lol, i just re read it and read it properly, sorry dude As has already been said, the first thing i always told people to do was a fluid change, water pump and all timing belt bits (belt, bearings, bolt etc. Good oil is always going to help and i have ALWAYS used Motul 300V 20W60. Have used it in so many cars with minimal wear on even race engines. A decent catch can will help prevent any blow by going back into the intake which helps in many ways Last but not least pray to the car gods that the oil pump doesnt fail

Something tells me this is either a troll or someone who bought a car before doing any research AT ALL!!!! You have a stock R32 GTR that you are wanting to smack 2JZ's with and run a 9.66....... do yourself a favour and sell it as i can see the next thread being 'i got done street racing' or 'my engine blew up, what do i do now?'

ours seals fine so far.Only thing is the step would make it easier to line up as it can be a pain making sure its all lined up without it

Will Standard R34 Gtr Dump Elbows Flow 450Kw?
ido09s replied to GD51LA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
450rwkw from low mounts is a pretty big ask, not impossible though as obviously it has been done many time before. I do agree with what Piggaz has said, your going to need all the help you can get. -
I would strongly suggest finding the problem first and going from there. Nothing wore than trying to band aid fix an issue

I dont know what PPG is like nowadays but if they are anything like they used to be stick with the OS gear set. Although only a 2 wheel drive we have been using the full gear set for years now and its perfect How many pumps are in that surge tank? and what pump are you running?

Good Reputable Engine Oil Cooler For R33 Gtr (Rb26 Dett)
ido09s replied to danny14's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
GReddy kick ass. I have fitted too many of them over the years and they fit pretty well. They can be a bit fiddly but they do the job extremely well -
I am putting my money on it being boost cut. I am with Superben, I bet this bloke is looking at the boost gauge thinking its in psi Do yourself a favour and find a local Skyline specialist and get them to set the boost up on the dyno. Badgaz, are you really saying that modifying a car to fix a problem is a good thing? You should never do that. You should always start with a perfect running car and modify from there. Installing mods to cover up an issue is only going to end in tears

United Ethanol Refinery Closure?
ido09s replied to scotty nm35's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
As with most refineries in Australia this is an old refinery. Unfortunately old refineries cost dollars to upgrade and this story has been worded to sound like the government is trying to get rid of ethnol based fuels when i fact this story should be about United complaining that the government wouldnt help them pay to upgrade the facility. As for the making fuels comment, we dont really make much anyway. I should know, i import it all for one of the majors. The whole were screwed if we go to war is just rubbish as people dont realise how much finished product is actualy imported versus what we actually refine I dont understand how you can say that the government is happy to let business close. The idea of business it to make money and if your not making money you obviously dont stay alive. Why is it up to the government to prop up companies constantly? -

Help Setting Up My Profec B Boost Controller
ido09s replied to cuong nguyen's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
So its a Profec B Spec II, should be the same set up wise anyway when plumbing in the wastegate/actuator -
how much boost though? 40psi?
-
I cant remember now, its years ago now lol But they were N1's or the equivalent

complete car, no stripping of anything at all, not even the ppare wheel. The car drove to the track, ran on Bob Jane All Rounders, and drove home Only internal mod is some Tomei drop in cams and cam gears. Daniel has had heaps of runs and knows how to get the thing off the line Here it is a many years ago, pre cams, against a 32 i helped build that made 460rwkw. Skip through to about 6mins 45, its the one that does the burnout
-
I would simply say the dyno is reading high to begin with and if there is a boost leak that the tuner didnt pick up on dont go back there. How much boost were they using to make 325rwkw? and what turbo's? built or stock engine? I have a mate that has that much power and runs 11.3 at around 128mph so there is most certainly something not right with what your saying
-
i dont care what ECU your running, i would get it checked. $50 a few dyno runs or several thousand for a rebuild if it isnt checked and did need retuning, no brainer
-
That can in the engine bay above is a quality bit of kit put together by Leon at Performance Metalcraft. Its baffled, can be built with a -10 drain or however you want it. The breather is hidden away underneath it pretty much out of sight. Well worth the money as it also comes as a complete kit, hoses and all
-
yeah thats it lol for some reason that pic didnt load up for me last time

Help Setting Up My Profec B Boost Controller
ido09s replied to cuong nguyen's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Here are the instructions on how to install it to an internal gate and an external gate. Makes a world of difference when its wired up properly http://www.greddy.com/upload/file/PRofec_Bspec.pdf -
Grab a bar, a half inch ratchet extension will do, and gently turn the fittings in the rocker covers to face each other as well. Be careful with how hard you push as the fittings can be damaged if you have to push them too hard. Then you will have one cross over hose between the 2 rocker covers and the 2 outlets facing forward going to the catch can. Makes it look a little less obvious to the boys in blue. They should end up looking like this, bare in mind these rocker covers arent sitting correctly, but i am sure you can see what i am getting at. It just means there is nothing blocked off and it looks neater as well
-
275's wont help it lol thats a huge tyre for any car to turn over dynos are for tuning and thats it. I wouldnt be too concerned. If your really worried go back and ask them to put the inlet temp sensor next to your exhaust,i am sure you will be happier with the power the car makes
-
how much for the stock exhaust? and where are you located?
