  1. Given you now have a custom prototype.. replicate it! http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-Your-Own-Prototypes-%3a-How-to-make-your/ there may be better tutorials for making vacuum molds etc just an idea though. Id buy one too
  2. I only knew the part numbers because I installed them on Monday night, and had taken a photo of the box prior to installing them! Great upgrade btw. I believe Scotty is running QFM pads, A1rm from memory. He wont stop raving about them.
  3. RDA954S (front) RDA7657S (rear)
  4. I bought locally, from a private seller - generally pretty happy with the purchase, no major issues with the car (had it for over 1 year now), and the turbo had already been replaced when I bought it.
  5. Thanks for that mate. I'll send through the difference to you now
  6. I've got one sitting on my desk at home, I havent the foggiest idea how it operates - I assumed it was a sensor of some description (the warning on it is DO NOT DROP so I figured it worked as G/shock Sensor), but it could well tilt the seat in the event of a crash. I'll take some photos of it tonight
  7. That would be my understanding also; obviously if theres no sensors other than the ones in the seat - then the bags will never go off if you've put a resistor in its place.
  8. Yep, will work - Ive got one (or something very similar) in my car (came with it from Japan). Its basically just a resistor, to make the airbag system think that the sensor is still attached.
  9. Sounds like a reasonably viable option to me Steve; whats the difference in price going to be?
  10. We bled them and put in a mid range PBR fluid; nothing too extravegant but better than what you'd get if you took it to a generic mechanic. I had the 'faded brakes' convo with my mate whilst we were doing the brakes, he felt pretty comfortable that what we were doing would be fine . Even when cold, the new setup felt like it had a heap more stopping power than what I was driving this time yesterday - but given I changed so many components at once I wouldnt be so bold as to attribute it to 1 particular bit; as a whole - the system is working nicely. I'll keep an eye out for that brake dust though
  11. Did the RDA slotted rotors and EBC pads (red at the front, green at the rear) tonight; and a full bleed of the brakes. Waaaaaaaaaay more bite. Good upgrade, very straight forward and, no brake squeal!
  12. Got it I dont see either of those issues being of particular concern to me - but good to know!
  13. Not to get too offtopic, but any idea why they hate them? Id be looking at going the Profec B II route
  14. I definitely had issues with signal when doing Adelaide -> Falls Creek last year; I used my N96 for GPS (it does/did NTSC video out to my in car screen ) with offline maps. A friend who tours with a band also suggested not relying on phones for GPS as the maps fall over in the middle of nowhere (Where you often need it most). Im with Three also, I may just be overly cautious! I dislike getting lost Im thinking my next phone just needs to be able to do NTSC video out via svideo and that should keep me happy for a bit longer - my current android phone (Motorola Milestone) lacks this feature
  15. In and around the capital cities that should be fine, but when you're driving out of the main cities you'll struggle for bandwidth/signal if you't not with on Telstra (in my experience at least) - and then you'll have no maps
  16. Yep you could, but google maps requires an active data feed.. so you could tether the tablet to another Android handset running a wifi hotspot OR perhaps get a tablet with a sim card slot.. but if you were looking for an 'offline' solution youd need to go the CoPilot (or similar) route
  17. Very clean install Andy/Craig
  18. Was the only difference between tunes your exhaust?
  19. Id ask Darren Spencer about rotors if there isnt a group buy for RDA's on here at the moment (I think I got into the last one).
  20. The ARX springs will get you a little more lift, I didnt swap my shocks over but I've got ARX springs in; with Nismo springs my front lip was 8cm off the ground.. Looked AWESOME but killed me in terms of functionality. Im now somewhere around 15cm off the ground at the front. So if you need some height and can source the springs, do it
  21. Anyone (Craig, Iain, Scott, Aaron or anyone else that has played with the injectors ) know what sort of harness our VQ25DETs uses? Madaz is looking for the info for the group buy Pictures would, apparently, suffice! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/352869-group-buy-siemensbosch-injectors/page__view__findpost__p__5716273
  22. yeah Ive seen them pop up on Yahoo Auctions Japan for ~$1000 AUD or there abouts.
  23. Pretty sure they're custom made. Its not like an 'off the shelf' HKS part or something.
  24. George at GT Autosound in Adelaide did the alarm install on my M35 - I'd have no reservations about heading back there for any sort of audio/stereo installs.
