  1. NGK Coppers. Heat range 6 and 1.1mm gap. It was pushing 11psi when it was running...badly.
  2. AFM @ 0.20V with ignition on and from memory would be up around 2.5-3V when cranking.
  3. I'm pretty sure there's fuel. There's a strong fuel smell when cranking. Plugs were dry (but I hadn't cranked with them in as I was trying them) and covered in soot. Really badly sooted up. I gave them a light sand and tried gain, but still nothing. I had considered fuel, I thought maybe it was a dead/lazy fuel pump, but I crimped the return line and it made no difference. While this isn't definitive, it does suggest fuel isn't the issue. Combine that with the plumes of fuel smoke when the problem got really bad, makes me think it's not fuel related.
  4. Hmmm...I think I have a multi meter somewhere. What should I be seeing? Pull plug out, put back into coilpack, hold against engine and crank.
  5. The car won't start. No coughing, no nearly start, nothing. I've heard coil packs failing before, and I'm not convinced that's the issue. It's similar, but the fact I have zero spark all of a sudden, across all six, kind of makes me think it's something else.
  6. All of them in one hit? I pulled three out and none of them are sparking. The car doesn't even cough when cranking so I'm pretty certain none of them are sparking.
  7. Of course I have searched. Yes, spark issues are everywhere but I've not found anything which relates directly to my issue. My theory is the CAS, but I need someone with experience to tell me if the issues suggest that. So, I have a Stag with a Neo RB25. It's a manual with Power FC, exhaust, eboost2 and that's pretty much it. I bought it and it had a slight problem. Give it the herbs and it would miss. Not a single cylinder miss, more like an R&R miss. According to the Power FC knock would climb at that point. The problem was fairly predictable and wasn't getting worse then a week or so ago I was at a mechanics and the car was idling for about five minutes. During that time it started pumping fuel clouds out the exhaust. I figured it was fueling up a bit and once it was driving again it would clear. It didn't. I drove to the shops around the corner and then home and it wouldn't take any boost or rev over about 3k rpm. I parked it and then went down 3-4 times over the next few days and fired it up so I could poke around. it would idle ok, occasionally dropping off a bit, and then on the fifth attempt it would'nt start. Now, nothing. Lots of cranking but no ignition or even coughing. I switched out AFMs, nothing. I've tried chasing every vacuum hose and plug to find something obvious, nothing. I've had a feeling all along that the CAS is the issue. But I'm not familiar with RB behavior when the CAS goes. I pulled the plugs today (what a prick of a job) and there's zero spark. I pulled three of the plugs and nothing on any of them. I switched in some brand new plugs and still nothing. So, my question is what's up? Does that sound like the CAS? If not, what else could it be? Can Power FCs play up and cause this? I've checked the monitor and sensors on the Power FC, and everything looks ok, but again I'm not coming from a position of experience with RBs, or EFI for that matter Anyone care to throw some ideas at me? Got fuel, got power, got no spark. CAS?
  8. Hey dude. Will you take $50 for the AFM, pick up? I'm in Hurstbridge so not far. If keen, will come and grab if Friday night, if you're going to be around (around 5:45-6pm? can do later if required).
  9. Whether the FPR is busted and not holding pressure up to your injectors. Crimping will increase fuel pressure to the rail if there isn't enough now.
  10. Don't quote Wikipedia as the source. Most claims on Wikipedia are also referenced in the Bibliography at the bottom of each page so if you use something, go straight to the source and have a look for yourself. Wikipedia is a gold mine for academic research, as long as it's not used as the actual source.
  11. When it was running bad it was very, very fuely. It used about 1/8th of a tank of fuel going from Hurstbridge to Diamond creek and back which is about 6ks each way. Was pumping out fuel smoke at idle.
  12. How'd you go with this issue? Sounds exactly like my car. Car was running pretty well, but missed a bit under boost. Got a little worse then the other day while sitting idling for about 5 minutes it started running very rough and would lose it's shit as soon as it started boosting (around 3k RPM). Now it refuses to start. It coughed a few times, even idled very rough for a bit but now nothing. Just crank, crank, crank, no cough, nothing. I've been trying to hunt down a vacuum leak but haven't been able to find anything. Where to next? Car is S2 RB25 (Stagea) with Power FC and Eboost2 running 11PSI. Apparently the car was runnign perfect but started running a little rough after the intercooler was changed and exhaust bolted up. I cannot find any leaks int he intercooler hoses. Any ideas?
  13. I reckon it looks fantastic. Wing extension and all. When you have a car which is that fast, you can paint it/clad it with whatever the hell you want because at the end of the day if people knock you, simply ask them what exotic supercar they drive and would they like a race. Once they respond with silence and the slinking away, you can laugh and go on enjoying your carbon clad car. Of course there are a couple of people on here who could rise to the challenge, but they are in the vast minority.
  14. Could someone please give me the low down on WGNC34127902? Cheers in advance!
  15. Wow! They are some seriously good prices. Under $100k for a Shelby GT500! Great work I've often considered doing something similar, cause local prices were plain criminal. Good on you for actually getting stuck in.
  16. Oh man, why did you have to point that out? It was like watching a train wreck. Utter nonsense, but I couldn't help but keep reading. I wanted to see just how bad it would get (and it got pretty bad). So much ignorance for such a small community. Anyway, back to reality. Absolutely insane build. I can't wait to see the end result.
  17. Why so? It might not be the most eloquent sentence, but the point he is making is completely sound.
  18. You're asking $500 more than brand new, and you think I'm stupid?

  20. Yeah, no fear. I understand that. Just wanted to give you a heads up on current prices, in case you weren't across them. Ignore Nissile, he's a cock. I was giving you a genuine bit of info, not trying to bomb your sale.
  21. Here, I got these for you:
  22. You're kidding, right? You do know that extra 200kg would be a blessing in a high wind area, right? And yes, I've driven and ridden all manner of vehicles in all manner of conditions and what you are saying is essentially garbage. If you were scared at 110kph in one car, a different car isn't going to help (unless we're comparing a Lada Niva to a well fettled R34). My old Datto 1600 only weighed 900kg, so I guess by your reckoning it would outperform your Skyline any day of the week. It's be more stable in cross winds and be more nimble. Dude, hate on Falcons/Commodores all you like, but fact is they are actually incredible cars for their design brief. They are fast, comfortable, fun, handle well and are versatile. People harp on about weight, but 1600-1800kg really isn't that far off the 1450 of a Skyline, and as for depreciation (another common criticism) it's got nothing on a Euro. Drive a $150k BMW off the lot and $40k just fell out of your pocket. 5 years later you've done $70-80k. My dad owns a 99 BMW 750iL. It is immaculate. Brand new price $272,000 - he paid $18k....Now THAT's depreciation. $245,000 in 10 years (he bought it in 2009). And again I can tell you it's friggin' schmick (less than 150,000ks on the 5.4L V12).
  23. I certainly do not hate front drivers. But there is a fundamental flaw which plagues them all and that's having the drive wheels also doing the steering. It means compromise because the forces exerted by drive and steering are quite different and not always compatible. But that doesn't mean they are rubbish, it just means they are not perfect (which I would say no car is).
