  1. I used really strong double sided tape and a bit of sikaflex...tried to remove it just before and literally couldn't for fear of breaking it...I could even lift the bonnet jst by holding the bonnet lip (not recommended) It most likely won't drop...but i figure if ur gonna screw it on for fear of people stealing it...if they wanna steal it they'd probably break it in the process and leave you with a bonnet full of holes... I installed a 2nd set tonite for another 34...will let u know if it falls off
  2. i tried the WD40 trick as well and it worked a treat! spray it all over ur springs and report back...no harm trying before u start pulling everything apart.
  3. spotted col's banana bender at HN aspley...was gonna come over and say hi but u were bz with a customer

    Sau Qld Calendar 2007

I nominate we have an R34 month group shot....couple of us posers are definately in
  6. painted n fitted! heaps of double sided tape + a bit of sikaflex..very firm. Love it or hate it...I think its different and looks great! Thx Stan!
  7. how low do u want to go? There's nothing wrong with the coilovers, ur application is probably wrong. For ur purposes of dumping it way below optimal height, you would have been better off getting super low king springs.. I have the super streets and they have a preset window of optimal height adjustments up or down...outside that, there's really no point.
  8. Hey darrin, Thts a good score! Mind if I ask how/who you go through to bid and ship them back? I've been using ns.com sponsors and they generally slap on an additional 1K for customs, tax, fees and freight...which would have put ur set of wheels at around 2k landed...u can PM me if you want. Cheers, Jon
  9. i can't find it either...jst post the link
  10. 2nd hand ones are few and far apart...u could also look at apexi super megaphone (few of us 34 owners have it) and its super quiet...or the fujitsubo legalis which is one of the quieter ones as well..
  11. motorman imports in springwood...ask for paul.
  12. Its far from being GTR offset...+40 more suited to GTSTs etc...
  13. can anyone tht has received pics jst post it
  14. Mine didn't have this problem and I lowered it a fair bit...but mine was a 2.5" system as opposed to a 3" the bigger mid muffler is probably whts scraping and also the reason for it not droning.
  15. a custom copy IMO just wouldn't be the same and I can almost guarantee it will be louder than the genuine item..
  16. had one on my silvia before, very nice sounding exhaust without being LOUD and DRONEY. Had a nice shaped muffler too unlike ur usual cannon types which every tom dick and harry has nowadays.
  17. the best swap I ever did was my 1991 CA18DE Silvia with some dudes 1990 U13 AWD Atessa bluebird with SR20DET, FMIC, exhaust and custom paint...it was a straight swap.....now THAT was a good swap
  18. Would these be a solution? Bee*R Pineapple bush
  19. if u can prove the painter broke the bar and skirts u might have a leg to stand on... thats bloody dodgy....consumer affairs, fair trading, current affair...jst throw some of these names in the air and see if he's willing to pay for the damages...
  20. the 300zx + 10K cash on top should make it pretty even trade with ur 33
  21. I see u've also asked the opinion from NS.com... Its general concensus if you swap ur a bloody idiot j/ks
  22. you'd be downgrading in my opinion....the 300 is older, has more K's and because of tht the posibility of major repairs coming up. You've spent almost as much on ur 33 as the asking price of the 300zx...tht should convince you you're probably holding on to the better end of the bargain.
  23. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search A turbo timer is a device designed to keep an automotive engine running for a pre-specified period of time in order to automatically execute the cool-down period required to prevent premature turbo wear and failure. After a period of driving when a turbocharger has been working hard, it is important to let the engine run at idle speed for a period of time, allowing the compressor assembly to run down in speed and cool from the lower gas temperatures in both the exhaust and intake tracts. At the same time the lubricating oil from the engine is able to circulate properly so the turbine won't burn the lubricating oil that would otherwise be trapped within the charger with the turbine rotating at high speed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbo_timer
