I am obviously ready for a turbo upgrade. RE-RED JMS car I had negotiated a price to buy their full turbo (RX6) setup including Greddy Plenum and injectors. Never to hear from me anymore. They Sold the car. Now I am looking again. Am keen on a Jap Turbo and new Trust unit is within my price range. ADVAN in NSW is now for this month giving 25% discount on all turbo kits. About $7000, normal retail over $10000. This is a little more than I would like to pay however will if need be. I cant help but believe that a Trust turbo mated to a matched exhaust housing external wastegate would have to perform better than a GCG high flow or Garrett fitted to standard manifold. Question for Sydneykid what would you do with that budjet. I would like power around 250rwkw. Yes I know the standard manifold can support this however surely a well thought out aftermarket manifold could make it all work smoother. Maybe I should hold the horses and get a nice internal wastegated turbo like the TD05 (smaller) try it and get exhaust manifold later. Anyone want a handful of hair................

After peoples opinions on these setups on a R33. Response and predicted rear wheel killowatts. Trust Kit T67(TD0625G) with Trust manifold + wastegate + dump Trust Kit TD06 with Trust manifold + wastegate + dump Or bolt on existing manifold and made up dump with a TRUST TD05 SH18G. Would like to put any of these on with existing injectors (with 044) keeping the option of upgrading the injectors later. I have on the car everything else required for a bigger turbo upgrade. Can anyone explain the SH18G/25G jargon. Related to A/R or wheel trim size. Thanks

Martin I havent had the car on the dyno since you fitted the PFC that 43 deg day at Tilbrooks. Good to see if all is well for the drag day. It may need some more work for the colder weather. Appreciated not this day of course. Greg Pinder

For all the PFC HC oweners. I am wondering what people are getting as far as Detonation Indications. When in peak hold it can read a figure of 17. Dont really know what this means. maybe someone can throw some light on the situation. The last two times I saw my Mechanic I forgot to ask.

OK I did a search to see what has been said before. I noticed a lot of people where going to fit a Head gasket. I am interested in the outcome. Is it really required if running 1.2 bar boost out of an upgraded turbo?

I would like to know if when fitting the stealth rear spoiler to R33's if you are required to drill holes in the boot. It is the style as seen on UAS. Also if they can be purchased cheaper than UAS. Thanks.

Matt I am still overseas however if I will be around that time I am Keen. I wont know definetly until after Easter. Maybe I will have a New turbo in. That way I can really balls it up as I have never dragged proper before.

I have not problems realising that my car can handle anything you guys can dish out. 10,000 kms no oil indicates you guys are still driving like Grandmas. Have you got the Quater mile under an hour yet. Normally I would expect my RE540's may be worn out after 10000k however if my suspicious are correct re your driving abilities I wouldnt be suprised if I cant notice any rubber missing. We will see. Nearly got a HC for $200 was too late. Dissapointing.

Due for an oil change on my R33 as I have done many times. I am about to return to my car after 3mnths of no use. I am thinking before I start it could be a good time to drain the oil as it all should be sitting nicely in the bottom of the sump. Or run it to warm it up so it drains easily. Any theories appreciated.

Had you actually ridden in the car if so how did it feel? Lacking a bit of torque in low revs. Cheers

Given the 2835 on sr20 was suitable then the 3037 should be OK on a rB25. However boost characteristics like yours wouldnt be suitable for me. I may give you a visit mid year. I hang out with Chris a bit and seen some of your work. With the turbo and standard intercooler coming off my R33 I have been thinking about bolting them onto my R31 Wagon and running low boost. Not looking to build a weapon just give it some overtaking power when towing. So would need some pipework. Cheap and nasty as possible. I still have to way up the pro's and con's if its going to cost too much I wont bother.

Who has actually seen one of these running on a R33. External wastegate. How laggy would it be. Would it still be suitable to drive through the hills. I had a quick search for previous discussions. Thanks.

Just to put everyone straight I have a R33 Skyline. The echo belongs to a chick friend of mine. Personally if I was some of you guys with no interest in Echos I wouldnt even be looking in here. I guess curiosity killed the cat. However my friend is very appreciative to all who have helped.

I hope Im not taking the piss. I will offer $100 in Adelaide. Saves putting my car on blocks when I go away for extended periods of time. So thats all they are worth to me.
