  1. You can pick up a VQ25DET on YAJ for ~$2k, might be worth shooting Jesse or IM an email. Hell, theres on on there for 50k Yen - who knows on what condition its in. Having said all that, I also have nfi what shipping prices/times are like. Definitely an avenue worth chasing when $4.7k is the alternative.
  2. 10, actually
  3. Its a fast and furious reference
  4. Too easy.
  5. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=498369 They should have at least 1, possibly 2. Let us know how you go, I wanted a couple of random interior panels from them months ago but they didnt want to strip the interior as they were still driving the thing around for deliveries
  6. If you want a halfcut, Nisswreck has been wanting to offload one for ages! Should make interior parts avaliable too! I know they can be a pain to deal with though and WTF did he do!
  7. No doubt, you obliterated my 100km trek back home! Still dont know how you managed that!
  8. Its only in the way of youre face if youre a left eye shooter, and even then - theres a 2nd wheel near the trigger button the the 5D and 7D that will do the same thing as the rear wheel 90% of the time. Im not sure whats hidden in 'menus' that youd want to access with the quickness.. Everything I want to fiddle with (Shutter speed, aperature, iso, AF method, metering, white balance, shooting mode) is on the Q screen which is pretty damn quick? Half the items I mentioned also have dedicated buttons on the 7D (AF, Iso, WB) To say I think Ive made the right choice me would be accurate
  9. Crank it till it starts, put put along at 2200rpm till you make it back to home? First time I killed my AFM I'd been on some dusty roads not too long prior to it letting go also incidentally.
  10. 7D with a 70-200 L feels like a fairly 'right' decision to me
  11. Additional spontaneous zoom ftw
  12. Ive seen Noise Ninja do some fairly amazing things. Smart software. If Nick has a crop body & his lens was at 200mm then even the 580 wouldnt help - as he'd technically be at 320mm. Ive never shot with a monopod, but under those sort of circumstances it might work well..?
  13. To be fair, chances are your flash wouldnt have been able to throw sufficient light to assist you here any how Maxed out your usable ISO range already? Very much a rock and a hard place situation if you had
  14. How you managed to forget that you have that I'll never know.
  15. I have seen a couple of full cars around that were destined to be wrecked/parted out - Im pretty sure they wanted to do halfcuts with the engine before stripping the cars though. Id have a look for sellers on Ebay that have random interior components, and then touch base with them to see if they have the rest of the car to part out.
  16. I've got a mate in Melbourne that owns a couple of tyre powers, basically his recommendation for me/us was Anyone looked at this option?
  17. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/297345-m35-factory-boost-gauge-repair/page__view__findpost__p__4950782
  18. Could try http://speedhunters.com/media/ some ~1500 images, unfortunately most of them max out out at 1600x1200
  19. I wouldnt say the quality is dubious, its a really solidly constructed unit. The dubiousness would be the effectiveness it has on the restriction that needs to be removed. It only replaces the black plastic bit between the AFM and the rest of the intake.. obvious the AFM housing is in this photo (not mine) but it illustrates it fairly well. Car is boxed into the garage and I cant be bothered moving stuff off the driveway I didnt bother taking any photos of it out of the car, it looks identical (+ engine dirt) to the photos on Dolphins website.. you can see exactly how it mounts up based on the kink compared to the stock plastic unit
  20. Fitted the Dolphin intake, may have to eventually get some new silicone joiners- my engine bay is a mismatch of blue, black and green now!
  21. Today, Red C34, plates "Red 115" In Goolwa this afternoon, and then two silver C34's on Glen Osmond rode at about 2:30 (they were separated by about 4 cars) - both looked really nice Yesterday evening a Silver C34 with R34 GTR wheels coming out onto Kensington Rd beside the BP. Good note on that thing.
  22. As Dale once said.. I thought you said you'd sussed it out already
  23. Oops? Did you see the flash? Our speedos are notoriously overzealous
  24. I'll see if I can track it down
