  1. Any pics mate? U would have had to roll ur guards??
  2. I"ve got 17x7 +45 shadow chrome factory V35 wheels if ur interested.
  3. Noel, Once you sort out all your crap come and see me and I'll sort you out in the wheels department
  4. I've had 2 sets of Falken FK452s on my R34 and absolutely love it as well. I'm getting new tyres for the V35 tommorow and have been recommended the new model Sumitomo HTR Z III which are made in Japan. Done a bit of research on the net and have found some good reviews on it so I'll give that a go and report back. Incidently they are priced very similar to the FK452s as well so I thought I'd give the Sumis a go. http://www.sumitomotire.com/HTRZIII/default.asp
  5. Penny, Is yours a coupe or sedan? If it is a coupe, I know of a front bumper and rear bumper available if you need a replacement in Brisbane. Its in factory black. Post a pic of your car if you can.
  6. Doesn't scrape on anything during everyday driving...except while reversing out of my driveway from hell...scrapes the black piece of plastic under the front bar slightly...anyone know how to remove this?
  7. Here are the before and after pics. Z suspension lowered the car approx 1" all round. Ride comfort remains the same + less body roll, overall handling has improved. No complaints overall. I definately recommend it. Tried and tested method from the guys in the US. Before: After:
  8. Looks good...is that on stock suspension still? Keep the sedan pics coming!
  9. Whatabout option D: Drop in a 5 spd auto from a 350z? Might be cheaper than a manual conversion?
  10. There's not really a hard and fast rule on which combo is better. Yes the Tein S Techs are a common upgrade for the V35. I chose the Z suspension because it was available then and there, cheaper and also it was a matching shock and spring combo. Read here for the different spring rates of various springs available: http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65190
  11. Chris, Does your scantool reset ecus?
  12. The factory tokico shocks came out from my car. The Z suspension I bought from a workshop here in Brissie who recently fitted a customers Z with coilovers. So I guess they are factory then...
  13. Pretty sure the chrome trim is factory standard. As for bodykit...the only thing I am looking at adding is the OEM front lip and also possibly an M3 lip spoiler on the bootlid. I way ahead of you Took my drivers side one off yesterday and spent about 2 hrs trying to get all the residue off! Another 3 more to do..I also took the chrome side door protectors off over the weekend...that also took me quite a while to get the sticky stuff off I got it from a workshop who recently fitted a set of coilovers to a 350z. Try looking in the 350z-tech forums under aussie classifieds. The wreckers may be a good place to search as well. If you can get a full set of suspension in good condition is definately a worthwhile suspension mod...
  14. would you sell the wheels without tyres? The tyre profiles are not correct for my car.. Also have a set of black SSR professors if you want to swap 18x8.5 +35 18x9.5 +35 With Falken tyres between 10-40% thread left.
  15. its like wearing an armani suit and shopping for your shirt and tie at lowes
  16. Hey Geoff, fancy seeing u here I kicked myself because I forgot to take measurements of before. According to G35 driver, its supposed to lower approx 1" all round and this looks about right. Just enough to look a whole lot better and not degrading comfort or handling. Taking the after measurements from center of wheel to guard they are 360mm Rear, 370 Fronts. Refer to my "V35" thread for before and after pics on the last page. A set of 350z anniversary wheels will be going on shortly just as soon as I can price a good set of tyres.
  17. Shocks and springs went straight in. Had less Ks than my stockies and the fact they were a matching shock and spring combo...so what the hell
  18. I just pulled my factory suspension out last week to install the Z suspension and on close inspection, the factory shocks had NISSAN and Tokico printed on them. I know Tokico make aftermarket shocks for the V35 so just wondering if these are factory standard or aftermarket? The shocks and springs are black in color..nothing to suggest its aftermarket except for the wordings. Anyone have any idea?
  19. Still for sale! Price negotiable.
  20. The sedans as we know are not as lucky as the coupe to be able to fit low offset wheels similar to the 350z. A forum member in the US has given me hope! http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219452 He was able to fit 19x9 +26 and 19x10 +26 with only a 1" drop and lipping the inner guards. So over the weekend I chucked my SSRs on the rear of my sedan to see for myself. The wheel was 18x9.5 +35 These were on my 34 previously fitted with 265/35/18 tyres. Please ignore the huge gap between guards and tyres because the profile is not suited to the V35. I reckon with a 245/45 or 40 and guard lipping I should be able to pull it off! Attached is the sedan offset chart for those who haven't seen it. Based on the above G35 driver offsets, looks like there is a little bit more room to play with once the car is lowered. I have made an adjustment to the supposedly extra room based on the above 19x9 +26 and 19x10 +26 . If anyone has successfully squeezed an aggresive offset wheel under the sedan guards please post specs and pics. Cheers.
  21. 350k to a full tank or thereabouts is pretty bad! I get more than 600kms with everyday driving...I recently travelled to the Hunter Valley in NSW from Brisbane...travelled 800kms on one full tank with 10Ls to go when I filled up but that was mostly highway driving.
  22. The car as it is looks a bit out of whack, purely due to the lack of sideskirts and also lowering..the wheels look ok but personally, if I have a 60k car I would have spent an additional 2-3k on some decent forged jap wheels...these wheels are a bit of a downgrade from your factory ones IMO.
  23. Say hi to V-SPOT for me will ya For those of you who frequent G35driver you will know where I got this from... Lowered 1" all round with a set of 350z struts and springs Before: After fitting Z suspension: The Z suspension has made for a slightly firmer ride while maintaining comfort...body roll has been greatly diminished...feels great! Cheapest suspension mod I've done by far on any of my cars..Now does anyone know how to remove that damn piece of black plastic bumper protector just below the front bar? Its scraping everytime I roll out of my driveway. Wheels next...watch this space
  24. Having MOMO stuff is fine IMO. The newer R34s, Stageas and V35s actually have an optional momo shifter and steering wheel as well. I don't see anything wrong with that. My brothers Evo9 comes with a MOMO factory steering wheel.
