Furthur more to answer xfixiate in regards to the quality of both products. I cant say for sure that it is a better product than UAS's. I haven't seen the UAS one in person, but from looking at the pic on their web site I believe most parts are identical in both kits (except UAS pic was 16 row and Meridian is 19 row) I think you would find that most parts in both kits come from the same place. What I can say is that this kit has been proven again and again on all types of track cars here in eastern melbourne. Plus the setup on Andrews R34 provides results that are outstanding considering the load he puts the car under. I would say that at the end of the day you wont be disappointed. All the parts that come with the kit appear to be very well made and of the highest quality. I believe the price we negotiated is very good for the quality of the product.

Thanks for clearing that up xfixiate. I was staring to confuse myself too. Guys keep an eye on the very first post. This is where I am editing to show numbers and people who have paid. If your details are not there or are incorrect please PM me ASAP. Anyone who is ready to buy please let me know ASAP as at least three people are confirmed and waiting. I would like to make the 1st round buy this Friday or Sat if possible. Other payment methods include: Can be direct deposit into Meridian's account when we have five people, or you can give me your number and will call you when at Meridian to do credit card over the phone. Would prefer people deposit into my account to avoid confusion.

Roy - we should have entered... sounded like a whole lot of fun. Next year i'll be there. James - I love the comedy/ commentry on the photos. Andrew / Gerald - Great effort. Sorry I couldn't be there to support.
-
If anyone is unsure of where the cables are gonna run and how much they need, do a trial fit with some string or garden hose if avaliable (as will flex about the same) then measure it. In fact this would be a good idea anyway to confirm. I am going to be doing this with the GTR kit. But I don't own a GTS so...... yeah. The cooler can be mounted anywhere. So if you have a specific spot you would like it to go. Measure it and let us know.
-
Roy, I'll be there with bells on. I'm already pumped. I would prefer to go Friday night too. Have we gotten any furthur with securing ourselves a spot? I assume the Sat will be just rock up and pay on the day? Also assuming Sunday is a pre-booked day?

$1000 is way too low. These will go for more than that. I will find out offsets and post.

Freight will be $20 for eastern states, QLD, NSW (Assuming non rural areas) Darwin and Perth will have to cop up $50 Melbourne people can either pickup from Meridian or arrange with me for pickup/delivery. These are rough prices as each case will be individual. Because of location, size, weight etc. For now just add these prcies, if there is any change left over I can put this back into peoples accounts. maccattack - have changed post to include correct bsb and account. (I forgot the 06) Here it is again - 063245 0068 8564 Bepo - have asked Meridian about Supra's. Which use the same oil filter thread as skylines. This is a generic kit and only diff will be length of hose. We have prvisioned for the full kit to be mounted in the front bar passenger side which is 3.5m of hose. It may be best to take your car down to Meridian and ask, or you could use some string and do a dummy measure up to get the correct legths and let us know. Also your more than welcome to join in this group buy. xfixiate - from what i've seen and been told the oil pressure doesn't drop significantly. It might drop slightly, but not that you'll notice. Also may relate to oil type more than anything. The one thing that needs to happen on install is the cooler should be filled with oil manually (1st time only) and turn the car over until pressure comes up. Ronin09 - The 25 row cooler by itself is $477 instead of $321 and you will have to check if you can fit a height of 190mm (cooler) + 25mm (caps) + 20mm (fitting + hose) = 235mm
-
These oil cooler options will allways be avaliable to all SAU members/forum go-ers. We will wait until 5ppl are confirmed and then order to make the group discount applicable. However you can get just one at any time directly from Meridian. I am happy to handle this for as long as people require the coolers.

-
Are you gonna reply to me yet? I live close. I wanna come and look. Is this still for sale?
-
Will try to get pricing for shipping tomorrow so interstate people can deposit.
-
Ok. I'd like to start collections. Bank details as follows, use SAU nick as description. Comm Bank - MR Christopher. R. Thomson BSB#: 063245 Acc#: 0068 8564 Check the first post for the edit. I will keep this up to date. Once five people are paid coolers will be avaliable. Meridian has stock. I will take full responsibility for any money transfered and will keep corespondance with people throughout the transaction. If people change their mind I will refund all monies deposited, unless Meridian have been handed the money. I am making no profit from this group buy and have no affliation with Meridian other than being a good customer. If you feel uncomfortable with any of this PM me and we can set something up. I am more than happy to meet people in person.
-
Ok seems like we have plenty on interest on this one to go ahead with the first 5. The group buy will not close ever. Just wait till 5 people are confirmed then buy will occur. I want to get the first round going before PIRAC club day. Will post up my account details for people to deposit into then buy will go ahead. PM me if you have other ideas about payment methods. Otherwise I will handle the transactions.

Ok Q & A Time. GTT R34 - If you definately want a thermostat then organise this with Toby @ Meridian. I think it can be done, just requires two extra fittings and the in-line thermo. GTshorty - $825 will get you the cooler, braided lines, all fittings and remote filter. Will find out prices for shipping to Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane. Ferni - Fitting is not in this price, but can be negotiated with Meridian. They are expecting to fit a few for us, but would not give me an exact price for all members, because they havn't fitted one to a skyline before. Which is fair enough. But they do fit their coolers to all sorts of race cars and do have the experience to do the job. Installing the cooler is a simple job and I recommend everyone gives it a go. The GTST/GTT people can also use the remote filter if they wish, and can even mount it in the left side also to increase their oil volume. Like wise GTR people can have no remote fileter also. The kit is customizable and is a generic. Where things are mounted and where lines run are up to you.

Roy - I'll definatly be going. Check out this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...6231#post966231 Doing an oil cooler group buy. Might interest a few of you before hitting the track.

Sorry to hijack thread guys, but have been doing a lot of research on coolers and I believe this is a good quality and well priced item proven by SAU members and SAU members get a discount. Plus it is customizable. Check this thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...6231#post966231

Last weekend myself and AdzMax went down to Meridian Motorsport http://www.m-msport.com.au and negotiated an SAU discount for all you punters out there. The knowlegable blokes at Meridian are prepared to give 15% discount to any SAU member on a single buy (1x) or 20% discount on a group buy (5x +) All kits can come with either pushlock hose or braided lines. A 19 row sereck oil cooler and speedflow fittings (see pic) These are a generic kit and I assume will fit all model skylines. Only thing that may vary is the hose length. Oil Cooler Kit without remote filter (Pricing based on enough hose to mount in drivers side front bar. More suited to GTST or GTT) Blue Pushlock Hose: Retail $550, 15% $465, 20% $440 Braided Lines: Retail $650, 15% $555, 20% $520 Oil Cooler Kit with remote filter (Based on 3.5m of hose. Mounting in left side of bar. Suited to GTR) Blue Pushlock Hose: Retail $935, 15% $800, 20% $750 Braided Lines: Retail $1025, 15% $875, 20% $825 If the car is going to be/is modified & will be used on the track more than occasionally suggest owners go with the braided line as it is far stronger & the braid will cope with more abrasion. The blue stuff does the job fine thou. Just ask Snowman. This kit is on his R34 GTR and keeps the temps under 110 all day round the track. These kits can be easily installed yourself, but installation can be negotiated with Meridian if your not the handy type. I will be going down to Meridian on Friday or Sat morning to get the rest of my kit. --== EDIT ==-- SAU NICK...NAME...CAR...COOLER REQUIRED...PRICE...PAID 1. Nah they are definately the wrong off set for a 4WD vehicle, as the GTR requires a front wheel drive offset on the front and a RWD offset for the rear. These rims are designed for a GTST, and will fill the guards better on one. Also deep dish style rims appear to not fill the guards as much too.
-
These wheels all have these markings on them. They have an all jap writing sticker on the inside, but I can't find anything that says WORK. But they definately look exactly like the WORK rims in the 1st pic. VIA and JWL are world industry standards. See here http://www.enkei.co.jp/en/t_know_02.html Also has that number if that means anything to anyone.
-
Here are some pics of the rims after being polished. These are a two piece rim with the centre being chrome. These are the four centre caps that can be sold with the rims. Unfortunatly their is no natural light in these pics, so doesn't do them any good. Might be able to take better pics on the weekend if any1 is interested.
-
Here is a couple of pics of the rims before they were cleaned or polished. Not the best pics, but all I could find with them on my car. Remember my car is stock height at the moment, so doesn't look as shmick as it would on yours. The best way to see if they look good is to come over and we'll fit two of them on and see how they look. Ta, Chris
-
Interested in this, if still for sale. Can I come look at it on the weekend. I live in FTG. Ta, Chris.
