  1. Got back from the UK today, after getting the RAA to jump my car (battery went flat as a tack) I went down to my local telstra dealer and picked up a Galaxy S II. I was using a Milestone before this, and damn - its a big step up.
  2. Correct, George ripped out my Jap-spec alarm/immobiliser, and fitted a new unit. It has a little fob, and Ive had new keys cut that dont have any buttons - so no unnecessary bulk. I should be back on Thursday/Friday if you wanted to check it out
  3. And arguably one of the best tuners in Australia, looking forward to getting him to have a stab at the M35 over the coming months
  4. Lots of go-go, not much stop-stop. Id look at some brake upgrades
  5. If you browse IM whilst drunk it becomes a lot easier to justify
  6. My EOFY presents to myself just arrived! They need a little bit of a polish, theres some super light scuffing, nothing I'm at all worried about. Blacked out with squid rings around the smaller lights. Yes, its a bit ricey
  7. I thought it was to do with modifying the exhaust flow on-the-fly changes the emissions of the car? I could be off base though
  8. Bastard. I was thinking about the plenum spacer on the way in to work (Yep, I sit on the bus and think about cars.. what of it) and wish I could better explain just what a difference it makes; its actually frustrating how Im not able to articulate what a difference it makes! Its a pretty straight forward install, the guys have explained/documented it really clearly - looking forward to seeing your response once its in
  9. There are images referenced in the HTML - but they're not displaying. I guess they f'd something up!
  10. Are you blind? There were 3 at the last cruise, mine included.. and you were in it!
  11. Are you physically unable to close the bonnet or is it that you think/know/hear its touching once it does eventually close?
  12. That neglects to take into account that when your guage hits the lower line it isnt empty But yeah, if the CEL is on - and you've read the codes off and it says O2 sensor.. a) check its plugged in, b) replace it
  13. Drive it till the light comes on, and fill up completely - that way you can at least get a decent read on what your L/100km is and make a decision from there.
  14. How bad is your fuel efficiency? My city driving gets me north of 16L/100km; never above 21 though; somewhere in that band isnt necessarily pointing to your O2 sensor. There is only 1 O2 sensor in our cars, its in the exhaust dump just behind the turbo. The part number is 22690−AL600
  15. Yeah the quote he received for new parts was fairly excessive. You could technically have it on the road for a lot less, but I think to repair a write off you need proof that quality parts were used? Either way, the breakdown for new parts was:
  16. that came up quick! The guy posted about it on M35Stagea.info, all cosmetic damage - I think he was going to try and buy it back himself if it was cheap enough
  17. Extremely bumpy gravel, so under really constant randomly undulating surface it was making an almost woodpecker noise from the passenger side. See how we go, I wont be even close to maxing out the 1000cc's initially, nor running E85 yet.
  18. Finally got the sway bars in, wasnt able to do one of the rear upper mounts - bolt was just going to thread itself if we tried so left that mount and did the upper. Will organise for it to go to my mates work for hoist access - he'll be able to get in Dr Bolt to remove it & fix up the damage. Noticed some really weird knocking noises driving on gravel though - but wasnt present under full lock.. cant work out what it is (its not the lateral movement stoppers - removed them and it still did it). Walbro went in also. Disassembly of the old housing was more than a small headf**k. Super tight fit to get the walbro in to the housing, but with the aid of some decent sized vice grips it got there. And after all this, the car will sit in my garage for another month
  19. Im still skeptical about pulling the fuse, particularly after I saw the other Duncan write this
  20. Possibly none? No idea what kit he used, but Ive seen some kits whose air tanks dont really look silly large - to the point where I think they'd fit in the spare wheel well (Which means youd lose the spare wheel.. but if youre rolling on 20's with big brakes, you wont have a spare that fits in there any how)
  21. Ah cool. Good to know. I take it theres no option to upgrade the firmware on the units? thats a pretty sweet magic trick!
  22. I assume all of you kids rang them? Hopeless, the lot of ya How much did they end up wanting for it? Was it the 'FIrst edition' of the Fcon V Pro?
  23. Sinergy Motorsports in Adelaide have one by the looks of things http://www.sinergymotorsports.com.au/thumbnails.php?album=481
  24. And given theres no frame around the glass, id be wanting to reinforce the gas struts - assuming this 'tailgating the bike' involves leaving the hatch wide open
