  1. Thats great Dan! Make sure to have it firmly attached, so we have accurate enough results
  2. Thanks Briggs and missr34 for the extra info
  3. Thanks Terry, I might just do that, maybe when I finally get my membership with SAU and come to some events, i'll let ya know?
  4. Hey, Having just got my skyline recently, I've been looking for some books about the car such as the owners manual, service manuals and any other booklets that are available, I don't know what kind of things are out there, maybe a parts catalog or something. I was wondering if anyone knows of any places that sell these things? My grandfather used to know a place that specialized in the sale of them, but apparently the place has closed down or moved, so im clueless as to how I can come across some. I have a Nissan Skyline R34 25GT Sedan Manual, Is that generic to any R34 manuals? Or is there specific books for just that model? Thanks for any information
  5. Im running an ER34 4 door 25GT, its an RB25DE, Are these the right filters for that car? I tried putting the part numbers and the nissan numbers you put up into google and I couldn't get any results, I just got the car too and haven't got any service manuals or any paperwork to help me figure out what those numbers mean either.
  6. Thanks for the info shotgun, I think i'll go for the screw down of the fibreglass option. That cheap huh? Maybe I will go for the fibreglass thing if I come across one...
  7. Thanks for the info on card sizes changing over history, and thanks Blind elk for the history of Mitsubishi, never knew thats what it stood for
  8. damn those technological bastards
  9. Your probably right about that... But do you think they eliminated the card system? I mean, considering its a card, it does have a limit to how small it can be.
  10. Thats junk, imported cars are just like Australian cars, as far as I know, the compliance makes them just as "up to high standard" as the Australian delivered models, or am I incorrect and compliancing is just junk? I cant wait to hear from the importers on the forum about this, especially the chef =P
  11. oh wow, thats pretty cool... not as compact as our E-Tag system, but it does have a more James Bond feel to it doesn't it? Thanks for all the help Nic, and thanks jrm for the confirmation. Legends
  12. Hey, interested in the spoiler got pics?
  13. Is the wing still for sale? Would it fit to a 25GT?
  14. 3 and 4 are both from Mitsubishi, which confuses me a lot being in a Skyline Its mounted just to the right of the had unit under the steering wheel, to the left of where your leg is sitting toward the clutch. It has a card slot and the little diagram is directions on how to insert the card. The theories ive heard about it are that it is a tuner shop details card (but the car is stock), its a credit card swiper (and it might have been a taxi in japan) or that its like one of those cars that can be rented and they have cards to start and time your use. Im not really sure what it is, but its weird to me that it has mitsubishi written on it
  15. Hey, I know it seems like I post a lot of pretty basic questions up, but I wasnt a car enthusiast all my life and I missed out on a lot of beginners stuff that most people already know, and I think its better to ask stupid questions than continue on assumed knowledge or no knowledge. Anyway, Ive attached some photos of stickers and parts on my car that I don't know what they are or what they mean, any information would be helpful.
  16. I want grip mainly, and I do ask these questions to get answers for both daily drive and track performance, because I drive it as my daily driver but also want to get into track soon.
  17. Hey, Im looking at getting a spoiler for my 2000 R34 25GT, it currently has a little lip on the back which has a brake light wired to it, so I wanna leave that on and add a nice wing. I would prefer a stock spoiler, I thnk its the same as the GT-T wing, but I think it doesn't fit on with the lip, any info about that would be helpful. Any wings you guys are looking at selling and have a reasonable price for (thats why im looking at stock, its generally not too expensive) I will be happy to look at, and if it looks alright and fits with the lip, i'll be more than interested. Ive attached a photo of my current lip, so you know what I mean.
  18. AWD dynos also work with rear drive vehicles i assume? How long is the day and what time would I have to turn up? Im not a morning person Can only SAU members go? I have some mates that wanna turn up and im also not an official member.
  19. Thanks heaps switchlanez. Thats loads of useful information you packed into that response, im looking at bringing the car to one of the dyno days here in sydney so I can get some proper info to base things on.
  20. Thanks Beenar, That helps, does anyone else agree with/heard of the 10% theory?
  21. Hey mate, do you have any photos of the spoiler? Thanks
  22. Welcome Your 34 looks exactly like mine, except that mines the 4 door and has a lip on the back. Looks really clean and in good condition
  23. Thanks for the detailed explanation Bubba. Thank you all for listing what your running on certain profiles, it helps me get a good idea on the averages
  24. Welcome to the forum Aron. You did post this in the wrong section as there is an introduction section in the wasteland, im sure it will be moved by a mod or admin soon enough. Enjoy the forum, hope to see some nice photos of your ride asap.
