Would a afm that is playing up make a car hard to start? Would it make the revs strugle to build to idle?

Just maken sure it's series 2? What plug is on it? Mine is a 3 plug wire that goes to the afm

What condition is it in? Why are you changen it? I'm after one in perfect condition

Sorry to ask but i am very confused after reading about spark plugs! I have a r32 with rb25det with basic mods fmic fuel pump full 3inch xforce exhaust and hi low boost control 7 and 10 psi I drive around mainly 7 psi but do use 10 psi every now and again! I am getting new yellow jacket coils and want to change spark plugs, but what should I get?? Thanks

thanks muff i will try anything is there a way to check voltage with a multimeter for the afm? im waiting on new coil packs i will check and change plugs when i get the new coils and for the fuel i use the same fuel from the same place everytime i fill up

Y'day after work went to start my car after is had been sitting for 8 hours, I turned the key it started but is strugled to build revs to idle (900rpm) the rpm's went up in stages 200rpm 500rpm then finally when i touched the accelarater it went up to 900rpm? i thought oil pressure? or something to do with cold start? the only thing i touched was the afm all i did to that was make sure the plug was in properly i have another question aswell, i think my afm is playing up my car just doesn't feel the same since last fri nite when i had a major boost cut, it was like a hit a wall then i took my foot off the accelerater abit it started to boost again! now it feels different, could it be in some kind of limp mode? it still revs past 3000rpm just feels a bit slower is there a way to check the afm is working 100%? with afm do they either work or not work? or can they still work at only 50% if that make sense thanks

ok ok very confused after reading all that! i have brought new coil packs, and i want to change the plugs at the same time and the coils! my car is r32 with rb25det s2 simple mods fmic, fuel pump, full 3inch exhaust and a hi low boost control 7 and 10psi i drive mainly on 7psi! what plugs and what gap? thanks

What is the max for the stock AFM? on 10psi i have 185.9rwkw?

do you mean getting a Z32 afm? i do plan on getting nistune in the near future

It's kinda like I hit a wall, it's 10Psi I have a dyno run which has boost pressure on it!

I'm thinken nistune, in a few months! Would new coil packs help? What are coil packs worth? Are the yellow jacket ones on eBay any good?

It was cold lastnite, I havnt driven on hi boost on a cold night before!

Cheers mate, I will go for a drive later and check all those things! One thing I do know it didn't run rough it just paused then I lifted my foot then it started boosting again as soon as it paused I lifted my foot, I didn't give it a chance to miss and muck around!

already done the aac, the valley is dirty and greasy so i guess the coils are too

Is there a diy on cleaning coil packs? I was told to clean them with co contack cleaner, but I do know what part to clean? And do the coil packs come apart some how? I mean do the boots come off some how? Cheers

i don't have a cooling issue, the CF does look good but if it will attract defects it not worth it!
