  4. sounds like it "could "be as simple asthe syncro's ,which help the gears engage smoothly, when shifting..id take it to a good gearbox specialist and get them to give it a look.If they know about skyline boxes it would be good.....
  5. My brake light is on the window tinting and ive never had a problem,,no peeling or anything,, so i would either just put it back on or take it back to them and TELL tham ur unhappy and would like the light put back on,,,dont take any crap from them...your the customer(always right),,if they dont like it ,,give em a peice of your mind....thats what i would do....gd luck bro....
  6. check out the info in TUTORIALS/DIY/FAQ theres heaps of info..do a search on- timing -
  7. if they dont fit ,either do what errno said and do some fibreglass work to fix them or just f*ck them off ,and get some that do fit,, u can not heat and shape fibreglass at all,it wont happen,,gd luck bro..
  8. you can do anything if u really want 2...I know that a Workshop in the states (usa) has installed all of the GTR running gear into a Silvia..so now they have whats essentially an all wheel drive Silvia, thats pretty much what ur talking about..
  9. i have a Quick release boss kit for my steering wheel (almost definately illegal), id like to see someone steal my car in a hurry, freakin near on impossible, unless they bring 1 with them,,,
  10. hey Jono, since your rebuilding the lot why not get an aftermarket LIGHTENED FLYWHEEL,far better for engine response......just a thought....craig
  11. hey champ if you want 4wheel drive you should just buy a GTR(4wd) instead of buying a GTT(2wd),,, it be alot WISER and probably cheeper. do yourself a bit of research!!!
  12. Just give them a call mate ,,easyest way and then youll know whats going on..........
  13. hey mate that looks really good,.Im pretty sure in W.A that would be a defect issue,,looks gd but, nice job,,,
  14. i got mine from a GTR that was wrecked, wreckers, for sale/wrecking in newspapers,,Quokka,,, places like that worth a try
  15. yeah same redo them in the BRONZE, theyll look sick -i like the look of black aswell but not sure how it would look against the silver....whatever u do im sure itll look great..gd luck bro..
  16. thats tricky hey,,have u tried any thinners or any thing like that ?
  17. yeah i havent seen your car or the color but if KLO looks too light in color then i would say YES use the GV5 as a base coat color and put the KLO over the top,no clear, it should end up a matt/satin finish....Michael why dont you want a gloss finish, it would look alot better and be easier to keep clean, just a thought,,,,,,
  18. hey man i just watched that link,, why is that blowoff valve sucking/blowing air,, it must be faulty hey....?
  19. Michael,it sounds to me like GV5 is the base coat/ and then the color is KLO- silver or silver crystal, which would give u the darker silver color u have ???
  20. yeah i know what you mean about putting paint on too thick,,you gotta wait for each coat to be tacky but not stingy before the next coat,,like u said it comes down to patients,,polishing clear is like polishing plastic u need to get a little heat into it when polishing, thats what brings up the shine...
  21. hey man do u use clear over the color, u should ,at least 3 coats,.i use 2 pak always, it is harder wearing and easier to get a really gd shine straight off the gun..if ur gd enough u dont need to polish it but it also can help to add a little extra thinners in the last coat ,it helps with flowout..if u need 2 polish ,i do it like this,,,wash ur paint fist to remove any dust and shit like that, then carefully with 2000grit or finer wet n dry paper sand back to remove what they call orange peel , wso the paint is smooth-being careful not 2 sand thru on any high spots/ribs etc, then i personally use a electric buffer with Meguiars SOLO cut n polish cream 2 bring up an awesome shine ,and then i use Meguiars show car glaze to finish off-again with the buffer,,,,... clean paint again and chamois dry.......any help....
  22. who tuned the car man , maybe the timing is way out //?
  23. No probs let us know what happens, gd luck
  24. yeah that is definatly a possibility,,you do need to take that into account before u do pump it up,,,,
