  1. Please do. Some mates and I want to host our own proxy somewhere unencumbered by regulation.
  2. Looking for a VPS in a country with good net infrastructure and relaxed regulations. Latvia looks promising but was wondering if anyone has any other suggestions. Not looking to do anything illegal, just looking for a VPS where I can host a VPN. No plans to break any laws, just don't like people looking over my shoulder.
  3. Sorry, but you are so far from reality. Recreation: We have State and National Parks open to walking, riding, horses, shooters, 4WDers, rock climbing, abseiling, bird watching, camping, swimming etc. We are surround by beaches guarded by lifeguards where you can swim, surf, fish and so on. We play just about every sport on earth and there are local organisations running these, ie. AFL, cricket, rugby, netball, la crosse, soccer, darts, basketball, hockey, baseball, cycling, gymnastics, running etc. There's a BMX track or Skate Park no more than a suburb or two away from the vast majority of the population. We have required minimum open spaces in our communities where people can kick a footy, have a picnic and generally run around outside. There are walking/cycling tracks everywhere. Model aeroplane clubs scattered around the place, go kart tracks and drag strips, swimming holes and tennis courts. Seriously, if the best you can come up with is footy and cricket, then you're not trying very hard. Australian hospital admitted over 9,000,000 people last year and provided nearly 20,000,000 outpatient services. In a population of 22,000,000 that's a fair effort. Of course some people won't experience perfect service, but for every one of them there's probably 100,000 who did. I've been to hospital a few times in my life and once was I left waiting for a long period when I shouldn't have been. Did I complain? No, cause shit happens sometimes. All the other times I've been admitted and treated very quickly with a high standard of care and then sent home with a pocketful of things to help me get better. Few other countries have that kind of experience. You know most teachers have three years of education to became a teacher or they have years of experience in a particular field which is recognised and therefore allows them to fast track to becoming a specialised teacher, right? We have some of the lowest teacher to student ratios in the world and some of the best educational outcomes in the world. As for the US, they bend over backwards to serve you as their livelihood relies on it. They get $4 an hour + tips. f**k that. I'd rather put up with half assed service than insist people get paid a wage below the poverty line. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLjyo51qmrI EDIT: Don't ya just love facts?
  4. Settle on, it was a simple miss-understanding. No need to start throwing insults.
  5. Ok, I miss-understood. I wasn't having a go at Stao, I'm a big fan of his work. I though he was saying it's not a worthy upgrade from a China manifold which I then assumed it was still on the cards for a stock upgrade. There was a little bit lost in translation.
  6. Without a side by side comparison against a stock manifold, Stao will struggle to sell any. "It performs nearly as well as a no name China manifold" isn't a satisfactory response to "what benefits can I expect above and beyond my current stock manifold?" There is too much variation between "China' manifolds to be able to use "them" as a benchmark. Stock is the only acceptable benchmark.
  7. For $500 you'd want to be ale to demonstrate a significant improvement in power and/or response. Exactly what "significant" is is up to you to advertise and the consumer to decide if it's worth $500.
  8. You're kidding, right? We piss and moan incessantly about how bad we have it here in Australia, but our lifestyle is better than 99.99% of the rest of the world. We have world class health, education, recreation, infrastructure and so on. Sure, there are countries with some things better than us, but they are rare, and it's even rarer to find a country with everything better than us. To suggest otherwise is simply ignorant and/or intentionally misleading.
  9. Excuse me while I play the worlds smallest violin. There are a myriad of ways to avoid paying tax for people on that level of income. If they aren't doing so, then that's their problem. As for people moving to low tax environments, really? Do you REALLY know someone who said "f**k this shit, I'm moving to Mogadishu cause the tax rate there is f**k all"? Or did they move for other reasons and it so happens they have gone to a lower tax environment? Also, what have they given up in regards to lifestyle for their lower tax burden? Do they have a world class hospital system, public transport, good road system, good schools, well kept public spaces, etc, etc? Short of moving to Lichtenstein, I bet they don't. People piss and moan about paying tax, but without it we wouldn't enjoy the lifestyle we do. And the tax take relative to GDP in Australia and Switzerland is almost identical. As an aside to that, that says nothing for methods to actually minimize nor retrieve that tax. I doubt Switzerland has as many legal tax avoidance schemes as Australia has. And the Swiss tax rate tops out at 40%.
  10. Eggzacery. This manifold is targeted at people currently running stock manifolds. The only way Stao is going to confidently say that it's a worthy ~$500 upgrade is by comparing it back to back with a stock manifold and showing the improvement, assuming there is one.
  11. You're kidding me right? How about comparing like with like. Dubai is not like Australia, nor is Hong Kong. One has an economy underpinned by sovereign oil exports, the other is a trading hub with 7 million people which is 1/8th the size of Metropolitan Melbourne. As for Switzerland (a more relevant comparison), when you add up all taxes paid, not just income tax or business tax, Switzerland's tax as a percentage of GDP is almost identical to Australia.
  12. You need to get hold of a stock standard manifold and compare it to that because that's what it's going to be replacing. I can't see it being attractive to someone who already has an aftermarket mani. Myself, on the other hand, would consider yours if the price is good and it compares favorably to stock.
  13. We're one of the lowest taxed nations in the world. Stop complaining. Also, this is far from a tax grab. It's slated to cost more to administer than revenue it generates and for that reason it won't happen.
  14. I'm gunna keep a tally. Another iPhone eats shit. A 4s, less than 8 months old. The power button is rooted and it's got a big crack across the screen.
  15. Brand new United just opened on Yan Yeah Rd in Doreen....and it has E85! Booyah! E85 5 minutes from my house Happy days! Now it's a matter or saving the pennies for a HG and 1000cc injectors and I'm good to go.
  16. Stagea 260rs? A 33 gtr with 5 seats and space for stuff in the.back
  17. You've had 7 phones in how long? Seriously, you're a hack.
  18. More fail.... The Asian market is heavily Android biased and is as big if not bigger than the US market. And I said I do not know a single iPhone user who has not had the screen shatter. To break that down for you it means out of all the people I know who haved owned an iPhone, every single one of them has smashed a screen at some stage. it does not mean evey person in the world who owns an iPhone has had the screen shatter. One concession I will give, I'm talking about my immediate friends/family. I'm not counting acquaintances or work colleagues. China sales What else ya got?
  19. Keep the 33 and buy an M35 to tow the family around with.
  20. One is obviously better because it isn't notorious for smashing it's screen.
  21. And at what point did anyone claim such a thing? You f**ked up. That's all there is. And it was a funny f**k up cause it completely destroyed your claim that iPhones are hardy and Android are susceptible to breaking just as much. Apple holds about 18% of the smartphone market. Android around 70%.
  22. How fekin' sweet would those glasses be I'm really keen to see the Nokia Win8 phones myself. I was a huge Nokia fanboi until it became obvious Symbian had been left behind. I've spent a bit of time on the pre-release Win 8 and I reckon it's got real potential.
  23. That's sheer brilliance. I like the Samsung marketing department.
  24. Hahaha...I was going to point out the folly of his post, but was on my phone at the time and CBFed. Google "Android broken screen" and get a bunch of apps to prank people with to make them think their screen is broken. Repeat process with "iphone broken screen" and see hundreds of pictures and posts of people complaining about their broken iphone screen. Nice own goal there, SFSC.
