  1. Not sure, has anyone run one in Australia yet? I couldn't think of any when I picked it up. Yep, EMU is still kicking around - that'll be part 2 of the upgrade process (No point getting a tune and then changing my exhaust drastically!) Most of my panels were picked up late last year/early this year. There were considerable delays in getting my repairer working on the car, he just has too much work. But I did see that vehicle go up on ebay - would've been a brilliant donor, it had literally opposite side damage to my car. Never mind All 4 wheels definitely were not on the ground when it came out of the embankment - it felt as thought it might roll in fact. Still unsure how it all happened really.Oddly enough, my ETS fuse was also blown when I got the car back from the repairers.
  2. Not all of this explicitly occurred 'recently' but it’s the first most of you will hear of it So late last year I had a remodelling incident with a cliff face. On an 80kM/h road, I was going 50kM/h around a sweeping downhill left hand bend in the rain and my car decided traction wasn't going to be an option. I ended up ploughing into a rocky embankment/cliff face. Pulling out of that resulted in a 180 degree turn and the back of my car then ended up in the guard railings. It looked something like this. But fret not. I retained ownership after the accident, received an insurance payout after JCI decided it was an uneconomical repair (ie there's no way it could be done for the agreed payout value) so I took their money and invested it in Import Monster shares. Well, I traded it with Import Monster for their services and parts. I didnt undertake the actual repairs myself; Im just not that handy - I had a local repair shop do the work and, whilst it took a while to get started, the results are first class. I sourced all the parts for them to ensure there was minimal confusion as to what was required. 2nd hand panels were used where feasible but I sourced new from Nissan for the rear 1/4 panel, and hood/guard inner supports, rack tie end rods, guard liners, and all the necessary clips. Due to the damage to the front and rear bars, and the necessity to go through a full Roadworthy inspection I elected to return the car to 'stock' wherever plausible (ie, I kept the HDi FMIC, scottys dump pipe, Whiteline sway bars, etc). All this was done on the paid out budget, including labour. The car has now received roadworthy, registration and (again) full comprehensive insurance Its been a long wait, but I think it was worth it. Now on to the next phase with the car, I've got a Nismo exhaust sitting on the shelf - 1st gen, no twin tips for me, a Mines ECU I havent tried (I'll run the Impul again for a bit though), and a set of practically new JCI Coilovers.

  4. Im not sure what model it came on, its not a common feature though. The centre console should colour match 100% with the rest of your dash - basically something like this I believe your double din fascia is one of these http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/392305-v35-g35-single-or-double-din-stereo-install-kit-metra-99-7604/
  5. Pretty sure we don't have an error code for 'replace spark plugs' - I'd definitely be insisting they fix the fault.
  6. I missed that, I couldn't get over the centre console double din replacement. Not a fan. IMHO, try and find an OEM unit (or just a better aftermarket one) when you have spare time/cash Unless it doesn't offend you, in which case - don't mind me
  7. I'd be hoping Dale finishes his over the weekend and find out how that worked out for him - he was aiming for near on stock response from his rebuild.
  8. I'm not from Sydney, but I've heard nothing but good things about Northshore Prestige Motors, they do more PNM35's than NM35s from what I understand (and whats on their website). Im sure some other locals will chime in with advice also though
  9. I never found the engine cover fitted particularly well once the spacer was in - did you put some risers on the front bolts or just encourage it to bend a little to get some purchase on them?
  10. I'd suggest some actual testing of how much air flow is resticted by the REO is necessary before that gets done. I wouldnt have thought it'd be too difficult to put something in place to measure the airflow at the bottom and then move it to the top (behind the REO but 'on' the core), possibly even behind the core to see how much flows through it (because thats the important bit, right?) ?
  11. Whats the go with the hot side pipe of your FMIC scotty? I assume the stock HDI pipe was in the way of something? (it is a HDI, right?)
  12. The new shoes look good Ryan, good pick. White on white looks the business!
  13. Yep, snow mode is fantastic - does exactly what its meant to! I took mine from Adelaide to Falls Creek 2 years ago now I guess and the car was absolutely brilliant, didnt miss a beat. Defrosting the windows and mirrors was also a nice added bonus of my cold weather pack
  14. Also keep in mind your goals when you're trying to determine what 'sort' of high flow to get; you don't want to end up with a lag monster if it's going to stay as a daily driver. IMHO you'd want it coming onto boost as close as possible to the stock turbo
  15. How about they just measure a couple of diameters or circumferences, Im sure we can just do some maths
  16. Why? Close the bonnet and let the dyno fan run. The Mainline fan blows air at the car at 100km/h, which is exactly what you'd see on the road/track whilst driving at 100km/h; I dont see how its different.
  17. I think they took the engine out the hard way and just generally didnt know how to best approach it, likely wasted heaaaaaps of time. Just glad it wasnt me that had to foot that bill!
  18. Ive still got the invoice the previous owner of my car paid for the highflow and refit of the turbo on my car; to the tune of $4800 or there abouts
  19. blue M35, TE37 style wheels on the parade at around 1:45pm today. You're missing your 250t badge! Looks good apart good that!
  20. The rear 'eyelids' make me do a double take every time, its a 'wait, somethings not right' Those tyres seriously fill the guards!
  21. You should also get 'Spec Code: DIFF6' which, if you hover over, says 'Viscous LSD' (or at least thats what mine does)
  22. Got a VIN? Run it through fast / EPCData ( http://nissan.epcdata.ru/stagea/ )
  23. Might be right there Scott, it doesnt look quite the right colour for K&N. Leon - yep, that'd be radar cruise. You can see the radar in the grill - the solid part around the Nissan logo is the give away. It's possible that its been converted to a non-oem cruise but I wouldnt bank on it.
  24. Looks stock as a rock, aside from the K&N filter.
