  1. Do R34 GTR's and JZA 80 TT supra's run the same gearbox or do they have different ratios?

  3. I recently paid an exhaust $60 to open up the turbo flange on both manifolds (I think this is what your after). A lot of people have done this themselves with the right tools / grinding bits (I am pretty sure theres a tutorial or thread someone created showing what they did. Either way at least open up the flange so it matches the flange opening on the turbo.
  4. What model GTR were the screamer pipes on, or would they suit any model?

  8. These are an interesting piece of the early gtr modification scene. Do the turbos defineateley sit top mount or do the tuck under the manifolds and twin external wastegates would sit up top? I dunno just guessing. Interesting none the less! G/L with sale.
  9. Thanks everyone, I have spotted a genuine set. Just know there are mixed opinions about these pipes. The only reason I am considering is because the price is not much more than tomei dumps.
  10. So use r33 sensors? But then these have to be bent to clear some other pipework or cabling don't they? Maybe I should just go the Tomei's. I already have a good aftermarket front pipe but I don't the its as wide as the tomei outlet.
  11. Hi all Can I use r34 trust extension dump pipes on r32gtr? Is it just a matter of using r33 oxygen sensors?
  12. I've done all the stage one including injectors, and have most stage 2 stuff now. Beer Baron, what AFM would you use? Any point is considering Z32 or just spend the extra ans use nismo?
  13. Me car developed an idle hunting problem after a drive through the hunter one day. I remember the accelorator stop fell off and I put the loud pedal all the way down. Could this strectch the accelorator cable or disrupt any other linkages to cause a problem?
  14. 12PSI sounds like the guy you spoke to didn't know what he was on about. You could probably generate just as much power with standard GTR turbos at 1 bar than you could with2560's at 12 PSI.lol. Yeah theres a lot of people using these turbos with decent boost. I wonder what they would look like if removed and inspected. I'll have to see what happens with mine when they go on. I'll speak to you after christmas about the trust pipes if you still have them. Negotiable at all?
  15. Sorry a bit off topic, but could I ask what boost level you were running through the turbos? I have the same turbos, which I have purchased new and am surpised that they had shaft play just after 5000km. Or is it normal to develop a bit of play after installation?
  16. I would be interested in the stroker. Do you use the size pistons? Are rods easy enough to get for this size?

  18. The parts were only around $500 for the lot, thats why I was initially thinking about it, however now I am intent on buying a new crank. As for the rods I would still imiagine that there would be some wear around the contact surface's with the crank and gudgeon pins. Glad I asked the question, as I will stick to new parts. Thanks again everyone.
  19. Thanks guys, sounds like new crank is the way to go. Would a new crank still need to be balanced or can it go straight in? Also anyone have any thoghts on used h beam eagle rods? I think they have done around 20k.
  20. Really, The Crank is one component I thought would be able to stand the test of time. You hear of lots of rebuilds using standard / prepped cranks. Either way its fruit for thought, so thanks!
  21. Hi everyone, I am thinking of rebuilding my r32gtr engine and am contemplating buying a used r33 GTR crank and used eagle rods (I am told these parts are in good order). If I do use these what should I do before they go in the engine? Crank - Inspected and Balanced & linished, anything else? Should it be cross drilled or is this not neccessary? Conrods - Inspected, anything else? Is it easy enough to check for cracks etc? Should I have these components cryo treated? When the Crank is balanced & linished is then when it is measured up to confirm bearing size? Any idea of typical prices for this type of work? Sorry for all the questions but any guidence would be much appreciated. Regards,

  24. Half your luck, I wouldn't mind a pair of these. They look stainless just the flanges look like cast Iron. Maybe I'm worng!
