  1. look for a poor join of the loom into the back of the goil pack plugs.
  2. have you swapped the no.2 coil with one of the others? is it still dead on no.2? if so, look inside the loom plug, as it may have broken a pin.
  3. mate, sounds electricial - check the connectors for the coil packs to ensure there are no broken wires. with the car running, remove the plug into the coil pack of no.1, it is is worst, than no.1 is fine. repeat through to no.6. when you remove one that makes the motor run no worse - then that is the likely coil pack that is breaking down. It may not actually be the coli pack, so check all the wiring closely. if it looks good, then put the good coil pack (the newie from Nissan) into that location and see if is still misses on that cyl. if so, than is it the loom for that plug somewhere. if it fixes that cyl, then it is the coil pack. let me know.
  4. Stacey made 466rwkw with 2530's.....
  5. if you are finding it difficult to get the uni joint to stop from flopping about and going onto the nuts, then grab your trusty electricial tape and run it around the joint a few tumes. will be tight initially, but works a treat you can also get really handy and use shrink wrap over the joint, then apply heat! LW - I'm surprised you cant drop the turbo enough to clear, perhaps remove the metal oil drain direct from the turbo?
  6. Dellow automotive can either cast you a new bellhousing, modify your existing unit, or provide an adapter plate. I think they are still located in Sydney
  7. I agree, go a set of GT 2530's. I was looking at getting my stockers steel wheeled from GCG, but it was only a couple of hundred difference to get the 2530's. You can buy the GT2530's for GTR almost anywhere, just make sure you get the kit for the GTR.
  8. that is pretty damn good, but I would like to see how long the internal stock engine lasts. Still, made the power, so I will shut up! The 10cm housings are not as responsive as the 8cm units. I looked at getting a set of these before I bought my HKS GT 2530's.
  9. and that my friends is why I now live rural.... fu(kers in town....
  10. Hmm - that doesn't sound good....
  11. JL - sounds like the twin system was a good choice I still think for the money I'm happy with the HKS ctyle ones I got from CRD. I can easily clean up the insides with a die grinder. Saved a few hundred $$$, better in my pocket.
  12. No worries mate Yeah, I have decided to install all the gear. just got the earls oil cooler and sandwich plate ($360 much cheaper than a Jap kit) and my HKS style dumps arrive this week. Still considering the Stainless manifolds.... about $750 - $800 though...
  13. yeah - HKS pump is a drop in replacement for the Stock unit. I've seen the stock GTR pump support 298rwkw (rated at ~200L/H), so the HKS one should be good for at least 380+ rwkw?
  14. LW - they are the same as the HKS split dumps, no longer..... I can't understand why someone would buy the CES dumps as they are more then the HKS units. I think the most interesting are the Trust dump/ front pipe combo - they have a longer seperation (but I already have large aftermarket front pipes). I just got a set of the HKS copy split dumps for $450 + $20 postage from CRD included gaskets and bolts...
  15. mate, you can expect to lose that nice turbo, AFM's and any decent stereo gear as well.... No - jokes. If anything is easy to remove (head unit) then get the supplier to post it air mail to you, also put anything like nice gear knob etc in, as it only costs about $50 for air freight for about 2kg's. better than losing stuff. Good luck, everything arrived ok in mine.
  16. very expensive for what is a copy of the HKS design (for GTR) I was quoted something like $700-$800 for split dumps. just got a set from CRD for $450 + $20 posting. this includes all new gaskets/bolts.
  17. I haev heard of this being done to the old V8's etc, I'd suggest you contact Yella Terra or somewhere like that and ask them about regrinds look in the yellow pages? don't really know mate. let us know. (could be cheaper than a set of poncams )
  18. can be done, but is very old tech and why would you want to do that on an RB26?!?!?! lots of VL turbos had this mod.
  19. good for using to drive to and from work and towing the box trailer
  20. guys, my mates parents own a ford dealership - he said a decent '94 XR8 can be had for ~ 8k and an '94 XR6 ~ 5k - 6k. a falcon ~ 4k. They are not worth much.
  21. it is the rear diff that is active - hence the A-LSD light that is on the dash (as mentioned above)
  22. $$$? PM me if you want.
  23. Hi All Anyone got one, or a pair of them? I have all the new bits ready to go on (HKS GT2530's, PFC+HC, Sard 700cc inj, HKS 300L/H pump, HKS adj cam gears)- but I'm on the verge of just selling it all and keeping the stock goods.... I don't drive my car that often, so am having trouble justifying going to the trouble of the upgrade. Not sure which way I'll go with it yet
  24. Hey Richard - what is happening with your engine? are you having it rebuilt?
