R33 GTR diff into S14
ido09s replied to Nismo32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
if your wanting to swap the entire diff over, housing and all, you will need the drive shafts and rear hubs as the spline on the GTR drive shaft is slightly different to that of the S14 hub..... you will also need to ad some mounting points from the GTR cradle to the S14 cradle. -

R33 GTR diff into S14
ido09s replied to Nismo32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
not at all.... the car still uses the S14a rear cradle. Sure, it required 2 mounts be put on the cradle to suit the GTR diff, but apart form that it all bolted straight in -

R33 GTR diff into S14
ido09s replied to Nismo32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
We put a 32 GTR diff, driveshafts, hubs and brakes on a S14 cause we bought a rear cradle dirt cheap. Don't know how easy it would be without the driveshafts etc as the GTR items are quite chunky compared to the stock S14 items. -
Don't get Fulda's, i managed to crack the inside sidewall of both rear tyres (255 18's) all the way around the tyres and they were only about 3 months old. I know they are cheap crap but that's just dangerous.

can you tell me what you had to take off this shifter to make the quick shifter work?? i bought a standard shifter off someone on here and when i rcvd it he had raped it for all the parts required to make it work..... if it still has the nylon bit above the metal ball in the centre of the shifter let me know.... this is the bit that locks the shifter into the box...... also like to know if you will COD it to me in Sydney at my expense...... if your not quite sure of the bit i am talking about send me a PM and i will send you links to some pictures.....

make note of everything you do and keep it in a diary..... note down dates, times and names of people you speak to for everything. Hopefully it doesnt turn nasty but if it does you will at least have a documented record of what follow up you have made to resolve the issue.... this is always a good thing

This is the exact reason why Andrea doesnt like driving hers all the time. You spend every cent of your hard earned cash making it exactly what you want and then its gone in a split second main thing is that your ok.... we can only hope now that insurance comes through for you. Although this is really harsh..... if your insurance company is going to pay you out and only gives you market value, which you obvisouly wont be happy with..... how would you go sueing her, or her insurance company, for loss of moneys as a result of her causing the accident?? As i say, it is really harsh, but so is the fact she just destroyed your dream ride and possibly lost you heaps of cash at the same time.......

A big thanks to Brett for organising the day, it certainly was a far better event than any street meet :D I had 15 runs throughout the day but thats only cause i was being lazy and going easy on the car..... About the only thing i would have hoped for was a bit of track preparation but thems the breaks. Looking at the video footage i have the 200 did not like leaving the line without a small amount of tyre smoke...... my best run of the day was a 12.9 at 105mph i think it was..... bestt 60 footer was a high 1.9. plenty of room for improvement, but its time to get the car back on the dyno and turn it up i think :D:D:D:D I am certainly in for the next one Brett if you guys will have me..... Hoepfully we have proven to the WSID officials that not everyone that organises a day out there is going to spoil it for everyone and they let a few more pit crew in :D

Hey guys I bought a shifter for my girlfriends car and when its arrived its had the big nylon piece taken off it that holds the shifter into the box..... its sits under the circlip on an RB25 box..... Can anyone tell me if these bits can actually be replaced or once this parts gone does it render the shifter useless...... I was of the belief that due to the design of the nylon bit that it would be physically impossible to get it over either the ball in the centre of the shifter or the top half of the shifter as its diameter is just to large..... can someone please shed some light on this for me please. Brad

PM Theo.... he bought the first one that Advan brought into the county and would be able to tell you if they are a good thing or not. It was fitted to his car at Jamobree but mechanical problems had him sit in the parking lot Would have been nice to see what it goes like now

The 33GTST gearbox bolts up to the RB26. You may need to change engine mounts or something but it should be fairly straight forward, your main problem will probably be wiring.
