  1. I have a r34 GTT stock cat back exhaust and stock cat. If your interested PM me, am in perth. Thanks.
  2. Hi guys, I have searched the forums for a while now but cant find what im after. Where is a good place to get an exedy clutch kit, i cant find them on just jap. Am in Perth, Not chasing huge amounts of power but have upped the boost a little so i have been recomended a heavy duty. Dont want to spend a lot, i hear of the exedy heavy duty organic, but dont know where to get one. Thanks.
  3. Yeah the stock blow off valve is on.
  4. Thanks for all the replies guys. Although you have all given me upsetting news lol. How much is it roughly to install a new clutch?? Im in Perth, probably buy one off just jap.
  5. Yep that was me. Whats the deal with avoiding that????
  6. well thats a bugger. as its the stock clutch in there.
  7. didnt want to admit it but i had to explain it the best i could haha. I seriously hope its not my clutch. My foot was fully off it though, i dont understand???
  8. Hi guys. Was at a party last night and when i left, my mate told me to smoke it up a bit....so i did. Revved till about 3-4 then dropped the clutch. Went up and hit the limiter and moved forward about 30 metres. Didnt feel right so i reversed back and asked my mate if my wheels spun at all, and they didnt. Got a rank smell in the car which was there for about 15 minutes. Wasnt tires or brakes, hadnt come across this smell before. when i got home, i lifted the bonnet but there was no smell from there. Went around to the tires and the back passenger side stunk of this smell. Im not sure if its my clutch, as it was fully disengaged when i "tried" to smoke it up. Any ideas what it is or what it could be?? Not sure if i should be worried. Thanks guys.
  9. Is there any power to the car at all?? Headlights, horn etc.i have an r34 GTT and it used to have no power whatsoever on some occasions. headlight, interior lights, couldnt even use the central locking, like there was no battery. Took me a while to figure out what was going on, as i had put neons underneath and only happened after they had been installed. i rang my mate who helped with the installation and he said disconect them. so i did and it fixed the problem. But what it was is when i touched the battery terminal it earthed through me i guess and then started no probs. So u may have a faulty earth. lift the bonnet and touch both terminals of your battery and see if that helps.
  10. Hi guys, i received my turbotech boost control today, didnt take long to install. Every time i accelerate, it spikes up to about 16psi and then comes back down to about 8psi, which is what i wanted it at, about 8. I only have a stock turbo and if it does this a few more times. it will blow for sure. How many times can it spike like this before it will blow?? Question is, do i have a faulty control?? If not, how did you guys overcome this spiking?? What do i need to do to stop this?? Get it adjusted my someone professional??
  11. Hi guys, ive searched the forums but cant find a lot of info of the instalation of these controllers. Can someone explain where it goes or has some pics of putting it in Thanks a lot.
  12. Intake is only a apexi power intake pod filter, cant personally see a lot of air getting through it. Great filter but very resrtictive on the air flow getting through, its like a piece of cardboard.
  13. Ive got a high flow cat and he has the standard one.
  14. What bolt are we talking about here?? and shouldnt it be pulling more boost automatically with the mods??
  15. Will that automatically adjust the psi??, because id say my mates is up around 7-8 quite easily. and im the one with mods.
  16. This stays at 5 right up to red line??
  17. Hi all. I drive an r34 GTT, quite stock except of a 3 inch turbo back exhaust, brand new coilpacks, and a apexi power intake pod filter. Doing this i have not gained any extra boost what so ever, i have an aftermarket boost gauge and it stayed the exact same as when the car was stock, thinking it would creep up with each little mod. Its kind of like its been set to that setting, which is approx 5.6 psi and is getting stopped at that. A good friend of mine has the exact same car, except a year older but has a very noticeable difference in power. He has factory coilpacks, factory exhaust but a HKS pod. He is pulling a lot more boost and is really really noticable when driving. Neither of us have touched the turbos or even have boost controllers. Any ideas why this is, if anything i should have quite a bit more power than him but its the other way around. Have they come out of the factory with different boost settings?? Are the pods making a difference?? We took his off and you can see light through it and is very thin, mine on the other hand is really compact and a bit like carboard looking. Appreciate any help guys. Thanks
  18. Yeah thats not really a lot, perhaps and hopefully you got a dodgy one and replacing it will fix it. Best of luck.
  19. I might have to get under and have a look around. Appreciate all your help mate.
  20. Far out, my car (34 GTT) also has an rb25detneo and is beginning to get quite a noticable missfire, i am getting some new coilpacks next week as it still has factory ones in there. I hope i dont have the same problem, the 1st thing i would have checked would have definately been the coilpacks but you said you have just done that. Perhaps the fuel pump/filter could do with replacing??
  21. Drain the block...by taking out the drain plug from the block?? if so where is that, everybody talks about it but i cant find anywhere that shows a pic of it or anything?? Do i have to take parts out to get to this plug?? Thanks for all your help mate.
  22. Drain the block...by taking out the drain plug from the block?? if so where is that, everybody talks about it but i cant find anywhere that shows a pic of it or anything?? Do i have to take parts out to get to this plug?? Thanks for all your help mate.
  23. Will that completely drain out the block like the drain plug would?
  24. So turn on the car, have the heater on for a while until it gets hot, turn car off, drain radiator and engine bock, fill with water, bleed air out. Run the car up again with heater on, drain the radiator and block again, bleed again, then fill with coolant while the car is runing with heater on?? Thats it corect? Thanks for your help mate.
  25. Hi guys. I have been reading that there is a drain plug on the block which you can use to get rid of all the coolant from the block. Does anybody have any pics of this plug or can you explain to me where it is?? I drained the radiator, took the hoses off it and put compressed air through the block, all up we only replaced 5 litres of coolant and thats including the resorvoir tank, i have read that the r34GTT takes about 8-9 litres so theres still 4 litres of coolant somewhere which i cant get out??? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
