  1. Glad to hear youre okay mate. Totally sucks balls about your car though Loved that colour, I was contemplating flying over to checkout the car before you bought it way back when
  2. Get on the tools yourself
  3. Internet diagnostics wins the day again, got a new AFM in there - right as rain
  4. They seem to be few and far between, Ive only had mine up on Willall's dyno - apparently thats the closest for me (and it aint close by). Ive heard there are others down south, but Im not sure on specifics.
  5. Sounds exactly like a drift car to me
  6. Its an extremely minor grievance, but it does irk me somewhat. It appears as though if a user uploads an image/avatar without specifying what the dimensions will need to be (when the long side is 120px) it assumes that the image needs to be 120px by 120px - and most arent, which renders them looking stretched.. Im not sure how keen you guys are (or if you are even able to) modify components of IP Board, but I think it'd be fairly easy to implement the function getimagesize to determine the long side of an image, and also work out the ratio required to set the size of the short side - so that the image doesnt appear stretched even if the user hasn't specified a preference. Cheers, Dunc
  7. I remembered bits and pieces of your thread - couldnt remember the outcome or exactly what was the go. Its reassuring to hear that someone had the same problem and the fix wasnt too costly. Time to get in contact with Jesse Streeter I guess, doubtful I'll be able to source one here for cheaper than what I can do on Yahoo auctions!
  8. Its possible to check an AFM with a multimeter, isnt it? Maybe I should give that a go I take it there arent any AFMs that would work other than a unit off another M35?
  9. That thought crossed my mind too, but surely thatd through an ECU code? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ob...st-t281894.html indicates there are AFM malfunction codes. Cheers mate
  10. So basically I was going from a 60 to a 100 zone, car started reving up and making boost and the engine cut out, died completely. Fortunately there wasnt much in the way of traffic and I had a mates following me in another car (we were going to go camping). The car struggled to turn over, but got there after a couple of attempts but sounded a bit spluttery and the engine light was on. Managed to limp it back home, but I it wont rev much past 2000 rpm, if I tried it would bounce the revs back and forth over a 100-200rpm range and surge almost like a bunny hop. We pulled in to a servo part way back, my mate was low on fuel. I didnt need to fill up but when I went to restart it it REALLY struggled to get going again, almost thought it wouldnt start up at all. Ive tried to pull the ECU codes, got four zeros. Took the front end off to check the intercooler piping, and also checked the engine bay - all looks to be fine (Im not a mechanic by any stretch though) Anyone got any thoughts or suggestions as to what I can do/check to isolate the problem? Cheers!
  11. Ima bit of a novice, but my understanding is that a rolling code is essentially a system that uses an algorithm that is unique to your alarm/immobiliser - so every few minutes the code that your remote sends to the car to disable it actually changes, based on this algorithm. This means that a near by crim cant just 'listen' for the unlock sequence and then replay it at a later date when you're not around; because the sequence will have changed and will never be useful again. Its the same way the 'RSA Tokens' that banks use, and some large companies use for Remote IT logins etc. Im pretty sure Autowatch complies with both 3 points of immobilisation and rolling codes.
  12. Will keep my eyes out for it Bloody hell.

  14. Nice one Keir. What tyres you looking at & when you getting them fitted?
  15. Theres a few wreckers in Adelaide that have had C34s in the past, have you tried a few of them? Also take a quick look through the 'Stagea Parts' section here on SAU, theres been a few C34s which have been parted out, dunno if any have mirrors left or not - perhaps read through the threads to see if theyve been nabbed or not Oh and perhaps be a bit more specific with your thread titles in future
  16. Its definately Consult II, however I cant confirm if a chinese rip off will suffice - but the workshop manuals DEFINITELY only mention Consult II. Though at $30, its not an expensive endeavour to find out if the cheapies will work
  17. A bit too much gutter rash for me Bee, good luck with the sale
  18. Interested in this pending pics
  19. I went with some blank Nissan keys for my M35, I bought them on ebay but apparently Stirling Nissan have some (according to http://sterlingnissanparts.blogspot.com/20...ssan-parts.html at least), the part number for them is H0564-AU000 - I got them cut at just some regular key cutter place. Ive had no dramas with them at all I have an aftermarket alarm & immobiliser fitted to my car, so that handles the remote central locking component for me. Got any pics of your new ride?
  20. You could potentially configure a squid proxy to cache it all. There appears to be a pro version of ninite which is designed to allow you to easily cache the install data, $20 per month though so unless youre doing quite a number of installs its a bit of a financial outlay to just save you some data.
  21. I hope you use http://ninite.com/ for half of that
  22. Nothing else on your car would get even remotely close to fitting mine unfortunately, and I was too slow for the mats so I didnt even bother chiming in on em. But I would've been keen
  23. No dramas. Right, well - on to your questions I have no idea what a TBE is, but if the car is stock - you wont be tuning it to 230 awkw. The ECU itself is an arse to work on, theres been some limited success with EManage Ultimate as a piggy back, but even then I dont think youre going to get that sort of power out of a stock car. A company in sydney is apparently working on remapping the ECU, but I've been hearing that for the past 6 months. Sound system is okay, if youve got the factory 'upgraded' Bose system, it has a sub in the spare tyre hole, and is a bit better - but if youre an audiophile you may well want 'more'. I dont think, stock, they ever had amps from the factory.
  24. Im sorry, did you just say M35 TT?
