  1. Wondering if car parts are supposed to be kept out of the Other Items classifieds section? I like keeping an eye on Other Items but it's become a defacto car parts section. Is it possible to clear out the car part ads in Other Items?
  2. Not the ball. I have a feeling he just forgot mine and for $13 from Repco I'm not exactly going to cry over it. Everything else, removable tongue, square plug etc included.
  3. It looks as though that rim has taken a massive hit. Look at the "gutter rash" on the front of it (it's not so much rash but blunt force trauma). That's a big hit and it looks like the force was perpendicular to the rim. I doubt any rim would be able to withstand what that wheels appears to have taken.

    Speeding

Speeding penalties are MANDATORY. The only way out of it is to hire a lawyer who can get you out of it, 100%. To do this you will need to plead not guilty to the speeding offence and then present the data proving your innocence. If you cannot do this, you're boned. If you try and fail, expect a worse punishment than what has already been metered out. You cannot plead guilty and ask for a more lenient punishment, it is 100% impossible. Mandatory means the court has no alternative.
  6. Here are some crappy phone pics. I'm very happy with the job he's done. It certainly looks sturdy.
  7. If you already have a quote, what in f**ks name are you hoping for here? You are not going to achieve 800kw with a 30K euro motor, at least not more than once. Australia is expensive, but it's perhaps 10-20% more expensive, and I bet we do RBs better (and probably cheaper) than anywhere in Europe.
  8. WTF? Since when do school holidays start in August?
  9. I can't remember off the top of my head. It works our to about 16l/100 on 98 and 14 on 100. So not great either way, but there is a definite improvement on 100 for me.
  10. And it's done. I haven't had the chance to crawl under the car yet, but from what I can see it's a fantastic job. Extremely neat and well tucked up under the bar. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow. The jig is made so he can bang these out on demand. $550 fully fitted but sans tow ball, so you'll need to add that on top. That represents a savings of $220 over a one off.
  11. It's all systems go. I dropped in to see him today while in Ringwood looking at bikes and he's still ready for my car so by Friday arvo it'll be fitted with a towbar! If you haven't already, get in and book a time to get yours done.
  12. That thing needs to do a trip to Calder, stat.
  13. I was in the same position 2 years ago and went an S2 C34 Stag. So much car for the money.
  14. My car gets almost 10% better fuel economy on United 100 octane than BP or Shell 98. I just eek out 400ks on 98 but make it to ~440 on 100. I've tested over multiple tanks on both and the results are fairly consistent. I wouldn't have thought there'd by a that much of a difference.
  15. Will only need your car for one day. He needs mine for the extra day for jig making purposes.
  16. Details finalised: removable square tongue includes tow ball your choice of plug (round or square) with sticker - ie. will be engineered rated for ~2,000kg but he couldn't remember exactly off the top of his head. $550 drive in drive out and you can book a time that suits (absolute final price TBC but he's fairly sure it'll be around $550). I will be dropping my car off on the morning of August 8 and he will have it for two days. Once I have it back I'll let you all know and you can contact Des to book in a time to have yours done. This represents a $200 saving over one offs. Having at least three of us good to go means it's worth his while to make the jig which in turn means he can do them cheaper going forward so even if you don't get one in the next month or so, you will be able to get one off him any time in the future. So Locsed Products in Ringwood is now THE place to go to get a tow bar for an S2 C34 (and possibly S1 but I'm not sure of the floor pan differences).
  17. This is still happening. I've been flat out at work the past fortnight and this was put on the back burner. I called Des the other day to arrange the jig making but he was out on the road and I didn't get the chance to call him back. I will be calling him on Monday to finalise arrangements. Once it's sorted I'll post them up.
  18. Only a stage 1 port job? Dude, there'll be danger to the manifold with a stage 1 at over 9000!!! RPM. Use the search.
  19. Engrish, motherf**ker, you no speaky? Click the Yahoo Auction link and let the page translate.
  20. No good. They are only beautiful goods attached, but the 2 book is bad about.
  21. The "problems" with the X1 didn't bother me in the slightest. I don't trade/buy second hand games, I don't tend to play old gen games, and my Xbox is online 24/7 anyway. What's the big f**kin' deal? MS are building a steambox. Awesome. That's exactly what I'm after.
  22. Another white stag, different to the one yesterday I think (the one yesterday had roof racks). This time I passed it on the Greensborough Highway near the Civic Drive roundabout. I gave a toot and thumbs up on the way past (was on the red/white R1).
  23. White C34 sitting on Main Street, Greensborough waiting to turn right up St Helena Road yesterday around midday. I was in the yellow Stag which turned out of St Helena and went up Diamond Creek Road.
  24. My Stag loves the United 100 octane stuff. I've recently went some straight 98 and got just on 400ks from the tank. I get about 440 on the 100. There wasn't any notable difference in the type of driving I did on the 98.
