  2. My guess would be it wont be on foxtel... probably one of those things you will never see unless you hunt for it, sort of like wangan midnight or ex driver was.
  3. I used to get that same problem with my Ford Laser, did some tampering with the idle and when i lowered it it somehow fixed it, one of those things that doesn't make logical sense but works... Ofcourse, that was a car that was manual out of the factory, so it could have been a completely different issue to what your experiencing, it sounds like your on the right track by assuming its a tuning issue due to the conversion.
  4. It looks to me like one of those little hidden compartments you find under the steering wheel area, I had one just like it on my Ford Laser that always came out, but I don't see anything that resembles it in my R34
  5. Im surprised nobody has a love for the GTR blue colour... I absolutely love it, but I have to admit that black is my first choice for absolutely any car, which i find it rare, a colour that suits anything.

I can see a lot of errors happening with this, it reminds me of the stories I heard about when pop up head lights were introduced and there were lots of electric faults where they didn't come up, making the car illegal to drive at night. I can see there being electric issues in these doors, making it impossible to get into.
  7. hey, Im looking at upgrading the stock system in my R34, I want to get a double din so it fits in nicely as a nice and easy replacement to the stock unit. I want it to have front USB and some connectivity to the Iphone, whether its a dock or just the ability to use the cable and sit it in the cup holder. I want good quality audio aswell obviously, and want something cheap enough, no more than $600 I plan to further upgrade by amplifying the stock system and putting in a sub. Any advice on a good head unit to match my needs? Also, ideas for the good sub and amp set up would be nice
  8. Thanks for all the mod suggestions guys, Keep em up, Im happy to get suggestions given to me. Does anybody know where I can get a GTR stock wing? That would fit onto it well wouldn't it? Also, any suggestions on a bodykit that would match the sideskirt? though, I was hoping not to lower it so much that I need to do 10kms down bumpy roads I was going to head to that Thursday cruise tonight, but i've got a family dinner I need to attend, I WILL however be joining in on one of those as soon as I get a free Thursday

  10. nic, It is completely standard aside from the side skirt that the dealer decided to put on for some reason, probably just to give it a sportier feel =P I plan to do the audio as soon as I get the money together, other than that I want to keep it mainly stock unless the mod bug bites me and I get an urge to do something to it. iseekool, Its Manual, I wouldn't dream of putting my hard earned cash into an auto sports car, even if it is a sedan four door. I actually like the factory rims, i've never really been one for rims, which i see as a good money saver =) I do plan on putting a darker tint on it, any recommendations on a good place near sydney? The audio is a definite, Im gonna get a decent double din and sub, and im tossing up whether or not to run an amp to the stock speakers to boost them up a bit, any pointers? Exhaust is a usual definite, but i've decided to wait until I have spare cash laying around and I dont wanna put it anywhere else, then I'll do it, keep my police attention minimal, so they wont have the camera lined up when im coming from the other side of the hill =P Thanks for the service information, that is the most helpful thing i've heard, I knew about the timing belt, but the coilpacks is news to me, thank for that

Thanks for all the information, looks like i will be getting myself a L2S then, and i'll also check out Wakefield Park about those beginners days, thank a lot for the information guys =) Also, is there any testing or anything else in order to get a CAMS license? Because I thought it was like a course thing where you were tested afterward, it seems a little dangerous to just be handing out these licenses to speed isnt it? I was also looking forward to being properly taught how to take high speed corners and such

  13. Hey, So I finally got my Skyline that I was waiting so long for and I wanted to share it with you guys. I plan on joining the NSW branch of SAU and I wanna come meet up with you guys so I can learn more about my car and learn about alll the features and best tweaks for it. Pictures below:
  14. Hey, Im 18 and getting myself a skyline soon, I was supposed to get it earlier but they f**ked up the compliance paper work and now they delayed the arrival... So, I was thinking, being young as I am i should make sure to do all my speeding on a track, but I don't have a cams license so im not sure what i am and am not, allowed to do. What can u do without a CAMS license on tracks such as eastern Creek? And what would I have to do to get a CAMS license? I hear that the L2S is the most common and required CAMS license, is that right? What does this allow me to do? Is SAU an CAMS affilicated club? Please dont link me to the CAMS website, Ive looked there but i know personal experience from club members will be much easier to understand and more relevant to my actual application of the license.
  15. I've been thinking of what plate to use for the last few weeks... and everytime I come up with something it just doesn't seem to look good enough to pay extra for... BTW, the plate I want "PYR034" was taken, its a NSW plate, does anybody know the owner? I was hoping to buy it, my nickname has been Pyro for a good few years now and im purchasing an R34, wanted that plate badly...
  16. I had taken one for a test drive and found it was okay, I like the car even if its not as fast as the turbo version. So by around the same price, what price is that?

I see what you mean silver, but they do have some very good quality cars, in great condition at Nagoya Motors, I've seen a whole bunch as i've been flying in and out of the place over the last year while I was looking for a good R34. I've also heard around the forum people saying, base your purchase on condition, not KM's, so even if the KM's arent as low as stated, im pretty sure they aren't far off, or have been maintained very well. All P platers looking for a skyline should take a look at their online showroom, I wont post up a link cause im not too sure about the rules on external linking on SAU, And im not advertising, I REALLY dont have any association with Nagoya Motors other than as a customer =P
  21. If you want to find some around that price with even lower Km's you should keep an eye on Nagoya Motors, that is if your in the Sydney area. I recently placed a deposit on a skyline just like yours with 91,800KM's on the clock, and it was only $12,900. They are constantly importing P plate legal R34's and the ones at the $14,900 mark generally have closer to 50,000KM's on them. From what I hear around this site, Nagoya Motors is generally trusted as not rewinding odometers, anyone who thinks otherwise let me know.
  22. Well, I test drove one the other day and I certainly enjoyed the power it had to offer, compared to the 180sx ive driven and a celica, this was certainly more powerful as far as I felt. I put down a deposit on one that I was lucky enough to get for only $12,000, it has a few more KM's on it (still low at 90,000), but hell, the lower ones are probably wound back anyway =P
  23. Well, Its just that I don't want to wait that long because the car I have at the moment is starting to get to its brinks... I wanna sell it before it does eventually ruin from my driving style... I don't like the idea of buying a shitbox and having to spend all this money fixing it up and then putting on road costs on top of it, just to have it amount to something close to the R34... Also, I could always add a turbo in later if i decide so... and this car seems like it would pass for a family car aswell, so its a relatively nice car that also appeals to all the sensible adults that normally look at a 180sx and think 'Such a typical hoon'
  24. Luciano: Yeah, I couldn't imagine why anyone would want an N/A if they could buy a turbo. KezR33: Yeah, its manual, but its also the cheapest I can find anywhere... private or dealer... If anyone knows where to get a cheaper R34 four door with manual gearbox under 100,000kms on it, let me know
