  1. Would the RACV check do the job? I think they have a more expensive option to put it up on a hoist.
  2. I think I will get the last 1 and it has the same dash as the 2001 without the LCD sticking. But thats not the reason like this one better. Cheaper, Color, 10k less Kms, Rims.
  3. Damn, I didn't read your post Chris and put a $250 deposit on the 3rd Subject to a RACV and Finance. So I didn't check the seatbelts I bought it from a dude called Shui @ the former Kamakazi Motors. I will post some pics soon as I get damn bluetooth working. It seemed what I was looking for at the more right price...
  4. Also there is this one , I am really excited about this one as its from a dealer 'Kamakaze Motors' http://firesport.com.au/2001-v35-skyline-c...s--ad142733.htm
  5. Hi Chris, As per our phone conversation here are the 2 links of 2 cars I am interested in :- http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...35&trecs=36 The link above is the 2001 model which the LCD sticks and you need to tap the side of the unit to get the LCD up. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...35&trecs=36 The link above is the 2004 which I am unsure if it has the LCD screen at all, also I am unsure if it is the 4 or 5 speed. Let me know what you think ? Thanks
  6. I'm in Melbourne and I don't really want to do any of this DIY. What I meant by 'stages' was I would like yourself or someone you recommend to install the complete setup in say 2 sessions so I may split the cost if its reasonable.
  7. Hi All, About to purchase a V35 but the Pop-up LCD sticks when you try to raise the screen. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and was it a major job to finish. I know its not a biggy especially as I won't have the LCD operational for a little while but everything else on this car I like and if I can fix this issue easily, I would like to make the purchase
  8. Chris, Would you send me some info on how I may complete what I want in a couple of stages so I don't have a huge outlay straight off eg. TV tuner & FM Band Expander first then the Nav install and Conversion when I have a bit more cash. You would be the one to know if its not worth the extra labour fee in having youself or somebody you recommend do 2 installs ? Thanks
  9. No disrespect Chris, will call you tomorrow. I am only trying to complete what I want (Radio,TV,Sat Nav) In a couple of stages so I can spread out the cost......
  10. I'm getting confused aswell , Were some later models say 2004 equipped with 5-Speed Auto's ? http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=124BC28C7B27 Or do these guys not know what they are talking about and how am I able to tell with a 4 minute test drive ( Just got my licence back so I will be in the passenger ) ?
  11. All the cars I am looking at have the Bose setup so I am more than likely going to have to take the 'FM Band Expander' option. So roughly a FM Band Expander that has 10 & 20 mhz step down will cost me $60 - $80, How much do you think for the install ? I'm just trying to plan out in what order I am going to do this as it will be a little too much for me to have it all done at once. I probably will get the FM Band Expander and the Aus TV Tuner done first as I could probably get the installer do this at the one time. Jap to English Software - performed by you = $180 FM Band Expander $60 - $80. Asuka TV Tuner including antennas- $290 Adapting Leads from Chris - ? Installation of the Base Expander and Tv Tuner - ? ( I am hoping to have the above completed for around $750, let me know if you think different? ) I would then like to have a set of RCA's come up through to underneath the passengers seat to an RCA splitter with a switch or even 2 sets of RCA's as I believe the Asuka has 2 Aux inputs, so that I could plug in a cheap Sat Nav and a cheap DVD Player (with allows output into NTSC as I believe I need to use the factory screen) . ( I know this will be a bit messy and a bit of a pain to operate but it will get the jobs done untill, I can afford a Chris Rogers Sat Nav conversion ) Please let me know , what you think of my plan ? Also I cannot see why the complete conversion/install for TV/Sat Nav is around $3000 as I think I may have seen Chris mentioned, not doubting him as I think he is great but I must be leaving out something unless the navigation is the really tricky bit and costs over $2000 to convert/install + parts ? Thanks
  12. What about listening to Australian Radio Stations ? Are you just using the Aus Tv Tuner or do you have some sort of Aus Adapter ? Thanks you have been great
  13. Thanks for the link , Sorry I am unable to send a PM as I am new. When do you need payment for 1 of these units ? Any idea how much the leads cost through Chris Rogers and does that include the additional relay to power the antenna amplifiers ? Cheers
  14. So how does the TV Remote control send a signal to the Aus TV Tuner in the boot ? Are you able to send me pictures of where the Aus TV Tuner and the Garmin Sat Nav sit in your car ? Thanks
  15. Do you control the Aus TV tuner the same way as if you the Jap ie: through the original controls ? And how about the navigation unit I assume that is the glove box so the remote can send it a frequency ? Is it possible to plug a DVD Player & alternative Nav (which allows output display and audio) into Aux inputs on the Aus TV tuner if they have any ? I assume the factory V35's TV has only 1 aux. Sorry if some of my questions seem stupid...
  16. Hey Chook, I am very interested in purchasing a unit from you with antennas. I am just purchasing the car this week. But what do I need to do to get this working ? I am not the greatest when it comes to car audio but I have some mates that know a little, so if its kind of straight forward ie: similar to Aus car media setup, they could probably help me out. Does anybody know whats the rough price on getting a Garmin or similar Navigation unit working on the existing screen ? As I have it software to change menus into English = $180 Asuka Digital TV Tuner with Antennas = $290 ( I believe this is SD is there a HD option, would it be worth it ? ) Installation of TV Tuner = ? Garmin Navigation Unit = ? Installation of Navigation System = ? English Control Buttons = ? If anyone could help me fill in the gaps above , I would be greatly appreciated , Sorry to sound tight but its been a big month...
  17. Hi Rianto, About pickup a V35 shortly not sure if it will be a 2001 or a 2004. My eyes are now burning with the amount of reading I have done rearding the TV & Nav conversions, It looks like though you boys have figured it out, Great Work ! Just wondering on the cost involved a little confused, I read somewhere that it costs $200 to convert the Menus into English, $180 if you are a SAU member, Is this only for the labour ? Also I am assuming that conversion of the Nav and TV is not included in this price, How much to convert these aswell, also the price for the parts I will need (eg. Aus Digital TV Tuner, Aus Sat Nav etc.) I would like to have everything converted together if my budget allows. Good job o the Youtube Videos and looking forward to your reply. Happy New Year and its looking like a Good Year !
