  1. It finally showed up, in a very well traveled looking postage satchel with no padding :| Everything looks to be in order, no damage to the box or the components.. looks like its all there and brand new. Fingers crossed theres no dramas! I'll see if I can photograph some of the setup/install and screen options for this thread (and M35Stagea.info) I should really learn japanese; the manual has 91 pages of documentation for them, and 20 for us. Im pretty sure their language isnt THAT inefficient, so Im guessing they just get more details... bastards!
  2. Ride height looks fairly standard (Based on that photo from the rear) - assuming 'Autech' suspension is what they throw in the AXIS it should be looking a lot more 'slammed' imho. Too odd!
  3. I wonder what on earth they (Autech) did to it
  4. Never mind! Can he do other Greddy items at a good price?
  5. Its been discussed a fair bit, general concensus is that they're great bang for your buck.
  6. Got an update on the postage tracking for my Informeter.. Last time I ever use USPS.. where on earth was my parcel for those 8 days?
  7. If he hits one more kerb I'll be banning him from the stag
  8. Double whose power? Me, Jetwreck or Aaron?
  9. Im pretty sure my GCG rebuild has a BB core; done before my time though. Thank god too - the guy ended up being charged just shy of $5k for the entire thing
  10. Hey, if I can get one done in Adelaide for $90 Im sure you can get one done in melbs Might be worth asking if the SAU:Vic chapter is planning a dyno day any time soon, good way to get a cheap run in for the sake of checking numbers if you dont wanna spend too much cash on it (SA dyno day was $40 for me (non member), same place would normally charge me $90) Customs have my informeter, I think.. Bastards.
  11. Yeah Im with Andy, that height looks fine. Mine looked SERIOUSLY slammed when I got it, and it was just under 10cm off the ground at the front - and thats with a low hanging body kit and s-tune springs.
  12. news me to me, good tip though I wasnt going to hack mine, I was going to eventually get my dash ripped apart because I think I have a 2nd cigarette adapter in there somewhere (Previously powered the mini disc changer)

  14. Create an account on IM and throw the details in to http://www.importmonster.com.au/estimate to see how much it'll actually cost to get here. I assume you understand it, but Import Monster is a 'Proxy bidding' service for YAJ [Yahoo Auctions Japan]. So they bid on the items, if they win the auction it'll rock up at a warehouse in Japan owned by IM, then they put a new address on it and stick it in the post & it rocks up at your house. Any how, that $348 item ends up being ~$530 when it arrives at your door, by my estimates at least. 10 business days is a safe time frame to say something will arrive from Japan (by air, of course), my ECU took less than that to arrive and Ive heard similar time frames from other people. OBD refers to a standard communications protocol used by car manufacturers. Its kind of like USB for cars, the plug is near your left knee if youre sitting in the drivers seat Our Stageas have an interesting dialect of OBDII though, they dont like talking to most OBDII readers - but the Greddy Informeters work a treat!
  15. They can be had cheaper than that, you just need to be either patient or have friends who have access to distributors I have one coming from the USA at the moment, should end up costing me $350 to my door. Theres always some on YAJ, approx $350 also but then you have shipping and commission charges to get it out here. I know what you mean
  16. Likewise. Got out the cut and polish after the wash indicated how poorly other people park/open doors bastards.
  17. They fit quite nicely beside the stock ECU actually
  18. Basically confirms that its just a re-flash, not any sort of internal piggybacking etc. Good news of that being that if we ever have someone who can work on them locally they'd be able to read the Nismo ECU to get a starting point for tuning
  19. Good man! Will be interesting to see if theyve done the same thing as Impul on the main chip (in terms of covering it in gunk so it cant be easily re-read)
  20. Yeah I did some research before I decided to jump on to one, been pretty happy with the service so far. Its not exactly 'cheap' but it still works out cheaper than I can git one elsewhere; I guess they do have overheads & want to make a profit. Cant hate on them for that Awesome stuff re: Nismo! You're all stocked up now! Have you ever done a power run on the dyno? Would be a nice 'look what I did in a weekend' power change
  21. Managed to pickup an Informeter Touch on the cheap from the States, unfortunately the seller only offered shipping within the USA - so Im proxy'ing it through 'ShipItTo'. Its arrived at one of ShipItTo's warehouses, so hopefully they'll send it out Friday their time (our overnight), and I'll get it Monday/Tuesday
  22. Well they are special, the particular model isnt used in any other vehicle afaik? But, functionally, I didnt think they were any different to your stock standard turbo and wouldnt require any 'special' skillset to rebuild?
  23. Well I guess there are two Duncans in the Stagea forum.. Spose we just end up on peoples mind
  24. Wheres your hiflow One day I'll make the drive across and see if I can persuade scotty to make me one up too.. one day..
  25. Nice one. Havent used the tool myself, will have to check it out
