To elaborate if I may Id definitely agree with that and suggest that most of us have little interest in drag racing as a sport.
The 1/8 is, then, of little interest, as I would say that the impact that the driver has on the time plays a proportionately more significant impact on the time that can be achieved rather than the car for itself - and thats important when most of us want to use a 'drag race' as a measuring stick of our cars & their current tune; it's more difficult and less accurate to see big gains over short runs.
