Ive seen over 10 cop cars in one day. ( friday 22nd - last day of school ) Got into alot of mischief in the last 2 days of school. (Holden bogan P plater hunting) My friend got in to trouble for riding his pushbike to fast down a hill. ( theres a rd called Jamison Rd - Its one of the main roads in Penrith,as you head to the Nepean River ( west ) theres a big hill just before jamison park.) anyway hes got a little speedo thing on it and he got up to 57KM/h on his bike, cops were heading the same way the same road,told get of the road, by this time my friends and I were cutting across the park. The cops rung up his parents and told them what he was doing bla bla bla the rest gets alot more boring. but i have alot better stories of what we did in the last 2 days of school.

I saw 3 skylines at the Krispy kreme in Penrith. One was a maroon colour. discription is abit vague. I keep seeing a maroon gtst drive by my house (Penrith South ) hes definatly doing over the speed limit and he stop at the BWS to buy beer or something. Then on the Great Western Highway one day a saw a P plater in a gtst on the side of the road ( heading towards Mt Druitt ) then about 10 secs later I saw a Silver Gtst 4 Door.( heading towards Penrith) Anyone know these people are?

I got an email back from the japanese garage. Ive got the site where they sell the side skirts. They're called aeropalace. I think they are 40,000 Yen which is around $504 AUS. Aeropalace you might need to use altavista's babelfish or something to read it because its in japanese.

There are also things like VTEC which i think is in Hondas. There are a few advantages with Vtec. Its like having the cams switched to a different profile for higher top end power while before the Vtec comes on having good bottom end torque. The result is an engine with a broad powerband

The power band doesnt come from the gears it comes from the engine. A powerband is where the engine is most efficient. There are 3 efficiences to look out for when getting a HP/torque monster: Those 3 are Volumetric efficiancy, mechanical efficiency and thermal efficiency. - Volumetric efficiency is How well you engine can breath. An engine that has 100% volumetric efficiency is one that has all its cylinders 100% with air and fuel. This can be improved with Mods like extracters, cams , exhaust system and the intake system. Cams can increase air flow to provide more bottem end torque but sacrifice top end power and vice versa. Ive seen an RB30E dyno chart from an ordinary skyline and one out of a GTS1 and the normal Rb30E dies of at later RPM while the GTS1 engine can keep going for more RPM.Because the GTS engine uses a different cam and has had mild head work from factory while the other RB30E hasnt. The exhaust system also can change the power band. Small diameter pipes can help to increase bottom end power while bigger pipes sacrifice bottom end power for better top end power. For forced induction motors eg RB25DET bigger diameter pipes are suited to this engine as it would suffocate with smaller diameter pipes. Low back pressure is better. But for an NA back pressure is better. - Thermal efficiency is how well you engine can change the air/fuel's energy into rotating energy. This is effected by the Compression Ratio, timing, combustion chamber design. -Mechanical efficiency is how well your engine limits the amount of energy exhausted to power the engine itself from friction between parts. Mechaincal effieciency gets worse as RPM increases because its takes more power to turn the engine at higher RPM than what it does at lower rpm. Cams for racing use usually have narrow Powerband characteristics. They are usually put with a "Close Ratio Gearbox" to stop the revs from falling and to keep the engine reving at its powerband. Otherwise Revs would fall and your engine loses power. They usually have a very agressive power band eg (flat power, then when boost comes "strap on and feel the Gs") The Best cam would be one that has great low end torque, a 10,000 RPM redline and and idle as smooth as silk. But no cam can deliver a Powerband from Idle to Redline. Your best bet to getting that would be to buy an after market cam. Head work and a high-flow exhaust systems and filters can help get better high end performance. I hope I could clear that up abit. took me 1hr 14 mins to write.

A power band is where the car first makes it's power and when the power dies of. sorry its hard to explian. Well you might be able to find that by looking at a dyno sheet.

In this chart nissans stock power figures are in blue. Someone Dynoed there stock RB26DETT and the power figures are different to nissan's. Peak Power of 330BHP@6500 RPM Peak Torque of 40KGm@3500 RPM

rb25det Neo Straight Six = Makes ,280PS (280bHP), in KWs thats around 200KW. Theres more torque coming out of those engines than the normal rb25det found in the r32s and r33s. Theres also a Neo rb20de makes 155PS More info at Skyline R34

the 180sx are a quicker car with less mods. They dont need the extra power an r33 does to be fast.

The neos are also in the Nissan Laurel. Well the rb25det Neo has different ignition timing ( more advanced VVT system). I guess thats how it got some of its extra power. All the Neo Motors use whats called a Lean-burn System. Hence ( low fuel consumption ) I found out that there is a 2L neo. It delivers maximum power of 155HP. which really isnt much. I suppose its pretty good for an NA 2L It would have cost nissan alot more money getting 200kw out of a 2 litre. Now you said that the 2.5L Neo "NON" turbo makes 200KW Then you said the 2.5L Neo "TURBO" makes 206KW. What is the point of the turbocharged motor if they both make the same power?? Nissan could have kept the 2.5L an NA motor and still get GTR power. Well really the 2.5 NA does not make 200KW, Its 200HP the Neo RB25DET model makes 206KW (280HP)/6,400 RPM 34.0KG/3,200 RPM CR = 9:0:1

2L Neos Ive never herd of them except for the 2.5L Neo. The only 2L i know of being in the r34s were the rb20de engines.

Ive found a company that makes side skirts for r33s called BOMEX, but in the pic it looks like an r32 4 door. Bomex Aero
