    Mechanic finally got around to reading my oil pressure and it was the gauge playing up. Oil pressure is still a little bit low but nothing to worry about, i think its just because its due for an oil change. It has 10W40 thats a year old.

    Thats debatable. I have heard this argument many times before however in a turbo car less back pressure after the turbo = more power. This is because it allows the turbo to spool better and back pressure is still maintained before the turbo. The car should have made more power if it was tested back to back. Maybe it would have been worth doing another dyno run straight after with the exhaust on again?

    Thats what i was thinking i figured i would at least be able to hear some knocking or something. Wednesday im going to hook up an aftermarket oil press gauge, i will let u know what happens. but for now i have to just hope its not the oil pump.

    Would leaky valve covers cause this? I was told no but not from a reliable source How can i tell if its a faulty gauge or a real engine problem?

    Hi okay let me start from the start. The oil pressure gauge on my R32 GTR always read around 4. I changed my valve covers and they are leaking oil and now my oil pressure reads just above 0. Is this related or just coincidence? Im shiting myself because i had to drive the car for a fair bit with the gauge reading between 0 and 4. Thanks Adam

    Someone smashed into my GTR last night and im absolutely spewing, its the fist accident the car has ever seen in 20 years im a perfectionist and want it returned to perfect. I only need one quote so i want to take it to the best place in vic (im not to fussed were it is). Is there a place that specialises in imports or something?... or maybe exotic/expensive cars?. lol
