  1. Good choice IMO. At the end of it you might be a touch slower than a Supra, but you won't look like a homo when you're driving around.
  2. and some liquid horsepower.
  3. My goodness that thing's clean. Being an L24E it might be desirable to someone if only for the engine. I'm trying to picture it hotted up, ie. big wheels, lowered, colour coded and a decent huffer pumping air into the the motor, but just can't see it which is a shame because it looks unbelievably straight.
  4. Would you post wheels?
  5. BAZINGA! You've pretty much just built me the turbo I was looking for You've got me. What is one of these puppies worth inc postage to metro Melbourne? My intention is this + WMI. Also what sort of battery/charging system would one require for the e-charger?
  6. Stageas are not all auto. RS4S Stags are manual.
  7. EDIT: Wait, you have a VQ. You could be right on the price.
  8. Oh shite, you're really going to milk this, aren't you?
  9. E-Flex is too hard to come by. If the Eltham United ever started stocking it, I'd give it a bang for sure. Until then I'm not keen on a 70k round trip in traffic just to get fuel and I've got nowhere at home to store any in bulk. So in the mean time I want to get ~300rwkw with as much poke as possible. At the moment it's a G3 or 3037 from what I can gather. If I can get a G3 which sacrifices a bit of top end for earlier boost and more through the middle, gimme!
  10. Well if you need to carry 160Gb of music around with you, fair enough. I have 197Gb of music on my PC and I reckon I'd actually want maybe 1/10th of that with me at any one time at most. I think I have about 9Gb on my phone and 8Gb in my car (on USB plugged into head unit).
  11. And couldn't have been more wrong. The 30/31/34 shape isn't classic Skyline. It's 80s and early 90s Skyline. Have a look at the rising bonnet line of the early Skylines and you'll see it in the 33. The rear glass angle and the way it flows to the boot again, 33 only. The way the rear quarters taper in at the top, again classic Skyline seen also in the 33. The panel crease from the bottom of the C Pillar to the boot, again early Skyline, seen in the 33 and 32 but not the 90s and 34 Skylines. I agree with Hanaldo though. If you like 33s buy one. They are fantastic cars, regardless of what the haters think.
  12. Who uses an iPod, seriously? Doesn't every person on earth have a smart phone now with oodles of memory? Why the heck would you carry a dedicated music player and a phone when your phone can do it for you?
  13. Go back to the C110 Skylines and you'll find the shape has more in common with 33s than 30s, 31s or 34s. I'd say if anything Nissan bastardised the Skyline brand with the shopping trolleys of the 90s and the abortion which is the R34 Gt-t. There is nothing at all classic about the 34 profile. The 32 and 33 share much in common and are more of a throwback to the original Skyline.
  14. It is f**k all when you consider the benefits it brings in component strength, braking, rigidity and HP.
  15. I'm struggling with that, too. Especially so as the quad tail lights on the Skyline dates back to 1973, seven years before the Maxima nameplate was created.
  16. Not sure I agree with you there. Common, well, I wouldn't call a car you might see once a day on average common, but I suppose they are more common than other such cars. not sure that's necessarily a bad thing. As for heavy? I wouldn't call 1400kgs for a 6 cylinder turbo coupe with all the fruit (strong box, good brakes and so on) heavy. Have you ever driven a 33 in anger? They are very nimble and well behaved.
  17. I loved my 33. I personally think aesthetically they are (or at least can be) very tough looking. I also found it a very fun car to drive, more fun that pretty much every car I've owned apart from one of my Datsun 1600s. Nothing will top that My advice is go for it. R33s are fantastic cars.
  18. Oooh, me rikee the sound of that! I cannot decide which way to go. I want ~300rwkw max so a turbo capable of 330ish is simply going to induce lag at my target and the smaller turbos have to be leaned on very hard to not quite make it so a 2.5 could be just the ticket!
  19. Dark blue M35 on the Eastern Freeway @ about 5:20 this arvo. Anyone here?
  20. Well, I'm not sure I appreciate being called a douche bag for trying to help. Would you? I'm fairly confident he wouldn't call me that to my face so why call me that online? And I don't care. He can spend his money anyway he wants, but I still hope it spins a big end, drops a valve, snaps the timing belt and melts a piston on the way home from the mechanic.
  21. Google Drive is FTW. Oh look, a folder on my PC *drag file - drop in folder* Oh look, it's on my phone and laptop now. BUT I DON'T HAVE ITUNES, WTF?!
  22. Yeah, about time too. And with that dividend their share price will drop sharply and their market cap will be reduced significantly. That said, it's not a shit load ($2.65/share) when you consider it's the first payment since 1995. And it's not going to make anyone but major Apple shareholders rich. When shares are worth $550 each you can only buy a few so when they back back $2.65 you don't have many shares and therefore do not get rich. Microsoft have paid out $2.63/share since Q3 2008. Apple will be at $2.65/share since 1995. Apple have been able to get away with it because it's not just their customers who are blinded by SJ love, but their shareholders too.
  23. Yes it was. It reiterated what I suggested he do. He's spending $6k on rebuilding an RB 20 when for the same money he could do the same with a 25/30 or at least convert to a 25. He wouldn't have a fancy turbo hanging off the side of it, but that could come later. If poor Twavis got butthurt by a slapdash meme which was hardly scathing, I'm not sure the internet is the place for him. EDIT: And admit it, you'll lol'ed a little, didn't you.
  24. Harsh but fair. Poor widdle Twavis comes here and asks a question so I offer advice and he calls me a douchebag. I hope he spins a big end, drops a valve and snaps his timing belt.
  25. And of course insulted people who gave advice that he didn't like. Personally, the OP can go fornicate with himself and I hope his shitbox 32 spins a big end on the way home from the mechanic.
