  1. Ive removed this turbo to fit a smaller unit to better suit circuit racing.
  2. A bit of a blurb from the mfr. "Introducing our latest range of roller bearing Turbo chargers. Ranging from 250HP through to 2500HP. Our exclusive ball bearing “carrier” is what sets us apart from the opposition. All our turbos include a “Billet” alloy centre bearing housing and backing plate, which can be polished or anodized in a variety of colours. Our ball races use, “silicon nitride” balls, which are far superior over their steel counterparts in hardness/roundness/rolling resistance etc. Due to our “unique” bearing assembly design, there is no need for an unreliable “thrust” plate/collar which was always the Achilles heal of any performance turbo charger. Even our “large frame” (106mm compressor wheel inducer) turbos use our dual ball bearing carrier design. Due to the ball race we have used, we have managed to keep a large turbine shaft diameter, once again adding to the durability of your turbo charger. All of our turbos are “built to order” Not mass produced. Being designed and assembled in Australia means “factory support” is never far away. You can speak to the person who designed/hand built your turbo direct. All turbos are kept on file via serial numbers, so we know exactly what size/series internals/configuration you have, just by simply quoting a number. Exhaust housings use a generic “footprint”, depending on frame size. I.e. T3, T4, TA, TV. Some model “plain bearing” turbos are suitable to be “upgraded” to our Centre housing/Bearing design. As long as your turbine and compressor wheel are serviceable, we can modify and adapt our “system” to your existing turbo (using your existing comp cover and exhaust housing). Call for more details. We will be adding items to our line up in the coming months, products such as “Billet” alloy backing plates for your generic “plain bearing” T3, TO4 B/E/S etc, “Billet” Fuel pressure regulator, “Billet” BOV, “Billet” Throttle bodies and external wastegates. We also specialize in overhauling your existing plain bearing turbo charger. "

  4. From what youve described its going to need to go on a chassis aligner to pull & measure. I guess if you want to get it repaired as cheap as possible youd be best off stripping it yourself (guards, bonnet, front end, engine, basically everything) & give it to your chosen smash repairer to repair the damage. Id say it will get new bar, bonnet, guard/s, etc anyway. Best off calling around to see how many want to take the job on knowing its not an insurance job & you want to give it to them stripped.
  5. Shoulda jumped in for a few laps, I was too busy laughing to be scared.
