  1. So with the help of the missus last night, we now have a translated version of the fuse box I've left it as the 'direct translation' as its more amusing that way, 'room lamp' it should all make some degree of sense though. Hopefully it proves to be of some use to someone else eventually
  2. Everything about that front end looks good
  3. Well I didnt use my multimeter for it simply because its too difficult to use in the footwell - my height doesnt really help make me 'nimble' either. Took out every fuse and inspected them.. all looked fine I'll see if the missus can help me translate some of the kanji tonight Edit Just removed the mounting plate and the windows are now working. Remote lock via the keys now seems to be on the fritz, unlocking does work though.. today perhaps isnt my day!
  4. That was my initial thought, short something while playing with the monitor, but I havnt connected anything up - unless I one of the screws for the mounting plate in the roof managed to pierce the plug =/ I realised the windows weren't working on my way to get the multi meter, sounds like I can put it to good use now
  5. Has anyone with an NM35 had to replace a fuse? I've just realised my interior electrics arent working (electric windows, and sun roofs specifically) - but the radio, wing mirros etc is still all fine. I'm assuming I've somehow blown a fuse over the course of the last week. I managed to locate the fuse box, and the back cover of it has a description of them... in japanese. The wiring behind that panel for me is an absolute dogs breakfast though! I had to take the entire panel off (not just the little cat flap cover) to see the fuses! Must be for the alarm etc Any how, heres what I'm working with If anyone has the feintest idea which one might be something like 'electric windows' or something it'd be much appreciated!! Cheers, Dunc
  6. I thought that too, but they didnt seem to match up & I didnt want to bend/break anything by forcing it - the colours under the black plastic didnt line up either. I dont have a multi meter on hand but I might drop in the DSE and pick up one of their cheaper ones to amuse myself
  7. Ive had a few days off sick and I was starting to get bored sitting around the house, so I decided to go play with some shit in my car - took a screwdriver to the roof mount TFT monitor to see whats up with it.. Theres no power hooked in to the thing Im now wondering if it ever had power or if they decided to disconnect it during compliance or something. The unit itself has three connectors for power, and they look like so The hole in the roof had only, well I assume it is, the standard interior light power connector.. Should there be additional wiring in the roof, can the standard power socket be pulled apart and jacked in to this unit or will I need get some work done to get the power to it?
  8. I think I need a tune up My foot isnt heavy, although my trips are short.. first fuel up was 18L/100km, 2nd was 17.5L/100km =/
  9. Just realised I'll be interstate this weekend Maybe next time!
  10. Grey Series 2 (plates "MY STAG") on The Parade, drove past me as I was getting in to mine - he definately saw my car
  11. Pearl white C34, did a u-turn in front of me (as I was walking towards my NM35) on The Parade this evening at about 7pm
  12. Congrats! Looks like an awesome buy
  13. Just after some ideas/thoughts from you guys. The front lip of my car was sitting at about 9cm on lowered springs when I purchased the car, I've since had these swapped over for some stock V35 springs and its not at about 13cms in the middle of the front lip. I was hoping I'd get a little more out of them than that, as apparently they're the same spring as a stock M35. My car does have a kit, so that coul well be playing a role, but other than that does anyone know how high the middle of the front lip should be on a stock standard M35? Does anyone have some experience with the BC Coilover kit ( http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...at=0&page=1 ) and know how high I might able to get the front? I dont think I'll be able to get it up my drive way until I hit about 18cm or possibly higher I'm going to shoot them an email asking pretty much this anyhow, but thought if I could get some standard numbers of you guys and any learn from your experiences it might make this all happen quicker/smoother
  14. Gray W34 (S2 I think), Plates were RSS-250; travelling along Glynburn Road yesterday at about 10:30am
  15. All of it useless? Rats. I was hoping some might be at least partially okay to update/re-flash, ah well I guess thats how it goes. I'll leave it be for the time being though, mostly because the reversing camera is handy
  16. Yeah? Hrm.. Will have to give that a go! edit How'd you enable yours Brian? I went through all the options in the menu on the screen, where two options presented themselves I tried each one - and after making each alteration I scanned for bluetooth devices on my phone but never found any. Any thoughs?
  17. I think this system is a little bit different to the standard xnavi system, but I think I saw a V35 with the same setup on here some time ago; I'll chase that guy down and see if he was ever able to do much with it too I dont think it's ever seen a dyno. Its the first turbo I've owned, but I've test driven two other Stageas for comparison in the past month; I'd say the boost comes in at about ~2750 and stays on till gear change - nice solid delivery, feels like it peaks at about 3500-4000. Cheers mate Im a fan of the wing too its just a little cheeky one but I agree that it really sets the whole back end off. Fingers crossed we can suss out something with the stereo/navi, time & Chris Rogers will tell
  18. Im near Magill, definitely keen to see what else can be done though. My system does have a reversing camera, and it works an absolute treat.
  19. If I can get my ride height up I should be able come along, I dont have a preference for what day it is.
  20. Cheers mate! Yeah the Recaro's are the most comfortable seats Ive ever sat in, super happy with them Ta! I've seen his name thrown about a little, Im just in the process of getting my post count up so I can PM him to discuss some of it too - thought I might as well throw it out to the general community for feedback and discussion first though. Im in Adelaide though, so I dont know how easy it'll be for him personally to work on it but he might be able to suggest some people if I need work done Pretty sure its not height adjustable, I took it down to Jap Motorsport and that was their first thought, they had a gander and confirmed that it looks like lowered springs. If someone else wanted to swap their stock springs for mine I'd be happy to trade them though!
  21. Hey Dale, Thats fantastic news - thankyou! If my mechanics aren't able to find anything I'll let the know about the BC BR's and go from there. Fingers crossed they do source something locally so I can get it done asap though
  22. Ive been looking at buying a Stagea for over 18 months now, and I finally bit the bullet and purchased one (was advertised on SAU also) and it drives like a dream. Im currently attempting to source new springs (possibly coilovers) to raise the ride height and make it more managable. With that taken care of, I'm curious about finding out how some of the electronics work and what can be done with them (if anything). To that end, what can be done with the existing 'audio' system in my car? Im fairly sure it was an aftermarket kit that has been fitted, it isnt a popup system. The Sat nav system associated with it is a Panasonic CN-HD9000 and the headunit is an Alpine DVA-9860J Im not sure if these are antennas for the systems or not, but both rear side windows have identical wire configurations on the inside. and on the windscreen... It also has what looks to be a microphone.. There is some sort of Car Security system, the car is fitted with an immobaliser however other than that I dont know what specifics of it are. This unit on the dash has an antenna though? Just throwing this out there for ideas, if anyone knows what can be done with the existing stuff it'd be great
  23. I thought I'd dig this thread up a little as its somewhat relevant to what I need at the moment. Is this the BC kit that was mentioned earlier? http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...at=0&page=1 Im looking to get either new springs or a coilover setup for my recently purchased baby M35, however Im doing it for the opposite reason to most; my car is sitting too low for me ! Id say the front lip is about 8cm off the ground and Im making far too much contact with every day obstacles, add in to the equation that I cant even get it up my drive way and it starts to make a little sense. Ive got a few guys here in Adelaide chasing up parts for me, but I figured some of you might have suggestions as to an easy way to get my ride height up to something closer to standard. Is a new set of coilovers going to be the easiest way to get it done or are there some 'standard' springs out there which will actually fit properly and raise it up a little?
  24. Cheers for the tip on that, Im getting my brakes looked at on friday with the possibility of having them machined. The guys will tell me if they're not in good shape for machining, but I dont know if they'd be aware of other suitable brake without calling around; so that might save them some hastle
