  1. Hi there all, After doing a search and not finding much info i have this little question for you all. My car is a r33 s2 gtst and i am currently getting the motor rebuilt. Existing Mods are blitz fmic, walbro fuel pump with relay mod, 600 cc injectors, z32 afm , toshi remap for 12psi with emanage ultimate to cater for injectors and z32 afm and oil catch can. I than upgraded the factory turbo to a hypergear atr43g3 with the intention of removing the toshi chip and getting the emanage tuned.......Unfortunatley this never happened as i had boost issues with the turbo only making 10 psi than dropping off to 0. ( turned out it was the air intake sucking shut ) I found this out by putting the afm directly to the turbo and taking it for a spin. NOW here is the really stupid part. I than reinstalled the boost controller ( spring type) and didnt bother checking if it had been adjusted and the car hit 22psi and breaking my rings. Since then i am getting it rebuilt with metal head gasket, adjustable came gears, arp head stud kit, arc race series bearings, performance valve springs and retainers and getting the stall converter changed to lock at 2800rpm. My question is once the motor has been rebuilt what should i do about running it in? Should i just use the factory ecu with the emanage to keep the afm and injectors working and not put the car on boost at all and than get it put on a safe tune after a few kilometers? I am really at a bit of a lose since my stupidness has cost me so much already and dont want to further hurt my motor. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated ( also the closet dyno is over 2 hours away)
  2. Hi there, Front lip has been sold. I still have the gtr front bumper ( genuine ) injectors , turbo, bonnet etc I am only 2.5 hours from brisbane and can get gear done there if needed.
  3. Dont stress the instructions dont say anything either. are u sure both wires are black from memory i thought one wire had tiny writing on it while the other didnt. If this was the case than writing wire would be + and just black - also it should not matter on a simple 12 volt coil ( care of Principles and Practice of Electrical Engineering by Alexander Gray ) If the current in the solenoid is now reversed, the magnetic field of the solenoid will reverse but, since the induced polarity of the plungers will also reverse, the direction of the pull on the plungers will be unchanged.

  6. Hi there, By the looks u may have a power steering leak and also most car wont make proper boost unless load is applied ( driving ) well thats my 2 cents cheers

  12. Looking into hyper gear threads this power is achievable with the turbo that i have mentioned at that boost. Also i did mention using a built auto ( shift kit ) etc with the stall etc. so anyone commenting please read the whole thread
  13. Its a hypergear atr43g3 turbo and i am thinking of getting a stage 2 shift kit for it as well. Thanks for the input after looking on the net and around i think stock cams may be the best idea.
  14. Hi ive stuffed my engine and gettingi it rebuilt. Am using metal head gasket , forged pistons, 660 injectors, fuel reg bigger turbo that starts making 0 psi at about 3 and full boost by about 4000 rpm. I am also getting new valve springs, cam gears etc. I am also planning on using a stallie for my car that locks at about 2800rpm. and was wondering could i get a lower rpm stallie and better set of cams to give me a bit more mid range torque? if so what type? I have looked at the tomei but they dont seem to suit my needs any ideas thanks ? by the way im aiming at about 280-300 kilowatts at the wheels. this turbo can get that at around 18 psi

  20. hi i just replaced the afm and cleaned spark plugs with some cleaner and my bbq car than started did hunt a little but followed acc cable to throttle body were it was lose i also noticed the spring didnt go all the way back so i adjusted it best i could seems to be running alot better i think plugs fouled up and just got worse and worse till they wouyldnt run anymore well hoping anyways i have not taken it for a drive yet asi had a beer while working on it so im not going to risk driving also most roads have been blocked off so no tune yet but atleast they open now

  22. I reinstalled the z32 afm and the car is running again but still very rough. It also seems to chewing the fuel as well i have a done a vac test around the engine bay and it doesnot affect it at all. I really hoping it something easy but im dreading it the engine
  23. yesterday my mate took my car for a spin and about halfway through the drive i noticed the car was having a problem down low. Once i got home the car was hunting at idle. I than disconnected the battery for the night and also tested the coils this morning and pulled out my plugs which were very carboned up. I than cleaned the plugs and also did a compression test with ok results and than put it all back together. I than started the car with no difference whats so ever. I also replaced my z32 afm and recaled my emu to standard. I should note i cleaned out my aat valve about 2 weeks ago and was running fine. I than started the car and noticed idle was slightly better but not by much at all. I than took it for a drive were the car seemed to have issues going over 2000rpm. i than got it home and put some octane boost clean in the vehicle as we have had alot of water around and there has been rumours about water getting into fuel. I than let the car idle for about 30 minutes and found that the car became more responsive untill i went to go for a drive and found it would not accelerate at all. I managed to get it home and left the car sit for about an hour Now it wont even start it will fire up but than die. Any help for be very grateful.Thanks
  24. Yes it is 4 inch inlet, The car was making boost and than dropping to zero. I than removed air intake and car was fine. I bought the turbo as it said Direct bolt on fitment ...after i got it i found out that intake dont bolt on it has to be modded but that was me not fully checking it out also my water lines could not bolt on i had to modify them as well i suppose that i was rather oblivious to what had to be done but least its done now and i want it to be set up the best
