S14 With Neo Rb25 Drift Car.

are they GTR front hubs? I couldnt see a drive shaft so how are you keeping the wheel bearings together? -
So what are people seeing with 6766's on RB26's? Curious to get an idea on what we may see when its finally installed
-
Its a damn good result and to be honest that dyno figure would be quite conservative as well. We get the 200SX tuned by Yavuz and at about 430rwkw i have run 137mph at Eastern Creek in complete street trim. I am talking stereo and all, so with a 484rwkw your most certainly going to be running into the 9's at over 140mph I am really looking forward to seeing what the 6766 twin scroll does on our car now. I got a 1.0 rear so it will be interesting to see just how responsive it will be With regard to traction, throw a couple of washers on top of the diff mounts and point the nose of the diff down ie between the diff and cradle. Made a pretty massive difference to the car after we did that. I know it can be fun to drive without them, but nothing beats being pinned back into the seat and not being able to move

Unigroup just tuned a 25/30 with a 6466 and it made 480rwkw at 27psi

Trust T78/t88 Gtr Manifolds, Twin Scroll?
ido09s replied to ido09s's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Pretty obvious flow would be restricted given the chunk of metal in the way. All sweet though, lets hope they have the TS in stock now Thanks heaps for the quick responses guys -

I dont believe they are as affective though are they? -
Trust T78/t88 Gtr Manifolds, Twin Scroll?
ido09s replied to ido09s's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks Josh I have neevr actually looked at, or thought about, twin versus single scroll turbo's and now that we are going to swap the T78 for a 6766 its something that has been asked I nitially just said an open turbo, but glad i looked as i would have made quite a costly mistake -
Morning all I feel so dumb asking this question as i did 4 years working with these things but is the Trust T78/T88 manifold actually a twin scroll manifold? We are upgrading the T78 turbo to a Precision Turbo 6766 and want to make sure i get the right housing The manifold and turbo appears to be split pulse/twin scroll as it is divided, but i had this idea in my head that it needed to have separated, twin wastegates to be a twin scroll manifold Help would be greatly appreciated as i am about to put a deposit on the new turbo any day now Thanks in advance Brad

I have 300ZX rims and the 255's that we use on the S14 and they are pretty damned decent. One thing they do need is a really good burnout for the first run but after that they really only need to have the water taken off them and they will work pretty well. Start at about 18psi and drop a little each time till you find the sweet spot for your car Given cars all round the world are running massive numbers on them i dont think our little street cars really need much more

Spoke to Joe today and its not good Joe doesnt tune Links, not that he doesnt like them, he just prefers to stick to what he does best which kinda sucks, Charlie, as above its a Link G4 we have. Its been a long time since the cars been on the road and has a few tiny things to sort but it wont be long and we will hopefully need a roll cage and a parachute

Would prefer not to name the shop we currently use as they dont really deserve to be hated on what so ever. They know their stuff but i just hate having to make bookings a month in advance and not being able to speak to them over the phone etc I am just a difficult customer, i will never deny that. I know the quality of their work should be priority, but growing up in customer service i also think spending some time with your customers and returning calls is quite important as well and given Joe rang me at 8pm to chat about turbo's i am curious to know more about them. Joe is also very very very switched on when it comes to drag racing and thats something that is quite good to have given we want to drag race the car more than we have previously Thanks for the comments so far, keep them coming

Does anyone have anything to say about GAS Motorsports? Am thinking of going and having a chat to Joe about looking after the car as the workshop we go to now has become ridiculously busy and almost impossible to get into or talk to unless you drive down there which for me is a major issue. Having seen most of GAS or Rotormasters cars at the drag strip it appears their cars are pretty reliable and given his previous dyno records and drag strip times they know how to make reliable power with most engines and ECU's. As with all workshops there is always the good, the bad and the ugly so i am interested to hear peoples thoughts on them

Sard 1000Cc Injectors
ido09s replied to ido09s's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
$900 for anyone that wants some decent injectors for their GTR. -
He probably had another hissy fit and cut it up. IIRC the owner was a little girl who cried over spilt milk

Thanks for all the advice guys Looking like a 6466 is going to be the go as its got some rear housing options to enable us to muck around with things and it should keep us happy for a while The GAS R34 has one on it and they claim they are seeing boost at 3000rpm and making around 550kw atw's which is definitely a step up from the T78 that we are looking for Now to try and find some dyno graphs
-
Definitely a 33D, definitely a 2.6 and yes a twin scroll manifold. Its the stock T88 GReddy manifold. They called it the drag kit BITD as it was esentially an 88 kit with a 78 turbo. I guess this thread has gone a bit off track as people are looking too heavily at the dyno number and not at the turbo being used. The T78 is an air pump thats rated to about 750hp but would like to know what is a step above that isnt a hop step and jump ahead. Garrett only make a GTX35 and then a GTX4202 which is a huge jump. I could go a Garrett T51 SPL but as i cant find someone who has one fitted to a similar setup its hard to make a decision. I havent looked at Precision turbo's so i may have a chat with GAS to see they reckon and what they can supply I may consider a new pair of cams but time will tell. A bit more duration and lift may help but at what cost?
-
Not only does octane booster not work, but have you seen what it does to your plugs lol
-
What sort of detail do you need? the head is pretty heavily ported and far from standard hence the reason it comes on early. Its not the first engine with a T78 Advan has built that works this well either. Dollars wise this is where it gets tricky. Given we already have a pretty decent set up i would like to spend as little as posible. I really do not want to have to sell the turbo kit and start fresh so ideally would like to keep the manifold and gate. I know the dump will probably need to be modified and a new intake pipe and some cooler pipework fabbed up but thats ideally where i would like to stop. I am probably asking for too much, but having been out of the game for 4 years i was simply wondering if there was anything out there that may fit my bill now. The timing is definitely right. The new Ross Balacer trigger setup for RB26 was developed on our car and we have the prototype on it still. There is most definitely no timing issues. Spark wise its all sorted. We did have issues but since going after market ignitor its made a world of difference.

Is there bucket loads of oil or just residue? Your blowby vents back into the intake on stock cars and does cause the whole intake to look rather grubby over time. If you were mopping a litlre of oil out of the cooler pipes i would plug up the oil feed and return to the turbo and do a comp test to make sure the engine is ok. If its only a whole stack of gunk stuck to the sides of the pipework i would put my cash on it being a turbo. How wet is the turbine wheel of the turbo? is it soaked with oil?

Who doesnt want advice these days Been out of the game for nearly 4 years now and have NFI what to do with the turbo on the RB26. We are currently running a T78 drag kit ie the bigger T88 exhaust manifold and gate, and want some more power. Its been on the dyno at Unigroup a couple of times over the last 4 years and we are kinda wondering why it wont make more power. Engine runs on Caltex E85, which is currently E70, and has recently made 400rwkw on a conservative tune and about 18psi. Its got a set of 264/272 degree 9.15mm lift GReddy cams in it with a Tomei 1mm head gasket. Head has been ported quite thoroughly by Pete at Advan. Has seen near 2 bar of boost but Yavuz said it seems to hit a wall and wont make more power. Yavuz likes to keep us in the dark and lets the drag strip do the talking and with consistant runs over 135mph i can see why, car weighs about 1460kgs with me in it, we dont know what power it has made on near 2 bar boost unfortunately. We are beginning to think it may just be running out of puff as i guess the car would be making close to 650 odd hp at the crank. It comes on full boost by a little over 4000rpm but we want more with the same response if that can be had nowadays which i am sure it can. The less boost we need the better but i do understand that to make power you need boost Can it be had and what would you use? We would prefer to keep the manifold and gate, the rest would need modificationss no doubt. Are the cams too small? Unfortuately curently only having internet access at work makes it hard for me to search and see things as work blocks certain free picture hosting sites Any advice is appreciated Brad

Morning all I have a set of 6 x with plugs Sard 1000cc injectors to suit GTR that i would like to sell. We are now running E85 and these were not large enough so have been replaced with something more suitable. They have been out of the car for about 18 months or so now and they were cleaned not too long before they were removed. I really have no idea what they may be worth as i havent investigated just yet, but will say asking around $1200 the set ono to start with and see how we go. PLease dont go bashing on the price, those that are genuine buyers will make offers as they see fit contact me at [email protected] or PM me here for more details. Located in Sydney and pick up is much preferred though will send interstate at purchasers expense and risk Brad
