  1. ofcourse it was on a sanctioned racetrack... one that you just decided to stop on and do a run while you were driving right?
  2. Hey guys, is there anything happening Friday? I finally have some free time and im wondering if anyone knows of any cruises/meet ups or anything that are going down?
  3. wow, that thing was truly a beautiful machine... it really did look like a dodgy mod job when I saw it on the M5, real shame... Well, now we have a list of whats in the car, so bad driving?
  4. Sapphire, you have a point with the thieves thing, although im not too worried about that... Thanks for the idea about the bracket
  5. Alright, thanks for all the info guys, especially Franga for really answering the question and providing some info thats related =P
  6. Any chance you've got some photos of the car, outside and in? That could help with deciding if exterior parts match colour-wise and such, also, does it have a wing?
  7. How many of you have used this app before? is it accurate enough or is it just that its accurate enough for its price? How much of a difference does it make if you enter the wrong weight into it? Since it wants you to account for luggage, petrol and passengers i doubt I could be spot on. Do you have to keep going until you hit a certain speed for it to work? If I just took it from 0-100 on a country road would that give me the readings? Any information about it would be helpful, I want to be able to take these figures as not off by much and use this app to compare some of my mates cars with mine.
  8. If he was keeping it conservative, would he really have wanted to go for it? Wouldn't that give people the impression his car is crap? lol for disguised with recorded sounds haha
  9. Yeah, I'm gonna put it down as a really badly maintained engine and a crap driver.
  10. Sounds like a great idea shotgun, I guess with that idea i could just remove it for track use. Arthur, your idea does sound like a more permanent one though, But isn't it risky to be drilling into the floor of the boot? I've heard a few horror stories of fuel tanks and other mishaps being cut into.
  11. sneakey, I don't think its fake, but i cant rule it out... scotty, I know your not being a jerk, nothing you've said has been offensive to me. Your clutch slipping theory seems to have some good grounds to explain things though.
  12. I didn't hear or see any misfiring, but clutch slip is possible i suppose
  13. Hey guys, I recently got myself a full Alpine R series system installed, and the sub box is just sitting in the boot with some extended cord to allow for some movement, but i've already had it disconnect 3 times while im driving or when I take a corner I can hear it tip over, even if I try to drive it smoothly. Its an R34 25GT Sedan standard rear, where is a place I can mount it? Also, how would you go about mounting it? I want to make sure its mounted well enough to be accepted for track use. How much would it cost for me to have a fibre glass set up made? I can only imagine it wouldn't be worth the price, so im hoping for a cheaper alternative that will make it pass scrutineering at a track. Thanks for any help
  14. mobil one oil? What does my oil have to do with it? I use Penrite 10W 50. franga, yeah that was what I was thinking, because it didn't sound too healthy
  15. Guaranteed it was a turbo, I could hear the spooling and the gauge through his window
  16. Hey, I was on the M5 the other night at around 1am and there was a fully modded R34 GT-T on the road, it had an auto salon 07 finalist sticker on it and its an orange colour with a black GT style wing on it. Anyway, as I pulled up next to it in my N/A R34 GT25 it took off and then slowed down again, as I pulled up to it again he brought down his window, so I did too and he asked me to go for it. I thought this would be a good chance to find out just how much slower an N/A is compared to the turbo model and when we went for it, I flew past with no trouble at all... When we slowed down again, he seemed pretty pissed off and wanted to keep going at it, so we spent a bit of time going at it and everytime, I seemed to fly past easily keeping it no nigher than 5k RPM, eventually I decided to wait till his turbo spooled up before I took off and once again there was no trouble at all... Is it really possible that a twin turbo charged car can be SO badly maintained that my car can easily beat it? Does anyone here know the car and perhaps know of its service history, or lack of? Im quite interested as its starting to turn me off the idea of a turbo, even though ive driven another turbo when I was on my L's and it felt a lot faster and responsive compared to what his driving was, is it maybe just his driving style? I attached some photos of the night my passenger took
  17. ER34-201054 Greatly appreciated
  18. Yeah, I used to play this years ago when it was still called Nitto 1320... at that time there were plenty of cheat engines available
  19. Hey ER34-201054 Thanks for any info guys
  20. Thanks heaps CS student & Birds. That helps a lot, i'll try em at 36 and see what results I get.
  21. I agree with Nic for the position, Ive only been on here for a short time, yet it seems like he's noticed a lot of my posts and threads and made me feel pretty welcome.
  22. My suggestions would be to get a wider range of SAU stickers available and in bigger and varying sizes. Also, I was wondering if there are any copyrights to using SAU in having some of my own graphics made up once im a member? I was particularly interested in getting a graphic of the exact emblem in the top left of this site made up to put somewhere on my R34, perhaps like a badge size and have it somewhere on the rear, would that be cool? Once i become a member ofcourse that is
  23. The mystery case is open again... LOL Will we ever discover the origins of the Holden Monaro Test car at Pickles auction? Or will the mystery go unknown once it is auctioned off? Stay Tuned! on SAU!
  24. The mystery is solved No point in my looking at it now then
  25. they're just the stock tyres, so im gonna assume the figures that cancer gave were right under that assumption?
