  1. Yup, sounds like ur alternator is on its way out... Mine died few mths back on the 34...don't ignore the symptoms like I did...car completely shut down one day...lucky it wasn't on a busy street... Get it replaced or reco-ed by an auto elec quick smart!
  2. Sorry, not at this point in time. I currently have a few interested parties already considering taking the wheels close to the advertised price. First in with the $$ gets it! Remember, you snooze you lose!
  3. I had the same problem as well and it was due to me going from a 225/40 18 tyre to a 235/40 18 at the fronts...effectively increasing my overall diameter by 8mm. When I had 225/40 with the same coilover and same height...no scrubbing at all....swap over to 235/40 and it started rubbing the inner plastic guard. Only scrubs the drivers side inner plastic guard when on full lock going up my driveway and sometimes hard cornering. Also, the more I lowered it the more excessive it would rub, I finally raised it up slightly which decreased it a bit... not much you can do, I've gotten used to it...best bet is to remove the plastic inner guard if you want...or raise your car slightly to see if it still rubs as much..
  4. Wheels now have the SSR stickers on them

  14. 40 and 35 are a % of your tyre width, not a set measurement...as your tyre width increases, to maintain overall diameter, the % decreases.. Use this calculator to determine: http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp Actually...265/35 would be a closer match to your 245/40. Least difference in diameter..
  15. You need 255/35/18 to maintain rolling diameter...

  21. Hey mate, I was in a similar situation few mths ago when my 34 alternator completely gave up...a brand new alternator from Nissan was $1100AUD ex Japan. I took it to my Mech (Evolution Automotive at Eight Mile Plains) and they got it reconditioned with new internals and a 12 mth warranty. Definately get it reco'ed...don't take a chance with 2nd hand ones as you will more than likely be back to square one later on.
