  1. Karen, when you say extremely close meaning they're not exactly the same as the one i've got now?? Meaning I've got to buy 2??

  3. if insurance is ur main concern, stay away from imports.
  4. did u shave it for him?
  5. Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't new tyres part of the compliance process?? If this is a freshly complianced car it should come with brand spanking new tyres! After reading tht whole list of defects, however minor it may be tells me its done a fair bit more kms than stated. Regardless how minor or easy it is to fix, you don't want to be spending any $$ on repairs after you have just shelled out 28k for a car? As others have said, walk away and don't rush it...especially when its an interstate purchase. Purchased mine in 2005, 99 model with 36,000ks on it...seemed genuine...and up till today, the only thing tht has failed on it was a faulty o2 sensor...*touch wood*
  6. very nice and neat setup! I'm wondering though if there is any loss in power with this kind of setup? Noise levels would probably be over the legal DB limit too?
  7. Rust on the strut brace/tower might be an issue. I know of an R34 that was imported into AUS and ended up not being able to be complied and registered because of rust on the strut tower. Has this one been complied and registered yet?
  8. Thx Sewid, thts exactly what I wanted to know. These genuine MFDs are going for around 70,000yen on yahoo auctions..with the casing as well...

  11. Bad luck Mel Time to cut down on those mountain runs and cruises! More time to save up for your RB26
  12. Not too bad lookin...I'd personally go for the brushed aluminium look one...how long did it take to land from the UK?
  13. like any other forum in whatever country, there are always scammers out there looking to make a quick buck, SAU included. If you believe you are genuinely making a savings even after postage costs, then the only advice I can give you is "buyer beware". It is still possible to report a scammer who is local to the authorities and in rare cases get your $$ back. Good luck trying to chase down one if he's in the UK and u r in OZ.
  14. Tein Super Streets for the ER34 are the same fit for coupe and sedan. Only difference is Jap Spec and Aus Spec Super Streets. They both have identical spring rates 5K fronts, 4K rears. The Aus spec ones are revalved for OZ roads apparently. I have the Jap spec ones and so do a few others with 34s on here and they are firm but still comfortable and IMO are as close to stock suspension comfort as you will get with a coilover.
  15. cool thx! spotted u in the van after i left bruce's shop...on sandgate rd 1:30pm..

  18. So the MFD actually fits straight in to where the 3 gauges are on the GTT? No modifications needed? So meaning after the install it will basically look as if it was meant to be there?
  19. take a drive to battery traders on Moss St, Slacks creek. They will be able to recommend a suitable one based on the one you currently have. Budget around $100 for a half decent one. Cheaper ones are available too.
  20. hmmmm very interesting! Could you post the link to the seller and also pics when you have completed the install? Cheers!
