nought wrong with QBN - I'm on a property just out of town, 30 minutes from Civic Areas of Canberra are less desirable. (not to mention the larger block sizes) -
I saw this one as well, but about 3:10 going through the roundabout near hungry jacks and dominos was a GTS-t missing a bit of paint on the RH side of the rear bar. needed a was, younger guy driving. Spotted a white stag driving past the airport towards civic about 2:45

how old are the semi's? (what is the date stamp) -
did you go for the turbo diesel?
-
the only thing that lets them down is the rated capacity (about 2700kg) against something like a discovery/ RR sport (3500kg). I really like our XC90, but doesn't have the capacity for the horse float when loaded up.

that creates an interesting image when picturing an X5 with a GTR on top

as someone else mentions, I'd be looking at the CAS - I had something like that happen years ago where it was a TFI (thick film ignition) module on a ford. -

thanks, good to know the current range, good ones will get harder to find and force prices up. there doesn't seem to be many places in our area that can repair rims. I washed my cars given the weather was so good and tucked the GTR away again. -

Tuesday about 7:45 white Stagea (possibly a 260) driving towards QBN past the airport on pialligo ave Wednesday about 7:30am followed a black R33 GTSt II (vented carbon bonnet and SAU sticker on the rear window, NSW plates) as it left home on bungendore road headed into civic. I pulled up beside your left at the pialligo/ moreshead lights, but you were looking the other way... I was in the silver mondeo legging it to get in front of the ford ranger on my left - your car sounded good as you booted it thought LOL Also Wednesday morning at the duntroon entrance about 7:45 a white R33 GTSt II heading towards civic ACT plates. Think i spotted the came car again later in the day about 2pm in QBN near John Mcgrath (yass road).

Hi Sofi I actually ended up continuing with the rego on my gtr (despite the fact it is driven 2 - 3 times a year), however assuming you are looking to re-register in NSW it is simply a matter of following the processes detailed at this link http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/registration/expiredcancelled/cancelledrego.html I had this sent to me by one of the RMS staff, and I also called the contact centre to confirm over the phone. essentially - you should not encounter any problems with re-registering your car

I see what your point, but have the opposite opinion - the cut and thrust of daily driving is when you need the best in tyres to keep you safe on the road (I have the kids in the car, so nothing cheap that doesn't give the best grip on the road isn't going on). I paid $180 per tyre for the PS3's - can't beat that for BFB. I don't drive the GTR in the wet. the old addage - you get what you pay for rings true in my experience with tyres. -

agreed - I run these on the mondeo daily (PS3's) and they are fantastic. likely I will only get 20,000-25,000km off them, but when it comes to tyres, spend more and get the very best you can. don't cheap out on tyres - I've tried kumho's on the XC90 (followinging a recommendation) and they don't compare to the Pirelli's in terms of grip, feedback and confidence. on the GTR I've been running Toyos's, but will switch to PS2's (std porsche fittment in my size) next time. -

one of the CV's on my XC90 did make that noise (it was the centre one). you don't actually touch the rubber boot, so it may still hold. -

I'd say the the CV needs repacking (grease), they are serviceable and never get done. worth doing all 3(?) while the tailshaft is out - it's perhaps a 1/2hr job. -
inspect your wiring loom running to the AFM's, could be a poor connection or broken wire. also ask the mechanic to check the TPS position as that will impact on idle.
