Got a handfull of people that have sent through pics to the email. But I need about 10x that about in the next couple of weeks. Get busy guys. It's a club calendar! Anyone got any good crashes this year? At a track or otherwise? Eveyone loves a good stack pic.
-
Yep - I definatly want those tail lights. If we can build those in, it would be tops. Where can I pickup from? Hang on to silhouette rims for now. I think I would prefer to get some 17" onto it. So might have to do the conversion.

Yep - shopping list - I like. Haha a big cannon hanging out the back of a trailer would be funny. I think it can be done. Flame thrower out the cannon perhaps Anyone got a stupid cannon sitting around in the backyard?

Yeah I wont be there unfortunatly. Which is a real shame cause I was looking forward to feeding fysie some grass. Hang onto it. I'll get it off you sometime. Bring it to next Sau meeting. -
Cool - Well looks like rims aren't going to be a problem. I can 2k paint those rims azza. Got any pics of them by any chance? I assume they are 5x114.3 stud patter to suit skylines? Do-Luck - Yeah man have a chat to JB. See if they can help us out. If not no biggie, but worth a shot. Keep the idea coming guys.

Last year as part of his support of SAU-Vic, Provex aka John aka “Gadg” aka “The Vag” built us a custom BBQ Trailer. We thank John for his time and efforts as this trailer is a great base to build on. www.provex.net.au But the project is far from complete and needs to be revived. At the moment the trailer will store the collection of 30 witches hats, 2x Fire extinguishers, A first aid box, The BBQ boxes, The club marquee and anything else the club buys to use at events. Here is a quick list of ideas I have for the trailer: 1. Paint it bright candy pink and add frangipani stickers – Sydney style. j/k – But a nice bright metallic colour might be the go. 2. Deck it out with some car stereo gear. 3. Create a battery system that can charge from the tow vehicle or get it’s charge from rotation of the axle. 4. Needs some rims. 5. Some form of racking / storage inside. 6. It needs some covering for the hotplate. 7. We need somewhere to keep drinks cold. 8. It could use R31 stove top tail lights which would suit the brick shape / square top shape. 9. Also I guess we need to get it registered and insured. So at this stage were looking for donations of: Stereo equipment A pair of rims and tyres (4x114.3 – Early Nissan, N/A Stuff) We may look to change this to 5x114.3 so we can use Skyline rims R31 stove top tail lights. Also if you have any more suggestions, post ‘em up.

Deca is not meant to be an exclusive event. Deca has existed to get people into the cluba and involved with the club. Deca has always been a under a multi-club motorkhana insurance, therefore anyone from any club can enter. The event is run by the club however and we do try to look after our own members as much as possible. See here for general DECA info: About DECA The November DECA has not yet been posted, therefore we are not yet accepting entries. The event should be opened in about one weeks time.

Get your car in the club calendar! Last year the club did a run of wall calendars for the 2008 calendar year. See here: 2008 Calendar Proof To be honest we didn’t realise how much work was involved in getting this off the ground originally, and the calendar was late produced late in the year and we didn’t get the response we had hoped for. This year I’m prepared to throw some more time at it and see how we go. But I feel I’m going to need more help from members in finding good photo’s. With last years production I had access to three years of peoples club photo’s, so there was more of a base and more events past to choose from. And to be honest Joel and Sarah submitted most of the images. This yeah however I know a lot of people have gone and gotten digital SLR’s. So lets see ‘em. So go through your photos and pick out your best images. To submit photo’s please email to [email protected] Please read the following prior to submitting any images: 1. You must have permission from the photographer to use the image. 2. Please send the full name of the photographer with the image. 3. The car photographed must belong to a current member of SAU-Vic. 4. The photo must be in a reasonably high resolution. (So send me the original, not the resized image.) The final images used in the production run will be at the discretion of the SAU-Vic committee.

I can't believe I have to pull out of this event! So pissed off. Just realised I have a bucks party on that day which I have already paid for. I'm going to find another day to go there I think. I've been looking forward to this all year. Also - Ryan, the driver of the Nissan Slightly - GTR's eat slightly's (and grass) for breakfast. -

Ryan says: "Gtr's eat grass" and something something "enter you pussy". So I will. -
Yeah I still think the theory we had is sound. More $$ to enter, but much more track time and more events (longer events). Plus a 20 odd crowd for tea and shinaddigins will be just as fun.
-
Perhaps then we can look at it again next year and call it "DECA intermediate, with a side serve of fun" But because the events on the back track are faster and IMO more dangerous to the inexperienced we still don't want people to make that event their fist trip to DECA. So we would still need some prerequisites. If you take the time to look at the event schedule you will see that the events are super cool.

I made a phone call today to the hotel and advised that all Skylines Australia bookings we will be getting cancelled. If you made a booking please call the hotel to cancel. Thanks.

Yeah I think a few people have got the wrong idea about DECA Masters. It would have been more fun than a "normal" DECA, because the events are longer to suit the lower numbers and give you more driving which = more fun. Perhaps we should have called it DECA FUN instead of DECA MASTERS. I know I was going there with the intent to hang it out and enjoy this DECA rather than compete with anyone.

Email was sent out to all members addresses in the SAU-Vic database on 28/8/08 5:36pm. Went something like this: Dear Member, We would like to make you aware that entries are now open for our MiColour DECA “Masters” event held on Saturday 20th September 2008 in Shepparton. Please take the time to refer to the event schedule here: http://sau.ferni.net/DECA/0805_May08/DECA%...%20Schedule.pdf As you will see this event adds a whole new level to our DECA events. The skidpan sub-events require a fine touch and put new meaning to the word motorkhana. The back track events (Mini-Wang and Long-Wang) are much longer and faster than before and they WILL blow your socks off. As you can see we will be doing two full laps of the Long-Wang, and the Mini-Wang in reverse is quite possibly the most fun event we have ever done. The entries will be limited to 20, which will give each entrant far more track time than ever before, but to compensate the price had to be raised to $200. However entries so far for this event have been low and we will need to consider cancelling the event if we don’t see a few more by next mid next week. If you’re concerned about if you qualify for this event, don’t be. Feel free to contact myself Chris (Scotsman) or Andrew (Snowman) via PM on the forums if you wish to discuss. Most entries will be accepted. Happy Birthday to everyone....

Yeah they used a fair bit of last years footage. Dutton VIC is always jam packed with EVO's. But were slowly converting them over one win at a time!
