  1. Why do you keep saying this? Have you had a bad experience with other brands?
  2. $25 for the boost gauge posted to 3099? If so PM me your bank deets and I'll PM you my addy. Cheers, Aaron.
  3. Coy Ill Paks. The taco jumping around is a dead give away. Get yourself some new coil packs. JJR (Just Jap Racing) coil packs are about $100 cheaper than Splitfires and have had many good reports. JJR are traders here - find them int he Classifieds section.
  4. Could also be the timing belt being a tooth out as has been suggested. I still doubt it's anything ECU related.
  5. Mmmm....sound like borked coils packs to me. I'll be surprised if it has anything to do with the ECU. Take it to a reputable speed shop and they should be able to find the problem. Where is "PATTO"? I can't for the life of me figure out which suburb you're talking about. Maybe Pattersons Lakes? If so there are plenty of shops down that way.
  6. Fookin' sweet How much did AAMI pay out for the Supra, if you don't mind me asking? Also, I ended up getting my $1850 from the RACV. I sent them a long email with some links to 180bs for sale and some info regarding their current desirability amongst rally people so they capitulated.
  7. Get This FTW! Oh wait.... Screw you Pete and Myf!!! RIP Armitage Shanks.
  8. My stereo is loud enough for a couple of cars either side
  9. Fekin' hope so. 15 years newer and 1.5L more capacity!
  10. I think you'll only catch me once your planned upgrade happens.....then I don't stand a snow balls chance in hell of keeping up. /sadfayse
  11. I think my brain just exploded as I tried to read that. THis is how it is. The coppers are well within their rights to estimate your speed and serve you an infringement notice based on what they believe. Unless you have any evidence to the contrary, ie. a GPS readout or video or Allah giving testimony on your behalf, you're done. Or you could take a chance with one of the traffic infringement specialists and hope they can find a technicality to get you off. I wouldn't bet my house on that happening. You could go to court and admit to doing 80. Again, it's your word against the police so you probably won't win, but you might luck in with a magistrate who got a root the night before and is feeling chipper.
  12. Ok, so you had evidence to the contrary, as suspected. Your fine wasn't overturned because you argued the method which to police used to book you. Unless the OP has a GPS or some other evidence to support his side of the storey, then he's done. The police testimony will win.
  13. Go to a good specialist exhaust shop and they should have Genie available. Auto-line in Greensborough does Genie stuff. I've been there a few times for assorted things and they are really, really good at what they do. I highly recommend them to my friends and family if they ask me if I know a good mechanic.
  14. No radar evidence means nothing. Police are trained to estimate speeds and it stands up in court. I would predict that you got off on a completely unrelated technicality, if indeed you're not just spinning a bullshit story in the first place. EDIT: A traffic fine specialist Solicitor - http://www.trafficlaw.com.au/speeding.fines.html
  15. Once a week!!!!! God damn. If I fill up 3 times a week it's been a cheap week.
  16. I'm lucky if I get 350ks beween fills. And then it takes around 50Ls to fill it. I'm wondering if a new o2 sensor will improve things, along with a Nistune and dyno time.
  17. Bullshit. The police do not need a radar readout. They are leagally allowed to estimate your speed.
  18. Well that's what I've been alluding to the entire thread. You could reasonably extrapolate that out to mean if they can do 250 cars + associates for $30 then they should be able to do 70-80 cars + associates for around $120 to $150.
  19. Well if there were 457 cars there then a day with even 200 would be great. I'm still not sure I believe it. I think maybe 457 people, including spectators, but either way, in relative terms, halve the number of cars and double the price and it'd be a cracking day.
  20. I agree. Painting them all with one "filthy junkie" brush is pure ignorance. We don't know each individuals circumstance so cannot reliably gauge what they are and what they are not.
  21. Only if they don't declare it. And how is a copper to know if the dude has or has not declared his income? Of course he wouldn't but a copper is not allowed to use assumption as a form of evidence. He's also not an enforcer of taxation laws unless he's with the AFP.
  22. Posting from my phone FTW! Stupid auto text.
  23. So you're taking that number from what the organiser said during the briefing? And how would he actually know seeing as only half the cars had been through scrutineering at that stage and probably only 1/4 of the people had actually paid up. There's no way there was 750 people standing at the briefing. I'd say 300 tops and every third car had one or two hangers on. It sounds to me like a bit of an arbitrary figure to try and scare the noobs (myself included) into following instructions and being careful. 457 sure sounds like a lot so we'd better listen to every word he's saying! It probably worked too. I still doubt there were 457 cars there.
  24. Within reason and as per the rules of the day. If the rules of the day say no drifting, then you will get upped if you're ripping the handbrake into every turn and keeping it pinned in third sideways. A bit of tail out is fine, but drifting is not. So on and so forth. At the Fun Day they told you what was and what wasn't allowed. From there it's pure common sense as to what you think you should and shouldn't do.
