  1. Id rather the Bee-R kit too but lack of 6 grand for body mods has pulled that up pretty fast. Im not too sure what the Gtt wing would look like and Im having a hard time finding one. If it doesnt look 'stockish' than it wont happen, but I have a feeling it will flow with the body and not be too big on the 32
  2. Its nice (apart from being so far forward) but its the GTR wing, im chasing the GTT and am yet to come across one fitted to a R32. Also searching for Roys car is proving annoying, he posts alot lol.
  3. Ah another sick looking 5 spoke to put onto my list lol ATM I'm looking at the ever popular R33 GTR rims, I dont want anything over 17 inch and as far as I know they fit in perfect without any clearance issues, Not sure of the exact offset of them, Ive read a heap of differnt numbers from +22 to +30
  4. thanks man, is that the daily run tune or the result just for the dyno run? Also love the Drift Teks in the siggy (at least I think they are drift teks), then again they could be Rota P45R's or something else I cant think of. What the offset on them? They look very nice like that. (Sorry for al the questions guys, just trying to get as much info on everything before I start laying down more cash)
  5. Thankts Kwyjibo, seems like a very good result from reading the RB20 Turbo thread. Hows the cooling pro FMIC treating you? and would you happen to know what the duty cycle of the GTR injectors were on that run.
  6. Just looking to get a little feed back on a semi planned cosmetic mod for my R32 Gtst. I'm trying to keep any and all style mods looking as close to a factory look as possible but in the same time complementing the good looks of the R32. I have thought of it for a while and ever time I lay my eyes on a R34 GTT the question keeps coming back up. Would a R34 GTT wing look any good on a R32? Trying my hardest to stay clear of the somewhat ricey big GT wings that have no use on a street car. BUT as the same time I do love the look of the R34 GTT wing. Nice and smooth without being overly huge and standing out like dogs ****s. So Yay or Nay.
  7. If there is no staining you are fine.
  8. Exactly the same bolt as mine....wonder if this happens often with the RB20's. Whats your build date? I havent had any problems but I am running standard PSI. If there was a leak the block would be a mark around that bolt area sort of brownish or just generaly dark area.
  9. What bolt is it? as in close to the front or back? And also what boost are you running? Just wondering because I have the same problem with the bolt closest to the firewall and have to problems at all...bastard to change too.
  10. Any chance of a bit of a write up on what you currently have done to your baby? (like another import owner needs an excuse to give a detailed list of mods )
  11. Thats how I feel man and I've only had my baby for 2 years, I dont see what I would want other than the 32, Timeless style, a impressive heritage behind them and you cant beat the sound of the RB's screaming onto boost.
  12. Thats for the extra info and pictures Chuckie, very clean install btw.
  13. For the power Im chasing I doubt I would see any difference between ARC or Blitz, or even a cheap Cooling Pro FMIC at these levels. ARC do make brillant products but they are still very pricey, not too fond of paying big just for a name...other than the ARC Airbox. More than happy to fork out the 400 bucks for one of them. On a side note, anyone know off hand if QLD comes under the same sort of rulings for intake mods as Vic? currently have a pod filter with a custom heat sheild made up.
  14. Whats the saying? 'once you go black you never go back' lol Im not worried about going back, Black R32 on Black rims. Keeping as low profile in the crowd as possible, not that the Bright red stove tops dont give it away every single time at night. Plus what it more sexy than a blacked out skyline?
  15. Would rather shave the front bar than anthing else. Looks really nice though, pretty much what im looking for, even though the FMIC will be blacked out before it goes in <3 Sleepers.
  16. Spent alot of time in many other cars, some faster some than handle better but I would still prefer my R32, Had a hold of a 430rwhp 2005 BS XR8 for 2 months but still loved the R32 more. Even though the Xr8 was much faster and a better ride. But as far as owning cars goes...the R32 is it. I have a Yamaha R6 but thats just silly fast after the build. Some people have lambos and Zondas as their 'dream' car. Mine is the R32 Skyline.
  17. Could never in my life own a Commodore, the R32 Gtst was the first car I ever bought and will be the last car I ever own. I would not even notice giving up 1000rpm to lag as it starts pulling hard from about 2300 with the current standard turbo, and as you said, 4 grand to the limit is where the fun starts. I would rather the car have more than what I will be using just not to really stress any part of the chain of parts, so say if my final power figure is 300hp I want the parts capable of doing 350hp, just so everything isnt stressed or running at its limits. I'm not chasing punch in the face power when I put my foot down but more of a user friendly power curve. I would love to go the Mines route of builds i.e not excessive power but the tune and the general setup and and parts used make for a very quick responsive ride.
  18. I am leaning towards keeping the RB20 purely based on im not looking for huge power and the only times I would really be needing it would be stuffing about on track or drift days. I don't mind about the lack of real power on the street as I am more than happy with sticking to the speed limit and not giving my license to a cop. Also waiting for spool isnt really a problem now as being the standard turbo it comes on at nothing, but once the new turbo finds it way home I doubt I will really mind, not into going fast on the street anymore. been there done that got the ticket. Just like driving my piece of history. I've been in a R33 pushing around 240kw and was pleased with how quick the power came on, but Im yet to find a RB20 of the same sort of power.
  19. Not having a more direct air flow would make a difference but it wouldnt be big eough to really notice unless it was a very hot day and you were flogging it.
  20. Thanks heaps for all the replies guys, just the sort of feed back I was looking for. Also for the ARC side mount, what sort of power would they be able to handle and not really hit its limits? Trying too make sure all the supporting mods are capable of handling much more than what I want to get out of the engine. Chasing around 300rwhp with as much response as possible. EDIT - Holy hell just had a quick search for the ARC SMIC for a HCR32 just under $1200, think I'll be sticking with the Blitz at a much more pocket friendly $780
  21. Not worried about power since I know that beautiful Blitz would flow more than what a RB20 would ever make, just trying to find out info about them from anyone who has one. Response is all Im after at the end of the day, and Im leaning towards the Blitz ATM due to the fact its only $780 and its Blitz so you know its quality. Or a HPI kit of the same style.
  22. Just wondering if anyone has a say on the Return Flow type FMIC that are popping up all over the place? I have been searching around for a decent sized FMIC without going over the top and these have caught my eye due to the fact of no need to cut my REO bar or any other nasty holes in my baby. Only problems I can see with them at a glance is the fact the return pipe sits VERY low and that nasty bend they often have towards the end of the return pipe. And possibly the sharp change of direction for the air to have to go back towards the turbo. Just incase I didnt explain it well enough heres a pic of the kit im interested in. Anyone got some more info on these?
  23. No problem Aaron, while your idea was a silly one and a very silly one at that it is thinking outside the box. But may I suggest staying well inside the box in the future.
  24. Exactly like the picture.
  25. Pineapples, caster, camber bushes and swaybars are a given, just the coil overs being a bigger ticket item is why I said anything about them. As for the RB20 turbo thread ive been reading through all of the pages getting an idea on what sort of mods make what sort of power along with things like injector sizes and fuel pumps. 300hp is just a number, its a decent amount over standard but not too much that its getting into needing complete forging. Plus with what I have seen as far as big numbers from RB20's I've been hard pressed finding many past 400hp. Most are about 300 so im guessing thats a safe number to have coming from them. I am somewhat interested in 1/4 mile times, but mainly to find out what sort of times they pull with that kind of power, bit of a long story with a drag coming up between a few mates in a few years time, loser must buy a van...I dont like vans.
