  1. TBH - that is where I spend most of my skyline browsing time these days, the UK/ euro guys seem to go more extreme/ intense on their cars - really big $$$ put into some amazing cars love some of the really neat examples they have (would be great to have their budget!!!)
  2. big NO on the KAI's as I already have them on MY silver GTR (great rim though, and look sh1t hot!). I'd say TE's - classic look and style (however I do know of another silver R32 GTR wearing them...) have a look at the UK forums - very useful http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/24434-pics-whee...girls-boys.html my vote VOLK GT-C
  3. spotted about 8:15am this morning Metallic yellow Widebody, R334 (R33 with R34 Front). passed me as I came off the captains flat road heading into Queanbeyan - looked really well finished
  4. great work mate good to see you have your head screwed on right! Damn I wish I had the money for an R35!!! that one you have now is just beautiful, white is my favourite colour for them... keep us updated on how wonderful ownership is!
  5. so he bought it? still on carsales. great looking car just hope he has already bought a house, before spending that sort of money on a car (don't get me wrong - I'd love an R35, but I'll have to wait a long time...)
  6. Dave I have a spare set of 4 Sparco race rims in my garage that might be an option for you to borrow, they are 17 x 9. I was thinking of going along to this myself, but just checked the date and realised I will be recoving from surgery... bit of a bugger as I have a friend that is keen to take his elise and another with an S4.
  7. I would suggest you give thema call and ask specifically to speak to one of the engineers about your issue - or even better make a time to go and discuss. especially that you want to clear the outstanding defect. From my experience it is much better to look like you are workign to meet their rules/ processes rather than appear to dodgy things up and sneak it past them. I don't think you will have issues with the turbos (are they low mount?), pods or cams. pods DO NOT reqiure an enclosure in the ACT last time I checked, but this is something you should verify while on the phone to an ENGINEER (that is what they are called)... Suspension - coilovers are fine, provided they give sufficient clearance between the wheel centreline and the top of the guard lip + you have a minimum of 100mm at the lowest point under the car. Wheels - you WILL need a cert and tyre placard (in the sill drivers B pillar) for anything like you have. I'd suggest you replace/ swap to avoid issues unless you have said cert. (depending on where you are I have 17's on mine that would pass, if you can't come up with any others). let us know how your phoone call goes - oh AND GET THE NAME AND TITLE OF THE PERSON YOU SPEAK WITH!!!
  8. Err - my two kids love going in the GTR, what is wrong with that?!?! I've even seen a dude that had an R34 GTR with a baby in it, saying he and his wife bought a specifc type of pram as it fitted in the boot
  9. Spotted Today 1. White R34 4 door driving past the defence buildings in Russell about 8:45. 2. burgundy R32 GTS-T kitted and had a smack in the front (wearing race tape) travelling towards civic past the Reid CIT about 8:50am
  10. interested in clutch. what was it's operation like? do you have the boot trims?
  11. dark silver R34GTT turning from lights near convention centre towards parks way - Vic plates and completly stock.
  12. spotted the bayside blue R34 GTR blasting over the bridge at the airport heading back to civic about 5:45 last night, sounded nice
  13. spotted a ferrari Red R32 GTR in fyshwick two sundays past - tidy, but I wasn't keen on the colour. spotted this morning R34 GTR Bayside blue heading past the airport towards Queanbeyan.
  14. no, I think this refers to low volume imports such as ours. not the mainstream like MB, BMW, VW etc...
  15. most worrying aspect is if you pull the car off the road for 18 months, doing an engine build etc and then cant re-rego...
  16. in answer to the original question asked, hit and run = contacting a pedestrian/ person on the road with a vehicle and continuing to drive/ not stop at the scene. hit and stop = like the above, contacting a person, but stopping at the scene. my advice is to always stop as it looks bad for the driver if they leave. Obviously this doesn't mean I think drivers are responsible for the stupid behaviour of people who step out into traffic and get hit, but I do think we can always be aware that anything can enter the road unexpectedly and to be prepared for that (comes from my days spent on the motorbike...) speed limits around schools... I'm for it, but not for general 50 in the burbs/ residential areas FFS
  17. Got my GTR inspected for NSW rego this morning (pink slip) and while I was there the guy told me the following; Engineers certs are now only valid for 3 months from the date of issue (and that AKZ - John, is no longer certified!) and that if an import like ours is taken off the road for longer than 3 months after the expiration of rego, then they will NOT allow them to be re-registererd... this is where a blue slip is normally required (I had 1 day LOL), but apparently they won't allow!?!?!. anyone heard this? needless to say, I passed the inspection without a drama off to wakie soon
  18. Spotted x 3 Yesterday about 5:30pm Silver M35 Stagea stock bar exhaust in Manuka, travelled with it from the lights near the post office/ servo until it turned off at the lights in fyshwick to head south on the monaro. I was in the white territory this morning about 8:30 burgundy R33 GTS-T with front mount as it drove over the airport overpass road headign towards Queanbeyan, i flashed and waved, but don't know if you saw (I drove my GTR today!) 8:45 Black R33 GTS-T parked near the Civic CIT
  19. Nice collection, reminds me of the 71' T100R I owned years ago
  20. I've seen your car in civic before CeJay (a while ago opposite the conventin centre) looks tough
  21. spotted a white R34 GTT heading up the monaro going past fyshwick/ grass farm about 11:30 this morning
  22. ^ think you will find a full HKS hard pipe kit was closer to $2000. I'd like to know where you can get the full HKS hardpipe kit for $700!
  23. burgundy R33 with chrome rims turning into BBP at the airport this morning about 8:15
  24. spotted a silver R33 GTST series 2 parked at cockington green, looked nice and tidy:)
  25. how - its all business and as mentioned earlier, no-one has a patent on the design. would you prefer just one telco (i.e. telstra) and put up with monopolised prices? no, that is what competition is all about. someone recognises a need, develops a product and introduces to market. eventually others are going to do the same, or see something existing and also give it a go.
