  1. Good plan Because it was sold as the Infinity G35 as opposed to the Nissan V35
  2. I saw it advertised.. from memory, Its got an FMIC with 'CALSONIC' stenciled on it, an extremely large pod filter and non-stock intake.. unsure if it goes all the way to the turbo or not, full exhaust (Could be Impul, likely given the body kit - although Im not up to scratch with my exhaust kit knowledge), and that suspension is definitely not stock.. I didnt see if it was just lowered on springs or if it had full coilovers though. Id suggest a high probability of an Impul ECU in there also. The thing has 28,000km on it - apparently genuine too
  3. Did no one in Japan do work on them? The 'big' tuning houses all worked out how to crack the M35 ECU and reprogram/remap to support appropriate mods.. but most of them want your car to do the tuning on OR charge through the roof for the services with only a very vague description of what the outcome will be. My car had a high flowed turbo installed, and I dyno'd it at the last SAU:SA Dyno day with the stock ECU it had 125awkw.. a week later we ran it again with my Impul ECU and got 175awkw; but its a mixed bag if you go for anything other than an aftermarket Nismo ECU for us
  4. If you can find one, and you dont have to sell your kidney for it, it'd be a great step in the right direction. Rare as hens teeth though! Its a shame about the HKS, but thats fine; you'll hit the limitations of the gear box before you've maxed out the gains that you can get from the emanage.
  5. My city driving gets me 15-20L/100km (untuned with random mods) currently. Were you going to keep it stock?
  6. I heard someone once calculated that his car is capable of going 0-60km/H in 1.92 seconds
  7. It could well be the Nismo. I noticed a huge improvement in responsiveness 'down low' when I put hte Impul in but I wouldnt go so far as to say that it no longer retards down low - particularly given the amount of black exhaust fumes Ive seen spew out the back when taking off (Not even with my foot 'down'!)
  8. No dramas Leon Scott pretty much hit the nail on the head with respect to what I was getting at, as he wasnt able to get around the sub 35kph 'restriction' by going to a manual throttle cable I think you could say that when you put your foot down it does open up the throttle but the restriction is caused by a secondary set of 'safeguards' I guess. It sounds like Craigs ECU isnt partaking in those safeguards though. Curious indeed
  9. Ouch. Hows the whiplash? Did the airbags deploy?
  10. Their pump petrol is 'better' than our BP98 though, isnt it?
  11. So with the throttle restrictions; can someone with a stock ecu & an informeter tell me what they get as an output from the "Throttle %" if they flatten the accelerator from a stationary position? Does that corroborate the restriction or is it 'futher' along the line?
  12. I didnt think he had the Haltech plugged into the Impul at that point in time?
  13. The M35 is nothing like the C34/R32/R33/R34; nistune isnt an option at all.
  14. Sounds like we might be getting close to that magical number!
  15. Freeway Dolphin http://www.freeway-dolphin.co.jp/dolphin-r/new_handle/dolphin-r_new_handle.htm
  16. That looks like it'd set alarm bells off with ASIO May have to get some details of your construction of this... eventually !
  17. I dont mind the half painted half CF bonnet. I'm more intereted about what else the car might have going on that warrants all those gauges! Or was it a 'just for looks' thing
  18. Andys clicking is the solenoi; so if yours isnt connected that shouldnt be the issue
  19. I spoke to Martin @ Willall on this topic briefly a few months back; to his knowledge no one in SA can tune FCons, but Willall do have experience with tuning the Emanage Ultimates - but (at the time at least) never on an M35. I dont believe anyone in SA has had their M35 tuned, but I've almost finished sourcing the parts I need for my next upgrade & will be getting the guys down at Willall to see if they can work some magic. Being quite a common piggyback system, most of the major tuners in SA should be able to work with it though.
  20. Saw a white C34 that looked to have big shiny rims heading West on Wakefield St in Adelaide on Wedneday night at about 9pm, I was in a taxi heading in the opposite direction
  21. Non-highway driving kills me, all my driving is stop start short trips of 2-10km, or hills driving with no option to maintain a consistent speed. Whats 'economy' Id say im still running quite rich mind you, almost ready for a tune - getting tired of seeing a nice ploom of black in my rear view mirror when I take off
  22. How many liters mate, is that 60? 70? 79.9?

  24. Ive seen Chris Rogers mention he cant source particular parts at the moment, due to the current situation in Japan - so I would anticipate it may have affected the supply of parts in general. Unfortunately I dont know any further details. Have you tried getting in contact with the Nissan dealership your panel beaters are going through? Is it one of the 'bigger' ones in your area? I know some of t he guys on here have a pretty good relationship with some of their local Nissan dealerships, may be worth ringing around to one of those if possible.
