problem I hoped someone could help with. Whenever the car is pushed onto boost above about .7bar the warning light in the dash comes on. I think this light is a general warning lamp. It's the Red Exclimation Mark. (Same one that comes on when hand brake is lifted.) I Discovered this on the drive home from the Island, but never saw it on the track all day. I get it now everytime I put my foot down. The light goes off when I drive normally for a bit, or if I turn the car off and start it again. Does anyone know the conditions that cause the general warning lamp to come on? My car is pretty stock; Stock ECU, Turbo back exhaust, Cam Gears and Sticky rubber. Running 1Bar of boost. By the way my max speed for the day was 250km/h and I did a PB of 1.51.55, It was great!

JAMES - Love your work man I thought we were going a little fast, but not much over 80%. I gues it was cause we were only on the track 16 hours before that session.

Emre's is the charcoal R33 GTR. Maybee it could use a wash and polish.

Semi comps are fine in the wet. Me and snowman had a great time in the rain turning into turn 1 at 200 km/h. On the road they sound like a plane is going to land on your car and I hate the way they hold onto every little bump, pothole, road angle and white line. The tramlining is terrible. It's hard to relax while driving your car with stickies on a shitty road.

People can pay Meridian directly, but please let me make sure we have 5 confirmed before attempting to make that payment. After last time I found it was best to record everyones details on a spreadsheet including exactly what their individual requirements are and get Toby to contact you when he requires the payment. Or if people feel more confident in getting me to handle the money for them, i'm happy to do this too.

No Probs Mate, Adz mounted his in the drivers side front bar. Al mounted his in front of his radiator as there was very large cooler pipes in the way. Both bought similar kits in that they were pushlock and 1.5m of hose. The only difference was Al went for 4x 45 degree fittings as we thought this would make fitting easier. Adz went with 2x 45 and 2x 90. (which is std kit) The 45 degree fittings are slightly more than the 90's and pushed the price up slightly. You can decide which fittings would suit you best, or we will recommend which ones you go for. Straight fittings are cheapest, then 90's, then 45's. Hope this helps

Another great weekend had by all. The drinking sessions slowed down my enthusiasm on the Sunday, but chopping HSV's was enuf to keep me pushing hard till the last lap. I loved the 5 lap super sprint's format for the last session of the day, and I must admit the HSV day was the best organisation i've seen at a club day yet. Even with the pits being renovated and a large field to contend with. Everyone in our field was good to chat to and encouraged a friendly, healthy compedative attitude towards the whole day. I personally feel I couldn't get more than another 1/4 of a second off my PB without changes to the car. I felt I pushed as hard as I could to keep up with Snowmans decreasing lap times. Well done mate! I just cant keep that corner speed while still running stock suspension. But enjoyed every second of it trying a few diff methods around the track.

RedLineGTR - You need to make these brackets up yourself, they are not part of the kit, as every car is slightly different. These cost me about $5.50 for steel and bolts. Can give advise on this if needed.

Ok, Anyone who is planning on having a meal at the house. There was no BBQ there, so I'm bringing one down that we can all use. So feel free to bring you BBQ stuff. Andrew - what time do you want to see me and Duncan tonight?
-
and so we can burn a few of them. Light it up out of the corner and still pull past them on the straight. I guess we will have to wait and see. Dont they do a super sprint at the end? Wont this mix up the field, because I think it's all based on your times throughout the day.

Ok have edited the original post to include information I have just figured out myself. These rims are actually 18x9 and 18x10's not 18x8 and 18x9's as originally posted. The offset is between + 48 to 50 mm all round. Still for sale, but a lot of interest was generated from the trading post ad. Will not drop price below $1300 for anyone on these forums. As I'm confident I could get $1400 from trading post.
