  1. How much torque is being sent to the front? If its just a tiny amount its probably just the attessa preload.
  2. Whatever kit this is. Anyone know what it is? I love the look of it. Edit: Ok, the black on white and front lip threw me off, its a 400R kit.
  3. R33 gts or n/a Z32 300zx. The VG30DE has heaps of go in it for an n/a motor
  4. Hmm it used to be a lot slower than that. Optus Cable
  5. Check to see if it has a "calsonic racing" sticker on it, there should be a part number near the sticker aswell.
  6. It should look like daylight with 5000k, the light produced is very white. As for HIDs into R33 headlights, the R33 headlight housing doesn't concentrate all of the light onto the road, it shines up into the tree tops. 5000k will look like this
  7. Ebay, buy 6000k or 8000k HID kit, done. 8000k aren't that bright though.
  8. GTs come in both rb20 and rb25, the GTX and GTV are high option spec skylines. I think even though the GTX might be N/A it will still have the 4 piston calipers and twin rear, twin airbags, sunroof etc. Basically everything thats in the turbo model will be in the GTX bar the turbo. Definitely go with the RB25, you'll hate yourself for getting the rb20.
  9. I think they opened cables up again a few months ago
  10. The three most common sources for the Longnose R200 is the HR31, Z31 and R30 coupes. Pretty sure all long nose have 30mm diameter axles, 29 spline and shafts are the same length.
  11. To the OP, going the cheapest option with a gtr is often the most expensive, buy the best car you can for your money.. none of this $4000 rubbish. I joined this forum when i was in year 8, no idea what age that would be, 14 maybe?, I'm now almost 21 and only just recently have i decided that I want to buy a R33 gtr or R34 gtt. You'll probably think you can handle that sort of power, i knew i did, But you'll come to realise that once you get off your reds and you get your greens you think you think how little skill you had, and then once you get your full license you come to realise "Wow my driving has improved 1,000,000% since i first got my Ps." What I am saying is your better off buying something cheap and rwd, something that the wreckers is full of and it wont cost much at all to maintain, crash it on friday, fixed for work monday. Honestly at that age you know nothing about how to control a car at speed. What will you do when you get wheel spin at 100 and your rear end starts to fishtail?
  12. Stock radiator is easily sufficient, even for turbo applications
  13. At work our spanners are bahco and sidchrome, all sockets are sidchrome. Ive never had anything fail yet and these sockets are used in pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, ratchets all day and all night long.
  14. Ive found that in my na r31, if you stalled it up hard it would jump half to three quarters a carlength on most aussie sixes (vs, vt, vx, ba) etc and would hold that until 90km/h, then they will pull past me. At over 100 against vs, vt commodores, I would slowly start pulling forward. Their tall diff ratio seems to make them suffer at anything over 120. The falcons actually go quite well, even the single cam ones. R31 against an r33 na, again I would get the jump upto 100km, then it would fly past me unless there was a slight uphill grade in the road then it would fall back slowly. They don't seem to have much torque at all. I was at autobarn last week and there was a cefiro in the carpark, i asked who owned it and the guy said it only had an rb20de in it and gets beaten by mirages and lancers. So i don't think anything rb20de powered really has much of a chance at all.
  15. Theyre pretty cheap on ebay. Ah, just read you dont want to buy online
  16. turbo r32s have 4 pot calipers
  17. When you recognise the shape of commodore and falcon headlights in your rear view mirror then get paranoid it might be a cop When you've come out of some twisty roads and say to yourself, I wish I had better tyres When you turn into a side street after you took off a little quick and you didn't notice the cop car pass you, then watch your rear view mirror and see them hit the brakes and indicate to u-turn When you have a black carbon patch on your rear bar from your exhaust after you've taken it out for a bit of fun When your the only person on the freeway late night/early morning and you get the thought of smashing the accelerator but then thinking, ahh I'd better not.
  18. Get yourself a multimeter, test wires when ignition is off, then turn your parkers on and see what wire gets 12v, that's your illumination. The other will be your rpm
  19. What about a VG33 + box out of a pathfinder?
  20. 300zx or JZA80 Supra if it falls into your price range + ridox kit
  21. Haha yeah shes always telling me how she spots shitty r33s in disgusting colours with ironing board wings and cheap rims. She knows the difference between gtr and gts, how to tell n/a from turbo, series 1 and 2 r33s, all the silvia models, what motors are in what car, she knows all her dattos, toyotas, mazdas etc. Shes tells the boys at school whats what lol.
  22. PM sent.
  23. Hey Guys, My sister has her formal coming up in a few weeks and she hasn't organised a car yet so I thought I'd help her get a car. Anyways shes after an r33 or 34 gtr, preferably a 34. If anyone has a gtr and would like to help it would be very appreciated. Details: Date: 2nd December Time: Pick up my sister from my house at approx 4:30 - 4:45pm (Penrith). From here she will have to go to the Nepean river for pics etc for about an hour, and then be driven to her school (Jamison High) at about 5.30pm where a bus will take them to their function. Then you're free to go. All up it should only take about an hour - hour and a half, so not too long. Payment: The cost of your fuel will be covered and ill pay for your lunch or something lol, hopefully you wont have to travel too far to get here. It would be easier for someone in the Western Syd area or mountains as there isn't much driving to do once your here. Hopefully someone can help out. Jeremy
  24. Drain the reservoir and put new fluid in their. Might be best not to turn the car on or you'll have to flush the whole system, but you will probably want to do that anyway . Brake fluid is pretty nasty stuff, you wanna get rid of it before it starts to eat any seals in the system.
  25. Save yourself the time and money and just buy one with an rb25 in it already. What was in the one you looked at rb20de or det? The both of them would be pretty slow regardless.
