  1. I claim you haven't got a clue what you're talking about. Just how f**king smart do you think the average iPhone user is? Hell, they can't be that smart seeing some of them are confused by those seriously technical and hyper weird Android phones. If you're incapable of finding the multitude of studies, stories and reports which demonstrate what a fragile piece of shit iphones are, then that's not our problem. I do not know a single iPhone user who has not had the screen shatter on them. I do not know a single Android user who has had the screen shatter on them. I have never seen an Android phone locked up so hard that even a reboot does not resolve it, as per the iPhone currently sitting on my desk at work awaiting return. That's a near new 4s and the second one to do it in about a fortnight. It locks so hard that even a hard reboot does nothing, it just boots back to the swipe screen locked up solid. Two in a fortnight!
  2. Righto, so you know my situation better than I do. So, you've had four phones in 16 months. Why? I await your back peddling and BS excuses. We have about 15 people with work provided phones. Since I started there we have gone from 3's to 4's. In total at least 10 of the 30 odd phones have shit themselves. Apples are notorious for being utter shit. That's simply fact. We also have 9 iPads, two of which have died (although one was the GMs personal device) and eight iMacs, two of which have also died (we have 26 PCs and 9 laptops, one of which had the HDD die). That's in just over two years (since I started). And try all you might to deny what I say as truth, but I'm the poor schmuck who has to set these pieces of shit up everytime one dies. You want to know how many HTCs I've been through in the past two years? Two. My original Desire, which my wife still uses (she's since passed her two year old Wildfire onto her mum) and my Velocity which I upgraded to in the release week. Neither have died. It's great you find the iOS so fantastic. But seeing as you find Android a little too complex, I'm not surprised. Seriously, if Android confuses you then you need to make sure you have a cork on the end of your fork so you don't take out an eye when trying to eat your dinner after you mum has cut it up for you.
  3. I'm working from home today....but knock off a 5pm. I'll be on shortly thereafter.
  4. A very neat looking S2 (I think) C34 driving up Acacia Road in Hurstbride at 1:05pm today. Anyone here?
  5. More accuracy for my fav weapon when shooting from standing. Yes please! I'm addicted to the M249.
  6. Armoured Kill in 5 days 12 hours!

  8. Also, would running a die-grinder around the ports to open them a fraction and smooth them out be beneficial? I know port shape and smoothness on intakes are very very delicate, but I don't think the same applies to the to side. In fact smooth ports might speed up gas flow which means faster spool. At least that's my uninformed theory Might have been worth running the die grinder over the whole inside while the back was off. Maybe give that a go next time.
  9. Did you calculate the extra volume? If not, it'd be great to do so. Block off the turbo outlet and fill that sucker with water. Then compare it with a stock one. Can't wait to see results.
  10. No, just no. They certainly used to match Intel, dollar for dollar in performance stakes and even bettered Intel in some cases, but not anymore. AMD have dropped the ball on their processor range. And really, I was just rib poking. TBH I'm not a CPU snob. While I can't see me buying AMD anytime soon (dollar/performance proposition doesn't add up IMO), if AMD works for you, so be it.
  11. Zorro has the right of it. If you are budget conscious then it's hard to go past an S2 RS4S (or S1 for that matter). It's 85% of the 260rs for half the price. To make it 120% of the RS will still cost less than an RS. But then, at the end of the day, it's not an RS. If you specifically want an RS because it's an RS then go for it, I doubt you'll be disappointed. Just bear in mind there is a cheaper way to get into a stag or cheaper a way to get into a faster stag by starting with an RS4S.
  12. Just been doing some Googling on welding cast and it seems pretty much every method is possible, which I was unaware of, but tig and mig would appear to be the least popular for something like an exhaust manifold as many heat cycles causes it to become impregnated with carbon which makes it brittle. I found this site - http://www.weldingtipsandtricks.com/ there's some great info there for anyone who's interested. I love welding although don't get to do much these days.
  13. You'll pay $15k for a good GTT and recoup maybe $4-5k by flogging everything you don't need. $10k for a rolling shell is pretty darn pricey. You might be able to find something with damage but it's likely a lot of the stuff you need will have been stripped (brakes, diff, lights, decent panels). This would probably be the cheapest option provided you can pull it straight and bolt panels back on yourself. What project are you planning?
  14. I'ma take a stab and say not any of those three. Brazing is the likely best and easiest way to weld steam pipe to cast. If not, then maybe Mig. I doubt Tig or arc would get a look in. Stao?
  15. Do nothing, spend nothing. Drive it until you're allowed a turbo then sell it and buy a turbo. In the mean time, take extra, extra, extra good care of it so you get max $$$ when you sell it.
  16. Touche. But prior to that? 17 years ago. My point still stands. Their investors have been done over.
  17. Why would anyone but Samsung employees be upset? I don't have to pay the fine, nor any of the fines which will in time be handed down to Apple for infringing on Samsung patents. Do you know what Apple "patented"? Pinch to zoom and slide to unlock. Wow, the Apple doyens truly are geniuses. Who would have ever imagined you could move your finger across a screen? Funny thing is they bought the patent on those miraculous features from someone else. What's funny about this is it reinforces the belief that Apple products are utter shit. If they weren't then Apple wouldn't be fighting their biggest battles in a US courtroom arguing some bullshit IP argument. They'd be dominating in the marketplace where, from all accounts, they simply are not. Windows is more than 4 times bigger in the PC space and Android is 60% of the smartphone market where Apple is about 30%. Tablets are the only thing Apple are "winning" at and that's not by much. Sure, they horde massive wealth but that's simply a slap in the face for their brainless consumers and investors. Consumers are retarded for paying an ultra-premium price for a lackluster product and investors are retarded for getting nothing in return for their shares apart from a higher value. That's not much good until you sell the shares at which point you probably don't make that much due to the huge amount it took to buy in in the first place. On top of that if lots of people started realising their capital growth, the price would plummet and plummet hard. Such over valued shares are far more susceptible to market jitters.. When was the last time Apple paid a dividend?
  18. The squiggly line means roughly. Those were off the top of my head and proved to be not too far out. So, now to be precise its 1650 vs 1390. 260kgs is a long way from 400. Of course they won't be as spritely as a GTST, but that's not a long way off. Also, the Stags have a Neo vs your non-neo R33 which helps close the gap.
  19. $1700 sounds like a fair price to me. 8 pallet spaces from Perth to Sydney would be at least that for general freight, so a car, enclosed, on the same trip for $1700 sounds right.
  20. Stagea ~1620kgs R33 GTST ~1400Kgs That's not that big really.
  21. Our company uses iPhones for our sales/support staff. About fifteen in total. There are currently four of them sitting on the desk of our admin girl waiting to be returned and replaced. This is not uncommon. The 3s regularly died, at least five of the 4's died (we're talking the space of a year) and now four of fifteen 4s' are rooted. I'm fairly sure at least two of them have already been replaced, too. Seriously, iphones are absolute shit. I am just amazed at how completely shit they are. Most of my iphone using friends have ditched them for android. Most of them had at least one or two die over a couple of generations of phones before turfing them. And the screens are made of fine bone china. Again, pretty much every iphone user I know has smashed a screen. I'm yet to see, in person, and android with a broken screen. My phones have slid off bonnets, fallen out of pockets, been knocked off tables yet never cracked a screen.
  22. Manual stag drive train is identical to the R33 GTR.
  23. They are both 206kw stock. Well that's quoted power figures. 26s have more scope for power, stock, but Neos have an arguably better head design which helps to narrow the capacity deficit. Also 25s are cheaper to mod as you either need only one turbo or you don't need to spend the money making it single turbo, so you're ahead from step one. EDIT: But there is a lot of subjectivity around this issue, so listen to arguments from both sides before deciding. EDIT #2: for ~$5k you'll get an RS4S to eat a stock 260rs. HG/GT3076, injectors, fuel pump, ECU, AFM, fitting and tune and you've got a solid 300rwkw and a stock 260rs destroyer. Go E85 and, yeah, well the results posted all over the place speak for themselves. 340rwkw (that's ~550hp engine ) figures are being seen with lots of mid range and "area under the curve" which means lag is under control. Of course, all this is doable with an RB26 but you either need more coin for two turbos/AFMs or spend the not inconsiderable amount of cash to go to a single turbo.
