  1. Perhaps sticky my "Complete Ethanol" thread? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/404471-the-complete-ethanol-thread/page__st__80__p__6629021__hl__complete%20ethanol__fromsearch__1#entry6629021
  2. You still use Burning Dog? Dude! Chrome is where it's at I used to be an FF fanboi, but have moved to Chrome and it pisses on FF. Anywho, back to normal programming.
  3. I'm with you, Hamish, I've driven all manner of completely unroadworthy cars, some blatantly obvious, some not so, and have only ever once been given RWC grief and that was during a "if it moves pull it over and send it to the RTA" operation in Lismore one night. Even then the only things they picked me up for was a CAI I had made by removing a headlight (it needed a cover so I cut the bottom out of a milk crate). There was a myriad of things they ignored liek the non-AS seats, 2 litre where a 1600 should have been etc, etc. I'm always extremely polite. The last time I got pulled over I got done for 74 in a 50 but let off for over taking over unbroken white line, not having an AS sticker on my helmet and have a non-standard fitting extending beyond the front-most part (GoPro) of the fairing. I was happy to cop the three points seeing as I dodged about 5 more not to mention he saved me about $1,000 in fines. If I was a rude prick there is no doubt he would have hit me for the helmet, overtake and GoPro. I've been let off a number times before* and I'm fairly confident every time it was purely because I passed the attitude test with flying colours. * I can think of six fairly lucky let offs off the top of my head and was going to outline them but on second thoughts, after typing them out, I might leave them for shooting the breeze at a meet one day/night
  4. Sell your car cause of a six month suspension? That's just silly. Go to Japan, get the parts, get your car ready to roll and the six months will be over before you know it. Of course, this is worst case. There is a small chance you may not end up with six months, but it's small.
  5. This. You're boned if it's your word vs his. He will win, 100%. Argue that you were only 10-15 over and his estimate was off and you might stand a small chance of getting that past the keeper, but don't hold your breath. A good traffic lawyer will help, but will be pricey.
  6. Ouch, that thing's a write off for sure. You should be covered by their insurance, regardless of rego or not. Were you moving at the time? Or was it parked outside your house? Either way, you might be in for a visit from Johnny Lawman, but if it was just parked you might get lucky.
  7. Thanks, dickhead. I'm less than 30 minutes from the end and you've f**ked it now.
  8. It's not irrational at all. Apple is the problem with smartphones, not the driver of innovation. Apple products are shit, their OS is f**ked but their marketing rules. f**k Apple.
  9. Same. My last two phones have been HTCs and if my next isn't a Nokia Lumina, then it'll be an HTC of some sort. Battery life on all current gen smartphones sucks nuts. Yet another thing I blame Apple for. If not for their bullshit "thinnest, lightest" marketing shit, our phones would all weight 50% more (at a whopping 160-180g) and have batteries which last a couple days with usage. But since the iSheeple are so f**king weak they can't carry a phone that weighs more than 118g, battery life sucks balls. f**k Apple, stupid f**ks.
  10. I can see why he doesn't want to drive it. the moment he takes it out of the shop they will turn around and say it was fine when he left. I would get in writing from the owner that the damage was done by them. once got, take it away, go to a panel beater you want and get a quote. Send him the quote. Alternatively, as has been said, simply contact your insurance company and give it to them to handle assuming you have one, of course.
  11. Just get a 240V four poster. I assume you're not wanting this for Oz, but here's an example: http://radum.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=8024
  12. You start losing health once they get within 3 meters of you. The closer they get, the faster it goes. They kinda aren't meant to ever catch you, but heck, they are actors/real people ergo things happen. It's part of what adds to the whole experience cause you simply don't know what's going to happen next.
  13. You guys realise the GPU in that system is about $1300 worth? It's actually a pretty bloody good price, although I would never spend that much myself. As Anthony alluded to, law of diminishing returns suggests that spending more than around $1500-$1800 on a PC is pretty much futile.
  14. I use CentreCom in Bundoora. The prices are much of a muchness between all the resellers. I CBFed travelling all over the place to save $4 on a mobo and I build everything myself. I've heard a few complaints about other CentreComs but the guys at Bundoora have been perfect. I've delt with them heaps over the past few years, including RMAs, and never had even an inkling of an issue. They are also happy to chat and give advice.
  15. Righto, I'm going to take the plunge today and upgrade to 8. Wish me luck...
  16. They have done a fairly significant update of the graphics which I'd love to play, but for fear of divorce, I shall not activate my WoW account ever again. WoW is still the game upon which all other games are benchmarked.
  17. Those main caps are purrrrdy.
  18. Post the VIN in the FAST thread and someone will be able to tell you what it is.
  19. The RB is 15 kgs heavier than the xr motor. That is comparing long engines.
  20. Mine isn't Dayz but is a yellow manual with twin sunnies.
  21. 270x1.34= 361rwhp 361*1.2=434 engine hp allowing 20% drive train loss (which is a widely accepted rough estimate) Yours sounds about right,
  22. http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/7pc128bww-samsung-128gb-p-58540.html
  23. Nice. Certainly looks like a clean example.
  24. Very nice. Welcome to the club. Yellow C34s, according to my mates wife, look like a taxi f**ked a hearse. At least that's what she says about mine I struggle to disagree. Get rid of those eyelids, stat! Is she a manuel or slusher?
