Fuel Consumption On 260Rs Vs M35 Vs C34 (4Wd)
Cowboy1600 replied to West's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Christ no. Parts for RB and R/C platforms are everywhere and cheap as shit. VGs and M platforms are rare and hella expensive. -
Stao, how much will you charge for an OP6 as a test mule and what's your turn around on it?

Fuel Consumption On 260Rs Vs M35 Vs C34 (4Wd)
Cowboy1600 replied to West's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
That's irrelevant. That you're asking about which is cheaper to run means you want something cheap to run. They are all much of a muchness. 1-2L/100ks difference is ~$3/100k or ~$12 per tank. So instead of $105 to fill it it might "only" be $90. If that difference is the make or break, then you're barking up the wrong tree. If it's not then why does it matter which one is "more efficient"? I love my stag but it's not a daily driver. If it was I fear I'd be living in it cause I wouldn't be able to afford the mortgage. They would not be a pleasant car to use as a daily if you do not have a heck of a lot of money at your disposal. -

I reckon you need to look at the tune. I was getting 450 out of my RS4S and then swapped the AFM to a Z32 (I have a PFC and adjusted the AFM settings there). Fuel consumption blew out to about 300ks to a tank. Put the Neo AFM back in and back to 400-450 to a tank. I'm sure there's better in mine with a retune. Sounds like yours could do with one too. Mind you, mine feking DRINKS like a pirate on shore leave after finding the Lost City of Atlantis. I reckon I could empty the tank in under 200ks at a track with little effort. -
An Alternative Ecu Choice Worth Considering.

The sensor alone is $200 but they have a pack with sensor, loom and display for $400 which is what I'd do. Problem is I don't always head west. In fact I head west as often as possible With a 12 month old who regularly travels with me and a wife who hates my car, I don't want to have to hunt down a specific servo every time I use my car. The piece of mind of being able to fill up at any station is worth the extra coin. Otherwise I'd keep the PFC in a second. I'm still not 100% set on what I'm going to do. After Stao's latest development I might just stick with 98. -

Yeah, I want flex fuel. I want to be able to run what I want when I want without having to worry about what's already in the tank. The cost of going Flex over dual maps isn't that much more. From what I can gather it's a flex fuel sensor and ECU capable of doing flex + extra setup/tuning time. I have a PFC so will need to swap ECU irrespective and injectors, pump, turbo will be done regardless. Zeitronix has a sensor, harness and display combo for ~$400 which is a pretty good deal considering the GM sensor alone is nearly $400. -

What would be best for Flex Fuel "on a budget"? By on a budget I mean that I know it's not going to be cheap, but money is a consideration so what's the best ECU for the price with flex fuel in mind? Will a Link Atom or Storm do it? Which Haltech is on par, cost wise, with the Links and is it a better option, etc? -
Single 4Gb 670 > dual 660s. 660s will give marginally better performance (~5%) but not nearly enough for the cost (~$250 more to go two 2Gb 660s over a single 4Gb 670) and potential headf**kkery of SLI cards. It also leaves you nowhere to go in future if required. Put the $250 towards a 1440 monitor (Catleap). Microstuttering, screen tearing and simple refusal to play ball FTL. Also stick with 1600mhz ram.

Fuel Consumption On 260Rs Vs M35 Vs C34 (4Wd)

If you're concerned about fuel consumption, a turbo 2.5/6l inline/V6 stationwagon with 4wd isn't for you. They are expensive cars to run and maintain. -
Stao, that highflow is redonkulous. What would that in an OP6 housing cost? Every time I settle on a plan you go and do something that throws a spanner in the works....

Amen to that. I had an issue with one of my YJs when I first got them. Paul sent me a new set before I sent back my original ones allowing me to continue driving int he mean time. I replaced them, put the first batch in a box and sent them back. No sweat, no dramas. Second set have had no issues on a Neo running 12PSI. I intend on going flex fuel + a HG turbo shooting for 300+kw this year (thank you tax return) and will report back if I have any issues. The service from Paul was second to none and my YJs have so far been great.

Really? I assume this was online research. Can you point us to it?

Rotaron, any update? How'd the towball go?

Stagea Problems, Please Helllp ! =(

While this sounds more like a faulty sensor, have you checked trans fluid level? I know autos can get all funky when they are low. And for christ's sake, don't warm up your car for two and a half minutes >< You're doing more harm than good. Start it Let it idle for 20-30 tops Get going Drive sedately until it's up to temp -
PLEASE keep us updated on this. I'm very keen.

I'm in a similar boat (geddit, boat? ) and will go the SS2 or, more likely, G3. It's not a daily so I'm not concerned about lag which is why I'm leaning towards the G3. I just need to sort out my injector choice before buying the turbo. My kingdom for a simple 1000cc injector solution for a Neo!

Still going on PC.

Is that a C34 or M35? I need a friggin' tow bar for my S2 C34.

Would you recommend getting rid of a PFC and replace it with an Adaptronic? Are there good features to be gained? -
But in all seriousness, what Konieegeeseegggaaeese are doing is pretty awesome. It's great to see a legit company coming up with something so far out and with so much potential. Plenty of nutbags have come up with "motoring revolutions" in the past which came to nothing. Koneorofgefefedlknfegsgseg have the runs on the board so it's worth watching.

Dafaq? All it has on the Xbox is Bluray. Xbox game selection pisses on the PS as does the Dashboard and Xbox Live. Everything else is pretty equal.

Being an accountant would help, certainly. It's the most intricate game I've ever played, bar none. It's good fun, too, especially when you have some decent skills and a mate or two to play with. Smashing noobs in C3 wormholes in our Legions was fun
