  2. $250 delivered to 3099 in Vic?
  3. I should know what's happening with my car by the end of the week. Insurance assessor should drop by tomorrow and have a look. If it's a total loss, which I'm prredicting, I will come take a look at your car, assuming you still have it.
  4. Well it is the case....in Victoria. What you have described used to exist down here but they changed the rules. I did ponder, earlier, if it was the case in NSW or QLD. It would appear it is not.
  5. He said he's happy if it has body damage so it's not that far out. I may have exactly what you are looking for. Got an assessor coming to look at mine either tomorrow or Wednesday. It's only got a light ding on the front right, as in a scrap, but it's likely to be a totaly loss. I'll hit up the insurance to hang onto it so as long as they don't want to pillage me, it might be what you're after. I'll let you know what the go is.
  6. How far off roadworthy do you reckon it is?

  8. What's your Druid's name and which guild are you in?
  9. Quoted for truth. And quoted cause I know how frustrating it is when people fly off the handle without knowing the truth and when you tell them, they totally ignore it and continue on their merry way. There is no proposed legislation to ban bullbars. The heading of this topic is false and should be changed.
  10. Being right is irrelevant. it's the responsibility of the company to make sure they know who is driving their vehicles at any time for just this reason. If they do not put in place the proper procedures to track this then the responsibility will keep climbing the ladder until A) Someone takes the blame or B) It reaches the top. IMO that's fair enough. Just like workplace safety, someone has to be held accountable and it works up until blame is apportioned. As for the BHP example, people below the CEO would be put in charge of being accountable for their fleet management. When I worked at Citywide every vehicle had a log book. Audits were done constantly and you copped a hiding if you failed to fill one out.
  11. You used to be able to do this in Vic but now if a business owned car is done by camera someone MUST be designated as the driver or the CEO of the company cops the fine and points. Dunno if they have closed that in QLD yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if they have. You should have gone on the "Prove it was me who was speeding" line. It would have likely been turfed. But you live and you learn. As silyl as it sounds, 6 months goes pretty quickly. I'll glady volunteer to come and give your car a few laps around the block to keep the cobwebs out
  12. Heh, even my wife liked that and her care for cars rivals my care for shoe shopping.
  13. That looks very clean. Promise me one thing. If you buy it, the first thing you must do, before even driving it home, is taking those stupid feking driving lights off. Seriously, who would do that to such a nice car? Idiots. Still, looks like a lovely example of a 33 GTR.
  14. Much to my disgust, i have seen P Plates driving (and owning) $60k+ cars. However I'm yet to see one in a $100k car which is what a Nur-Spec is more likely to set you back Long gone are the days of the $1000 Corona Station Wagon as a first car. I'm not jealous >_> BTW, hot car. And by hot I mean "Megan Fox and Scarlett Johansen in a girl on girl scene with Jessica Beil watching on and touching herself" hot.
  15. Why not just scruntch the money up and jam it up your own arse? That's about on par with dropping $6k on an NA 33 insofar as usefullness goes. Seriously, if you can't put up with your current car for another couple of years, you've got issues. Well, either that or a bottomless pit of money cause you'd have to be stupid to spend money on an NA 33 when the benefits of holding off for a while are so large. You know a good test to give children is to put a lolly in front of them and tell them they can have that one lolly now or they can wait until tomorrow and get 5 lollies and see what happens. 99/100 times they'll take the lolly now. They don't have the brain development to actually weight up pros and cons of taking or waiting. Maybe you have the brain of a 2 year old? Also, nanogrip, I'm not sure if you are Australian or not, but in Australia we speak British English and it's a bonnet and guards, not hood and fenders. Learn it. Hood/fenders = US English Bonnet/guards = British English.
  16. Size?
  17. I passed a bunch of you blokes in Hurstbridge. I was on a smoke blowing Blue Kwaka ZX9 and passed you just as you were going by the end of my street on the outskirts of Hurstbridge (just before the one lane bridge). Looked like a good turnout. Shame the 33 is off the road at the moment. I would have liked to add one to the numbers.
  18. That's a seriously sweet 33, but even the sweetest 33s don't fetch more than $15k.
  19. The FJs are my personal favorite, but there's no way I'd choose one over an SR these days. 10 years ago yes, but not anymore. FJs have achieved the "Rare as Hens Teeth" status which makes them a far more frustrating and expensive proposition than an SR. SRs are everywhere which means easy to get parts for and cheap. SRs are also capable of massive horsepower.
  20. ...and is considering buying the red headed stepchild of the Skyline family, a 34 GTT. Get a 33 GTR.
  21. Still awaiting on insurance. I will put in another call tomorrow.
  22. How "cheaply" depends of if you want a decent job, or a POS that'll never be right. http://www.maddat.com.au/1200.php That's a good starting point. Figure in $1000 for a fitting kit, $1500 from brake upgrade, $300 for rubbers, $1000 for fuel system, $500 + for radiator/intercooler (or $1700 for the Maddat kit), $1500 for a diff (or$2,500 for the Maddat kit). There's $6k there and you don't have the engine yet. You're going to need probably another $1000 for electrical stuff. Your trans tunnel will need significant mods. Figure in at least $700 there unless you can do it all yourself. Of course, you could do it cheaper than this by building a lot of stuff yourself, for example sourcing some R31 front struts, having them cut down, a new spring platform made up and some smaller, custom coils made. You'd probably get them for $1000 then, but in reality you'd likely need new discs and pads and both caliper rebuilt. Don't do this, and it might be $500 cheaper but your result is questionable. BTW, is it a 120 or a 1200?
  23. You could turbo the A series easy enough. Or, as one guy on Ozdat has done, get it breathing through a set of motorbike throttle bodies. Not a difficult job, goes well enough to have some fun. revs like a banshee and sounds amazing. He's running a Megasquirt and it works a treat. Not his car but A series' running quad flatslides off a bike.
  24. You do one, I'll do the other. Lemme know what you go with. Although I'm not going sparse on top so I'm not sure I'll pull off the slightly balding ponytail look properly. Might be best for me to do the red convertible and the 19yo nympho girlfriend. You do the chrome dome panytail
